Hearing what Ajay said all stopped their bickering and looked towards him.
Seeing everyone is focusing on him nodded in satisfaction "Good now all of you divide into groups so that we can cover more places," said Ajay.
Listening to Ajay, none of them complained. And Ajay decided the groups as.
In group Ajay, there are Oconnell, Jonathan, and Ardeth Bay. After the people were divided into three groups, they walked into the depths of Hamunaptra. During the walk, Ardeth Bay turned towards Ajay and asked
"You seem to know us" as he felt Ajay about them all along.
"Yeah, I know a lot about you people. From ancient times your group has protected this land from evil" Ajay responded, as he said what he saw in the movie.
Hearing this, Ardeth nodded and thought about something, asked another question.
"How did you hear about us?" asked Ardeth, as there are not many people who know about them.
"It is a secret," said Ajay. I cannot say I saw that in the movie can I?
Hearing this, both Oconnell and Jonathan's lips twitched. And wanted to shout simultaneously 'common, you want to keep the secret even now?'
And Ardeth did not push about it any further and asked "So, you know what are the dangers located in here?"
"Yes, I know the dangers here. The high priest Imhotep and his lover Anck-su-namun are buried here for their sins." Remembering from the movie he continued.
"But I did not expect him to be revived, now he also wants to revive his lover and for that he needed some sacrifice. So he might have found them to be needs a sacrifice so he kidnapped Eve and Sofia" said Ajay.
Ajay didn't expect this kind of deviation from the plot and that small deviation caused all this.
Ardeth nodded understanding the situation then thought about something and asked Ajay "if he wanted a sacrifice, he can kidnap one person, why did he have to kidnap both of them?" because no matter how you think about it, he felt the situation very strange.
Because according to the histories he knew from his ancestors there is no need for sacrificing multiple people for reviving one person.
Hearing this question, both turned towards Ajay as if he knows something, but they did not expect this type of answer from Ajay.
Seeing them looking towards him he did not know what to say "I don't know about that" said Ajay because he really did not know about that.
So he decided to ask about this to his system later and focused on his current problem.
Hearing this, Oconnell didn't blame Ajay for not knowing about this and said seriously " then you mean he will kill both Eve and Sofia?" and for some reason he didn't feel good about that, when he heard Sofia is in danger.
"Ajay tell the truth will he really kill Eve and Sofia?" asked Jonathan anxiously feeling that both of his sister and cousin were in danger.
"Yes, if we don't hurry then even if we reach there, it will be too late" said Ajay, feeling anxious because the plot has changed so much without him knowing, and now he cannot say anything about the safety of Eve and Sofia while Ajay was thinking about Eve's safety.
Hearing his answer, all decided to quicken up their speed and began running to the location.
While the group was on their way somewhere inside the ritual room and saw the unconscious Sofia lying on the ground beside her and what she saw ahead terrified her.
"Y-y-you what have you done to them?" Eve asked terrified, seeing the mummified corpses of the American group, and at that moment Imhotep recovered his complete human appearance and also his powers.
"You don't need to know, now give me the key to this book" said Imhotep holding a black book of death looking towards Eve.
"I don't have any key " Eve turned ready to run but Imhotep came in front of her and lifted her by holding her neck eve tried to struggle.
While struggling to escape, the key fell from her pocket. Seeing this, Imhotep let go of her neck and picked the key from the ground.
Eve catching for her breath quickly stood up and went towards Sofia trying to wake her up.
"Sofia, get up. Quickly get up Sofia." Eve shook Sofia very hardly.
And due to the continuous shaking Sofia got up and shook her head and put her hand on her head as if trying to clarify her mind a bit.
"Ugh, stop shaking me Eve, my head is spinning" said Sofia and then looked around and seeing where she was, quickly asked Eve.
"Eve, where the heck are we?" asked Sofia looking at Eve.
"I don-" before Eve answered that she didn't know, Imhotep answered her question.
"You both are at the place of sacrificial ceremony, and here you will be used as a sacrifice for my love." Said Imhotep pointing at another mummified body on a table. And after saying that he walked away from there.
Imhotep came to the ritual table where there was the mummified corpse of his lover and five bottles with various animal shapes.
These bottles contain her funeral dust. He opened the black book of death and began to read and tied Eve to another table beside the mummified corpse. She began to shout to leave her.
Sofia seeing this, wanting to save Eve looked at Imhotep and thought about interrupting him. And before she took even a step Imhotep tied her to the ground restraining her movements with his magic.
When he was about to start the ritual, he felt that someone approaching the ritual site. And as he doesn't want anyone to disturb the ritual.
He started to chant the mantra from the book and waved the wand in the air. As he chanted, the mummies on the wall began to stir and slowly come alive, their eyes glowing with a strange light.
Seeing this both Sofia and Evelyn were surprised that as seeing and hearing about magic is two different things, where they did not believe in magic even a bit.
He continued to chant, and the mummies slowly moved towards Imhotep. Looking at the mummies, he said
"Get out of here and stop the invaders, particularly the man with red eyes and blue pupils and no matter what absolutely do not let him come here." said Imhotep remembering Ajay's strength. He may not be able to face him even at full strength.
Then thinking about this carefully, he looked at the mummies of those Americans, and chatted same mantra reviving them and thought 'although the strengths is very lower than those armed mummies at the very least, they will buy us more time' and then gave the same orders.
The mummies followed Imhotep's orders and began to walk towards the Ajay's group slowly marching.
While at the same time Ajay's group were continuing their search
"Ajay where are we, and why is it dark here?" asked Oconnell
Ajay did not say anything and observed the surroundings with fire in his hands and saw a mirror at the top of the ceiling. He remembered about something from the movie and shot the bullet and hit the mirror.
The mirror turned and connected with other mirrors and lit up the whole room one by one. The whole room was ancient Egypt gold statues and various jewels and treasures seeing this Ajay said
"let's go our destination is that way" pointing towards the other side where there is the entrance which was decorated with designs at the top of the door.
"Wow, treasures and so many of them, can we take it after we return?" asked Jonathan
Oconnell said seriously, "First comes Sofia and Eve's rescue." he wanted to say Sofia, but thought it would be rude and he added Eve.
"See that Jonathan, her husband is better than her brother let's go" said Ajay quickly dragging Jonathan away to save Eve.
They came to the other side of the tressure room. And on the narrow side of corridor, several mummies began to appear when they saw Ajay and all of them ran toward him like he is their lifelong enemy.
What surprised them even more was along side armed mummies there were Americans who were turned into mummies.
Seeing this Ajay became furious and thought, this must be that bastard Imhotep doing of stopping him from approaching the sacrificial place.
And thought 'you don't have to send this many mummies, there are more mummies here than shown in movie. Looks like he is very careful that he went as far to even revive those Americans mummies.'
"I know I am handsome but I don't like mummies, and now get out of the way" said Ajay and moved at inhuman speed and punched them with his full strength and the mummies flew out and crashed into the nearby wall.
The armed mummies crashed towards the walls struggled slowly to get up and where as some of the American mummies were plastered to the walls where no movement was seen and some got up and started moving towards Ajay.
Seeing this all of them were shocked. Oconnell and Jonathan knew Ajay was strong, but this was on a whole different level they could not help but ask
"Ajay how strong are you?" asked Oconnell looking towards Ajay.
Jonathan nodded wanting to know the answer for the same question.
"Yes, what are you?" asked Ardeth bay as the strength that Ajay showed is not something that humans possess.
"I am 10 times stronger than an average person," Ajay lied calmly as if not wanting to break their fighting sprits.
Hearing this Ardeth bay, Oconnell and Jonathan were shocked. And Oconnell could not help but ask
"So, since you are so strong, why you could not kill that mummy?" said Oconnel thinking about it strangely, 'I mean Ajay is strong right?'
"Brute strength cannot kill magic, see those mummies are coming back." Ajay pointed at the scattered mummies that were previously scattered.
Seeing the mummies and the American mummies which were planted on the walls "then why aren't those American mummies coming back?" asked Jonathan pointing at American mummies planted on the wall.
Hearing this, both Oconnell and Ardeth Bay wanted to know the answer for that too.
Thinking about it as if explaining to a student "it's because the body and bone strength of the people from thousand years are far greater than the present people. And that same logic applied to the mummies in front of us." Said Ajay.
Hearing this everyone understood, and face palmed themselves that how could they forget about this simple thing.
"Now, you guys should go and deal with that mummy I will take care of these guys" said Ajay
"Alright you be careful and come quickly I don't think we can handle that mummy that long." Said Oconnell.
Hearing this, Ajay Just simply gave a thumbs up. Saing understood.
After following Ajay's instructions, the group entered the ritual hall and saw Eve was about to be stabbed. At that moment Oconnell shot the Imhotep on back with his gun, feeling the pain Imhotep turned around and left the knife on the table. He came towards Oconnell who is on steps above the pond.
"Jonathan, you go free eve and Sofia, then we deal with -----" Oconnell stopped seeing Imhotep in front of him.
And Imhotep punched Oconnell in his stomach and while Oconnell feeling the pain he held Imhotep's hand.
"Go now!" said Oconnell with a painful face. And Ardeth Bay appeared in front of Imhotep with his sword.
When Ardeth Bay tried to cut his head, Imhotep dodged and kicked Ardeth Bay in the stomach, and throwing Oconnell to the ground.
Seeing this, Jonathan terrified quickly ran towards Eve ritual table with a golden book in his hands which was given by Ajay.
Seeing her brother coming
"Brother, hurry remove this restraint hurry up that mummy is moving" said Eve anxiously at the same time seeing that the mummified corpse beside her began to move.
Jonathan hurriedly removed Eve's restraints and got up from the table and quickly cut off the ropes which were tied to Sofia and quickly carried her. Meanwhile, the mummified took the sword from the table and began to move toward them.
