Chapter 7 - Damian possessiveness

Damian's eyes widened in surprise. Wow, I see someone is already enjoying their Luna title.

Please, don't start, Damian.

Damian's voice was low, husky. I'm not starting anything, Sofia. I'm just impressed."

The moon goddess made it so, centuries ago, because alphas used the Gammas to hurt the Luna's. Now, Gammas only take final orders from their Luna's. And, well, Luna's orders can overrule the Alpha's when it comes to the gammas.

I raised an eyebrow, "Mm, but I didn't command you, I just told you to stay and wait.

Damian chuckled, his eyes glinning with amusement. Yeah, you didn't intentionally command him, but I've accepted you as my mate and future Luna, making your Luna powers start to come in.

Giving Josh a sweet smile, I said, "You're free to go, but I don't want to see you for the rest of the day.

Josh nodded, relief washing over his face, and quickly exited the room.

Damian's eyes followed him, then snapped back to mine. Why did you do that? Josh is your protector and needs to stay by your side.

I shrugged. I don't need a protector. I need you to leave me alone.

Damian's jaw clenched, but I didn't back down. We walked towards my father's office, the tension between us palpable. I was nervous, scared of what my father might say or do, especially after Damian locked up Vanessa in the dungeon.

As we approached the office, Damian held my hand, his touch sending shivers down my spine. "It's fine, I'm here with you. He can't do anything to you.

I shot him a warning look. "Damian, you're not supposed to be here.

He smirked, his eyes glinning with amusement. "Oh, yes, I'm going to be here. With me locking up Vanessa and all that, I'm not comfortable leaving you alone with your dad.

I rolled my eyes, feeling a flutter in my chest. "So, you know that, and you still went ahead and locked up Vanessa? I don't even want to imagine what my mom is going to do to me.

Damian's expression softened, his eyes filled with concern. "Sofia, I'll protect you, no matter what."

I breathed in, trying to calm my nerves, and knocked on the office door. My father's voice sounded calm and cold, "Come in."

We entered, and I felt a lump in my throat. My father's expression was unreadable as he looked up from the papers on his desk. "What do you want, Sofia? And why is the future Alpha in my office with you?"

Damian's voice was smooth, "Good afternoon, Uncle Luke. I'm just here to accompany my mate to talk to you. Nothing much."

My father's eyes narrowed, but he nodded. "Fine, Sofia. What do you want? Tell me, I have a lot of work to do."

I took a deep breath, I don't know if you've noticed, but I'm eighteen now, and I want to move into Grandma's house. You said that when I turn eighteen, I'll move into her house, and now I'm eighteen. I'm here to ask and tell you that I need to move into Grandma's house today and have access to everything she left me.

My father's expression didn't change, but he nodded. "Fine, Sofia. I'll make arrangements for you to move into your grandmother's house today. You'll have access to everything she left you, including the bank card and everything.

Damian and I exchanged stunned glances. "Just like that?" I asked, feeling a mix of relief and surprise? you not going to scold me?

My father's eyes locked onto mine. "No, Sofia. I'm not going to scold you. It's your birthright and your inheritance. I'm not going to stop you from getting it. But your mom... she's not going to make it easy for you.

Damian's voice was low, husky. "That's fine, Uncle Luke. I can protect my mate from anybody, including her mother.

I smiled, feeling a rush of gratitude. "Thank you, Dad."

My father nodded, his expression softening slightly. You can leave now. I have a lot to do.

We left the office, and I breathed a sigh of relief.

I don't really think you should move into your grandmother's house today," he said, his voice low and" You're not fully recovered, and you still need your strength. I need you to be close to me so my wolf and I can help you heal better and so I can protect you from anyone who wants to harm you because of being my mate.

My eyes flashed with defiance, my relief replaced by irritation. "I don't need your protection, Damian. And you don't get to tell me what to do or where to go. I'm moving into my grandmother's house, and that's final. I don't need your opinion."

Damian's jaw clenched, his eyes burning with possessiveness. "Sofia, be reasonable-"

But I cut him off, my voice rising. "No, Damian. Let's go back to you not caring about me, yeah. You didn't care about me when Vanessa was treating me like trash, and now you think you can just swoop in and control my life? No."

Damian's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with hurt and anger. That's not fair, Sofia. I'm trying to make everything right and I'm trying to protect you.

My smile was bitter. "Protect me? You call locking up Vanessa protection? You call controlling my every move protection? I don't think so, Damian.

The tension between them was palpable, the air thick with unspoken emotions. Damian's eyes locked onto my eyes, the connection between us crackling with intensity.

Damian's expression darkened, his eyes flashing with possessiveness. you will not talk to me like that. I'm trying for crying out loud Sofia can't you see it?

I rolled my eyes . "Yeah, yeah. You just want to control me, Alpha.

Damian's voice dropped to a whisper, sending shivers down my spine. "I want to do a lot more than control you, Sofia.
