Chapter 5 - Sparks in the Dark

Chapter 5: Sparks in the Dark

Favour had returned to writing, but it wasn't the same as before. Her hands trembled over the keyboard, and her mind was a storm of doubt and excitement. Each word she typed felt like a test — a reminder that she had once fallen, and now had to prove to herself that she could rise again.

Her imagination, once wild and unstoppable, had grown cautious. Characters whispered their ideas softly, as if afraid she would judge them too harshly. But she remembered the feeling of writing for herself — not for votes, not for comments, not even for verification. That thought was a shield against fear.

For hours, she wrote. Scenes unfolded in her mind like fireworks in the night sky. She laughed quietly to herself when a character said something ridiculous. She paused and smiled when another character did something brave. For the first time in months, writing felt like magic again.

But deep inside, a shadow lingered. Memories of past failures whispered: "What if you can't finish this? What if you lose inspiration again?"

Favour clenched her fists, took a deep breath, and whispered to the darkness:

"I may stumble. I may fall. But I will not disappear."

That night, she wrote until her eyes burned and her fingers ached. Yet she felt alive — more alive than she had in a long time. She realized something crucial: the journey of a dreamer was not about perfection. It was about courage.

And in the quiet of her room, Favour understood the most important truth of all: she didn't need to outrun failure. She only needed to keep moving forward, one word at a time.

Tomorrow, the world might still be watching. Tomorrow, doubt might return. But tonight… tonight she was unstoppable.
