He will start to train his dragonoid skills and his grandpa handled it hands on. They were in a clearing that was good enough to have a simple training or anything related to combat.
They might as well as spar if they wanted to.
Reginold then began teaching Ren, Parthenax on the side was watching them.
"You can't use the dragonoid skills without an element summoning first. You have all the elements and so you have no problem in regards to that, but the problem was, what to choose to master first." Reginold then said, "Choose to summon one element first in your bare hands."
Ren then summoned fire on his hands. It felt natural like breathing. And so, he switched from element to element. Then he felt something was amiss, changing elements has delays and has great difficulty .... From Fire to Water, Earth to Wind, and Lightning.
His grandfather was astonished by his capability and so instructed him. "Practice element switching first for now. Before I will teach you the skills."
"Yes grandpa!" Ren replied.
With that, Reginold then realised that his potential was the greatest. Although yet weak, he was blessed with the Dragon Prince. His theory then was realised. And whether it was working or not, was on Ren's hands to be tested.
He practiced element switching first before he would execute skills. And for many days, he diligently practiced without rest.
As elements were first needed before you can cast a spell or skill of the dragons.....
After 7 days, he met up with his grandpa again then began summoning the elements on his hands.
"Good! You are faster now. That is enough... Now let me teach you the good part.
"I will demonstrate first then try to replicate it as much as you can. You have dragon essence so it will be easier for you." Reginold immediately went to the clear space to began his demonstration.
He then used the dragon skills afterwards.... It has 85 percent execution rate in all skills and Ren was impressed.
It was then Ren's turn and so, he went to the clearing to began. As a test, he used fire element first then used the skills....
He used the dragon Breath and it was a breath of fire that was weak and did not last long. And so he thought that he could use the Dragonoid form to test whether there were changes...
He first used his dragonoid form this time and then used the other skills for a more greater Firepower and effects...
He then used the skills and one by one deliberately saw the difference.....
Dragon Breath, has 80 percent execution rate....
Dragon Aura, has 83 percent execution rate...
Dragon Roar, has 85 percent execution rate....
Piercing breath, has 85 percent execution rate...
Dragon Might, has 84 percent execution rate...
Dragonoid Form, has 89 percent execution rate...
Shapeshift Dragon, has 80 percent execution rate...
Dragon Breaths has greater damage and heat....than his human form, same with dragon Aura and Roar. Especially Piercing breath. As well as the other skills.
But what if he used his Dragon form? The answer was evident. It will be far greater in it's effects. Like two to four times greater than his dragonoid form.
Handling the skill execution was 80 percent up which was passable. His grandpa was impressed...
"Focus on Element switching first for your foundations...as you are slow to switch." He said then tried to test him.
'If Ren could master this..... Then his dragonoid form could master all elements and has combat versatility.'
'He could freely adjust to the situation and use the dragon type he needed the most in the battlefield. If he needed to damage then there were 3 dragon types that he could use. If he needed defense then there's Earth Dragon. If he needed Evasive manoeuvres then he could use Lightning or Wind Dragon elements.'
"Ren, try Dragonoid form for now." Reginold instructed then Ren followed.
He gained red scales and red leathery wings mimicking a Fire Dragon characteristics.
"Good! Now change element mid way." He instructed then he smirked. Ren followed and then used Earth Element. Making him change his colour to brown scales and brown scaly wings.
"This, so my theory is true! It was a success!" Reginold was impressed.
"Try practicing element switching in your Dragonoid form for now. I can't wait to test it in a spar." His grandfather said then turned around.
He left the training grounds and shapeshifted to his dragonoid form. Flapping his wings then flew away towards their home.
Ren then followed his instructions and then every morning, he went to practice element switching.
His progress was slow and it felt painful to change midway. He could feel that his body was being ripped like a forced evolution has happened. His muscles pulsated and was ripped apart and reconstructed rapidly.
The pain was bearable though for Ren but his speed in changing was still not improving. He felt that his struggles was not enough.
Then he realised, he needed to regulate his dragon essence to rapidly help in his shift of element.
He tried to test his theory and then it was indeed so. It was faster and the pain subsided. He could feel that his dragon essence this time was greater than before.
"So it is growing huh," he realised.
Several days of learning dragon essence regulation and elements switching, it was now 3 times faster than before. Making him change his dragonoid form once in a second then change to another after another second.
Now, he should test it on a battle with his greatest suitable teacher which was his grandpa.
His grandfather then saw his progress and then was happy. He approached him and then greeted.
"Morning grandson, I have seen you could change faster now. I am greatly happy. Now, let us test it up in an actual battle. Prepare to have a small spar." He smiled.
Ren also smirked. He was awaiting that this day would happen. Making him to grit his teeth in sheer excitement.
