Monday. 8:14 a.m.
The office was quiet.
Kasia walked in first.
Black blouse, gray skirt, coffee in hand.
She set it on his desk.
"Tomasz update: he met her Sunday night. Her place. Left at 11:42. No overnight. She kissed him goodbye at the door."
Alex nodded.
"Photos?"
She tapped her tablet.
Files arrived.
He opened them.
Dinner table. Candles. Her laughing. His hand near hers.
Door kiss. Her arms around his neck.
He closed the folder.
"She's consistent."
Kasia sat across from him.
"She is. No calls to you. No searches. Her phone's quiet."
Joanna arrived at 8:28.
Burgundy blouse, black skirt, laptop under her arm.
She sat.
"Fistoria signed the final amendment at 7:03 this morning. Clause 7.12b is now officially limited to serialized text. No world-building claims. No retroactive rights. Side letter added: 90-day notice for future changes."
Alex leaned back.
"Good."
Joanna smiled.
"They're scared. The blogs are quieting down. Forums are moving on."
