"That took long enough," Grey said, his voice flat, casual, as if he hadn't been pacing the room for hours, worrying himself into exhaustion.
"My apologies, Alpha Grey," Ethan said, his tone weary, every movement carrying the weight of fatigue. "It was difficult, and I needed to make sure I found someone who could actually help."
Without needing Ethan to say it outright, Grey could already tell he had found the witch, and not just any witch, but a powerful one, someone who might actually be able to erase the mark.
He didn't know how to feel.. relieved, grateful, or something more tangled and confusing. Part of him had almost changed his mind about erasing it.
