Chapter 2 — From Another World: The Arrival of Erik Stahl 🌌❄️🪖
Meanwhile, across millions, even billions of multiverses away from Aetherion, on Earth in the year 1944 🌍⚔️, a brutal battle between Germany and the Soviet Union raged through the frozen forests of Belarus ❄️🔥.
Amid the bone-chilling cold, a German soldier named Erik Stahl sat inside a Panzer IV, tightly gripping his Gewehr 43. Their tank was preparing to face a Soviet IS-85, a duel that would decide their fate.
"Our hull has been hit! Brace yourselves!" the commander shouted.
A shell from the IS-85 slammed into the Panzer IV's hull, but by sheer luck it ricocheted off the angled armor. The explosion shook the entire tank. Refusing to go down, both tanks fired at the same time… and both were torn apart in a violent blast 💥🛡️.
Erik was thrown from the wreckage, battered and bleeding but still alive. He staggered through the silent, snow-covered forest, his body weak, surviving only by eating boiled mushrooms 🍄 and drinking frozen water ❄️.
Days later, the blizzard grew even worse. Just as Erik was about to collapse, he saw a glowing cave deep within the forest. At first he thought it was a hallucination, but the light was real ✨. His grip on the Gewehr 43 tightened.
"I'll rest inside… and survive," he murmured to himself.
He entered the cave, and as he drifted into sleep, a strange dream seized him. Space and time twisted, stars shimmered, and endless galaxies stretched before him 🌌🌠. A soft melody, "The Great Gig in the Sky," echoed through the dream, making him feel as if he were flying across the multiverse.
When Erik awoke, he found himself inside a mysterious house in the Astrales Mountains of Aetherion 🏡🌄. A young man stood before him, staring with curious eyes. That young man was Arden Moonveil.
"Who… are you? And… has the war ended?" Erik asked weakly, his vision still spinning.
Arden looked confused. "War? There is no war here. You are in Aetherion, not on Earth."
Erik's eyes widened. "How did I get here? And who are you, the one who saved me?"
Arden gave a faint smile. "I found you in a cave. Wolves were about to devour you, so I brought you here to keep you safe."
Erik lowered his head, filled with gratitude. "You… saved my life. I don't know how I can ever repay you."
Arden shook his head. "There's no need. I only wanted you to live."
From that moment, a new bond was formed 🤝✨. Erik decided to stay with Arden, finding a strange sense of belonging in Altharia, a peaceful yet mysterious village. Though they came from different worlds, their fates were now intertwined, bound together to face dangers far greater than they could imagine 🪄🛡️⚔️.
