Chapter 7 - Chapter 7: A Faction Without a Name

Chapter 7: A Faction Without a Name

The system loved labels.

Guilds. Rankings. Titles. Roles.

Anything that could be measured, compared, and controlled.

Kang Tae-Hyun stood in the center of an abandoned warehouse, arms crossed, eyes calm.

"I won't play by your rules," he said quietly.

A blue window flickered into existence.

[Faction Creation Available]

Requirements:

– Minimum Members: 3

– Core Authority: Leader

Behind him stood three people.

Oh Seung-Ho, nervously tapping his tablet.

Kim Hwan-Guk, standing like a wall, fists clenched.

And Yoon Seo-Ah, watching Tae-Hyun with steady eyes.

"You don't have to join," Tae-Hyun said without turning around.

"I won't promise safety. I won't promise glory."

Seung-Ho swallowed. "You're basically saying we'll be enemies of every guild."

"Yes."

Hwan-Guk grinned. "Sounds fun."

Seo-Ah stepped forward.

"I don't care about guilds," she said softly. "I care about who saves people."

Tae-Hyun nodded once.

"Then stay."

He reached out.

"Create faction."

System Error

The blue window froze.

Static filled the air.

[Error]

Faction type does not match system categories.

Another message followed, slower this time.

[Warning]

Leader classification: Unmeasurable

The system hesitated.

Then—

[Faction Registered]

Name: UNDEFINED

Type: Irregular Entity

Leader: Kang Tae-Hyun

A second window appeared.

[Hidden Effect Activated]

Members are immune to forced guild control

Members gain resistance to betrayal-based debuffs

Seung-Ho stared.

"…It doesn't even have a name."

Tae-Hyun turned.

"It doesn't need one."

The Hero Arrives

Applause echoed slowly through the warehouse.

Clap. Clap. Clap.

"Impressive."

A familiar voice.

From the entrance stepped Lee Min-Seok, dressed in clean combat gear, smile perfect as ever. Several Radiant Dawn elites stood behind him.

"Creating an unnamed faction?" Lee Min-Seok said.

"You really like standing out, Tae-Hyun."

Kang Tae-Hyun met his gaze.

"So do you," he replied. "Just in front of cameras."

The air turned tense.

Lee Min-Seok's smile tightened.

"You could've been one of us," he said. "Why choose isolation?"

Tae-Hyun took one step forward.

"Because guilds turn people into tools."

Lee Min-Seok laughed lightly. "That's naïve."

"Is it?" Tae-Hyun asked calmly. "Then answer me this."

He looked directly into Lee Min-Seok's eyes.

"When the world ends again… who do you save first?"

Silence.

Lee Min-Seok didn't answer.

That was enough.

"I already know," Tae-Hyun said.

The pressure in the room spiked.

Radiant Dawn members staggered back, struggling to breathe.

Lee Min-Seok's eyes widened—just for a moment.

"So that's your strength," he muttered. "You really are dangerous."

Tae-Hyun turned away.

"Leave," he said. "This is your only warning."

Lee Min-Seok stared at his back, jaw clenched.

"This isn't over," he said coldly.

"I know," Tae-Hyun replied.

"That's why I'm letting you walk away."

After the Storm

When they were gone, Seo-Ah exhaled.

"…You scared them."

Tae-Hyun shook his head.

"No," he said. "I reminded them."

A system message appeared.

[World Notice]

An irregular faction has been detected

Threat level: Unknown

High above, unseen observers shifted uneasily.

For the first time—

The system didn't know how the story would end.

Kang Tae-Hyun looked at his small group.

"Get ready," he said.

"The world will come for us next."
