"You really do know about Him."
Uxie's eyes stayed calm as it looked at Damian.
This human was very different.
He carried the blessing of nature. More importantly, Uxie could sense many different auras on Damian's body.
Giratina?
Cynthia and Caitlin both thought about the name, but neither of them had heard it before.
Damian truly was very unusual.
Cynthia's eyes glanced at Damian. Of course he was unusual. Uxie's attitude toward him was clearly different. It had even said so many vague things specifically to him.
"Yeah, so what? Giratina's targets will only be Arceus and Dialga and Palkia. That has nothing to do with me," Damian replied casually. He felt Uxie was overthinking things.
There was no doubt that Uxie was warning him that Giratina might appear soon, but why should Damian care?
Giratina's desire to rebel against Arceus was something already made clear in the plot.
And Giratina's existence in the Pokémon world was indeed extremely mysterious, because Arceus had sent it to the Distortion World from the very beginning.
Information about Giratina's existence was actually only recorded in the inscriptions of the Plates.
Several Plate inscriptions hinted at the violent third dragon, the world on the other side, and the strange power connected to it.
The so-called "clones of Arceus" was another way of referring to Dialga, Palkia, and Giratina.
That was because Arceus originally created the three gods for the "matter" of the world.
But in reality, only Dialga, Palkia, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf were used to shape the original world. "Spirit" connected "matter," and the world took form.
As for Giratina, which represented "antimatter," Arceus gave it the other side of the world.
That was the Distortion World, a broken world where there was no distinction between heaven and earth. In the Distortion World, time did not flow normally, and space was unstable.
Giratina had remained there ever since, quietly watching the original world.
And perhaps it was because of that unfair treatment that Giratina wanted to rebel.
Pokémon Legends: Arceus had already made this very clear. As the Renegade Pokémon, the one Giratina wanted to oppose was Arceus.
So, after Akari was sent to the Hisui era by Arceus, Giratina also made its move.
It chose Volo. It worked with him. Using Giratina's power, they drove Dialga and Palkia into a frenzy. They used the force of that chaos to open a space-time rift, trying to reach the place where Arceus existed.
Volo wanted to see Arceus, and Giratina wanted to challenge Arceus. In that sense, the two of them were a perfect match.
Of course, after their plan was exposed, they did not even get to see Arceus. Volo and Giratina could not even get past Akari.
There was no helping it. Akari was simply too strong.
But from that plot, one thing was obvious. Giratina's desire to rebel against Arceus was very intense.
In fact, because of that, once Arceus chose Akari, Giratina immediately sensed an opportunity and chose Volo as its agent in the human world.
And Volo was indeed excellent. He could be said to be the strongest person in Hisui, second only to Akari.
Speaking of which...
Damian fell into thought. Am I not stronger than Volo? Why didn't Giratina choose me?
Is it because the Arceus of this world has not chosen a human yet, so Giratina has not thought about it?
If Giratina chose him, Damian would actually be very happy. After all, Giratina's strength was truly top-tier. It was definitely one of the absolute strongest Legendary Pokémon.
After all, this thing could beat up Dialga and Palkia. It even dared to challenge Arceus.
Just based on that courage alone, Damian admired Giratina. But it was only courage. In front of Arceus, Giratina was still no more than a toy. It had no real power to rebel.
Thinking of this, Damian looked at Cynthia with a strange expression.
"What's wrong?" Cynthia, who had been thinking about what kind of Pokémon Giratina was, quickly noticed Damian's gaze. She tilted her head in confusion.
"Cynthia, do you have an ancestor named Volo?"
"...I've never noticed. I'll check the family records when I have time. Why are you suddenly asking that?" Cynthia was very puzzled.
"It's nothing. I just thought of it," Damian shook his head.
That's right. In fact, Volo from Pokémon Legends: Arceus was very likely Cynthia's ancestor.
The reason was simple: Volo and Cynthia looked extremely similar. On top of that, Volo's team overlapped heavily with Cynthia's. Aside from Hisuian Arcanine, the other five were all Pokémon Cynthia commonly used.
Add in the nearly identical appearance, and the implication was obvious.
And when you think about how Cynthia loves knowledge, myths, and exploring ruins, and how her family seems the same, doesn't that fit Volo perfectly?
Cynthia: "..."
"Human, if Giratina drives Dialga and Palkia into a frenzy, it will also endanger you," Uxie said after the two had finished talking, its telepathy still cool and steady.
"Sorry, you've got the wrong person."
Damian sneered. Was Uxie trying to guilt-trip him?
He had no problem helping, but they could not just offer him empty words. There had to be some benefit, right? Who asks for help like that?
Damian felt Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf were really a letdown. Even if they were not strong in battle, they had lived for so long. Did they really not understand how the world worked?
And to think they were the Pokémon representing "spirit." Even Regigigas was better at this than they were.
"So..."
Uxie folded its hands together and made a posture of prayer toward Damian. Beside it, Mesprit and Azelf did the same.
"O human with a full heart, may you live free of sorrow. May the Great One protect you, so you will not be trapped by your feelings, and may joy remain with you."
As the prayer began, a faint red light lit up around Mesprit. Its telepathic voice rang out, causing the words Damian was about to say to get stuck in his throat.
"O human of unwavering will, may your resolve remain firm. May the Great One protect you, so you will never falter, and courage will always stay by your side."
Azelf's telepathy was different from Uxie's. Its voice was clear and decisive, full of confidence.
"O human of great wisdom, may your mind always stay bright. May the Great One protect you, so you will not become impatient, and wisdom will always light your path."
Uxie's calm telepathy finished the prayer.
After the prayer ended, the light around Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf slowly faded. Three pairs of eyes looked at Damian.
Damian fell into deep thought.
The room stayed quiet for a moment.
"Giratina's personality is violent and unstable! A Pokémon like that should not appear in this world!" Damian's tone suddenly turned solemn.
"You three really know how to judge people!"
"I, Damian, as a person with the richest emotions, the strongest will, and the greatest wisdom in this world, naturally cannot stand by and watch this happen!"
Damian's voice was very loud.
He immediately took back what he had said earlier about Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf being disappointing and stingy. How were they disappointing?
Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf had given "spirit" to humankind. They were generous, selfless, and incredible! The people of Team Galactic really deserved to die!
To actually capture such adorable Pokémon, imprison them, and drain their power, was Team Galactic even human? He spat on them!
Even Team Rocket would not do something like this!
Well, Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf had really prayed for him. To have three of the ancient Legendary Pokémon personally offer him a blessing, even Damian found that treatment a bit overwhelming.
It felt amazing!!
Cynthia: "..."
Cynthia found it a bit hard to keep a straight face. So Damian likes this kind of thing?
Caitlin: (°—°)
"Then we shall have to trouble you, human."
Hearing that, Uxie's usually cool voice sounded much more relaxed.
"You really are a great human, Damian~" Azelf's telepathy sounded very happy.
"Your love life will surely go as smoothly as you wish."
Mesprit blinked and giggled at Damian. As the Pokémon representing "Emotion," Mesprit felt it had plenty of authority on that subject.
"Thank you. But I have one more small request. Uxie, can you help me?"
Damian smiled brightly. Being showered with that kind of praise by Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf truly felt good.
It felt far too good.
Even though those three were not strong in battle, their status was special, and they truly knew how to speak.
"If we can help," Uxie nodded, its two tails swaying lightly. Although its tone was still calm, it was clearly in a good mood.
"When this is all over, can you do that one more time?"
"?"
Uxie, the one representing "Wisdom," tilted its head. It clearly did not understand what Damian meant.
What was he talking about?
"I mean the prayer you just did. Can you do it for me one more time?" Damian smiled innocently.
"We can, but why?" Uxie was very puzzled. Even with all its wisdom, it could not guess Damian's thinking.
"That's great. A moment like that is too rare. I was thinking of filming it next time. When my children see it in the future, they will definitely be proud of me."
Damian's tone was so sincere. He could not help it. He loved that blessing from Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf too much.
It was the kind of thing that was absolutely worth watching again and again!
Uxie, Mesprit, and Azelf: "..."
Spear Pillar, Mt. Coronet.
This was the site of an ancient ruin and temple. However, the temple had long since been destroyed and turned into rubble. The standing stone pillars looked like the tip of a spear.
Charon had already arrived here with a few Team Galactic members.
"Heh heh heh Hahahaha"
Looking at everything around him, Charon finally could not stop himself. He raised both arms and laughed wildly.
It was coming! His era was about to begin!
As long as he summoned Dialga and Palkia here, he would become the god of this world!!
