🎁 Viridian Power Fragment

Alex blinked.

"…Not bad."

He checked his balance.

Points: 20,000

Alex nodded in satisfaction.

"System," he asked mentally, "what's the conversion rate between points and money?"

System Reply:

1 Point = 1,000 Dollars.

Alex whistled softly.

"So I'm basically sitting on twenty million already."

He immediately opened the System Store.

Without hesitation, he purchased:

Breeder Skills — Mastery Pokémon Knowledge — Mastery

The moment the purchase completed—

"Ugh—!"

Alex clutched his head.

Information flooded his brain like a tsunami.

Pokémon genetics.

Breeding compatibility.

Move inheritance.

Hidden abilities.

Evolution optimization.

Training efficiency.

Minutes felt like hours.

Finally—

He exhaled deeply.

"…Worth it."

Alex opened his eyes, shock flashing across his face.

"I know everything now…"

He paused, then asked,

"System, will I get rewards every time I reduce Leon Ashford's luck?"

System Reply:

No, Host.

Special rewards are granted only the first time each Protagonist's luck is affected.

Alex clicked his tongue.

"Tch. Figures."

Then he froze.

"…You said 'Protagonists.' Plural."

System Reply:

Yes, Host.

This world contains multiple Protagonists.

Alex smiled slowly.

"So Leon isn't special."

He nodded.

"I'll find the rest eventually."

Alex then gave a command.

"Merge the Viridian Power Fragment."

Command Accepted.

Warmth spread through his body.

The dungeon's stone walls felt… friendly.

The faint moss on the rocks shimmered in his vision.

Alex felt as if—

The forest itself welcomed him home.

"…So this is Viridian Power."

He stretched his fingers.

"Nice."

Training Begins

Alex turned toward Beldum.

"Alright," he said. "Time to grind."

Beldum's eye glowed brightly.

Alex released several dungeon Pokémon and pointed forward.

"Beldum—engage!"

The steel-blue Pokémon shot forward.

Alex guided it carefully.

Psychic move control Steel-type reinforcement Combat discipline

Then—

He released Aggron.

"Teach it steel-type fundamentals."

Aggron crossed its arms, nodded seriously, and began demonstrating.

Beldum watched with absolute focus.

Alex observed, corrected, and optimized every move.

His mastery-level knowledge showed its value immediately.

Level by level—

Beldum grew stronger.

Valencrest Mansion — The Same Night

Lunaria Valencrest returned home smiling.

She was still thinking about Leon.

About their future.

About how she was finally free.

The moment she stepped inside—

The air felt wrong.

Cold.

Heavy.

Angry.

"Mom? Dad?" Lunaria asked. "What's—"

SLAP!

Her face snapped sideways.

She crashed to the floor.

"…What—?!" Lunaria stared in disbelief. "Mom?!"

Marianne Valencrest trembled with rage.

"How dare you ask why?!"

Lunaria clutched her cheek.

"Why did you hit me?!"

Roland Valencrest's voice was ice-cold.

"Do you even understand what you've done?"

Lunaria frowned.

"…What did I do?"

Roland roared,

"The Runcandel family has canceled the marriage contract!"

Lunaria's eyes widened—

Then she smiled.

"Really?" she said happily.

The room exploded.

"YOU IDIOT!!"

Roland slammed the table.

"Do you know why they canceled it?!"

Lunaria flinched.

Roland turned to his secretary.

"Tell me. Who is Leon Ashford?"

The secretary swallowed.

"Leon Ashford comes from a middle-class family. Limited assets. His parents work multiple shifts just to afford his Pokémon slot."

Silence.

Lunaria frowned.

"So what?" she snapped. "Brother Leon is talented! He'll be a great trainer—he'll be a Champion one day!"

Everyone stared at her.

Disbelief.

Anger.

Pure disappointment.

"…A Champion?" one uncle muttered.

"With no backing?" another scoffed.

Roland laughed bitterly.

"A bum with no resources becoming Champion…"

He looked at his daughter like a stranger.

"You threw away a god for a beggar."

Lunaria froze.

For the first time—

Doubt crept into her heart.

Back in the Dungeon

Alex watched Beldum land a clean hit.

He smiled faintly.

"Leon Ashford…"

"You're already falling."

"And I haven't even started yet."
