Chapter 17 - Chapter 16: Investigator: A blond, center parted hair young man, Leon Kennedy

"Very good." Hearing the student's loud response, Krauser suppressed his deliberately displayed anger and ordered, "Leon, return to the team."

"Yes, sir."

With the blonde cadet returning to the ranks, all the cadets lined up neatly, awaiting further. instructions.

Krauser, on the other hand, turned around and walked out of the training hall.

"Everyone, follow along."

"Yes, sir!"

Leaving the training hall through the main gate, which was glowing from the midday sun, the trainees couldn't help but close their eyes slightly to adjust to the brightness of the outside world before continuing on with Krauser.

They remained silent the entire way.

Although the trainees are not part of Atlas's regular forces, they are still required to strictly follow orders and remain silent until their superiors issue commands.

Given the founder Sui Yang's military experience before his transmigration, discipline and obedience are the two things that Atlas military units value most. Secondly, it is understanding why they are fighting.

Within Atlas today, aside from the initial motivation to provide a better life for their families, there is an indescribable drive, especially among the employees and soldiers who have the authority to know that their boss is an immortal and that the dimensional gate exists.

Even though Sui Yang never officially proclaimed anything, at most issuing some simple and clear announcements within the company, they still couldn't help but feel that what they were doing was right and that they were fighting for the future.

In addition, after the portal opened, Sui Yang often used words such as alien and scum in company announcements and meetings. Over time, Atlas's employees and soldiers were also affected, and the idea of fighting for humanity gradually became clear in their subconscious.

Moreover, the vast majority of employees and soldiers have passed the company's screening process.

For example, one can judge whether someone has a strong sense of responsibility and the willingness to sacrifice themselves for their comrades by their attitude towards relatives and friends, their past spending habits, and their work and military service records.

A small minority of people, not only to repay their boss for the help and support they received in their lives, also harbored intense hatred and hostility towards the Vought Corporation and superhumans.

This is precisely why Atlas maintains a harmonious internal environment and fosters a proactive atmosphere for achieving its goals.

However, as a former U.S. Army officer, Lieutenant Jack Krause initially did not understand why the company specifically recruited Leon by name and arranged for him to receive training.

After Krauss and his men were sold to Atlas by their superiors on June 5, 1993, he served as the chief instructor of investigators at Atlas until July 12, 1994, which is today.

After spending more than a year in his new unit, Krauser actually enjoyed his new job, where he didn't have to worry about being implicated in the backstabbing and political struggles of his superiors in the U.S. military.

Furthermore, the investigator's primary responsibility, as he had previously reprimanded him, was to assist Atlas in infiltrating and penetrating unknown areas to conduct investigations and obtain detailed information and intelligence.

For example, the investigators sent by Sui Yang to London and Belgium on Earth Zero One brought back Earth Zero One's past to the company.

Those investigators later used their individual abilities to successfully infiltrate the United Defense Force (UDF) and the arsenal, acquiring numerous technologies and physical assets for the company, making them similar in nature to spies and agents.

Therefore, the individual capabilities of investigators need to be guaranteed, at least to the standard of the ARS First Company.

Krauser belongs to the U.S. Army Special Forces and has extensive combat experience. He is skilled in independent intelligence gathering, counterterrorism, infiltration, assassination, and training, so the instructor is definitely a perfect fit for him and his subordinates.

In the past, Atlas would select soldiers with the potential to be competent in investigation work from all ARS companies, or orphans who were personally trained and raised by Sui Yang to adulthood to serve as investigators.

Now that Krauser and his team have joined, the recruitment, training, and assignment of internships for investigators have truly gotten on track.

Krausa was puzzled by the company's sudden decision to allow a student who had just turned nineteen and had not yet graduated from the police academy to join a six-month training program.

While reviewing the files, Krauser discovered that Leon seemed to have no pressure in his life and his attitude towards superhumans was fairly normal. There seemed to be no reason for him to be recruited, especially since he was just a kid.

However, as the training progressed, Krauser discovered that Leon did indeed have good potential, comprehension and adaptability, as well as considerable luck.

When thrown into the depths of the rainforest or the heart of the desert for wilderness survival training, Leon stumbled upon water, food, and escaped danger far more often than his fellow trainees.

Leon has a strong morale code to the the point of almost idealistic and will never abandon his teammates.

Although the students who teamed up with Leon were either eliminated or had points deducted, Krauser impression of Leon had turned positive in any case.

Leon, however, often unconsciously makes some flashy, cool looking attack moves, which annoys Krauser. Like useless back flips, seriously Krauser often saw Leon dodging attacks that should be easily avoidable by moving to the side but Leon would rather do a back flip and somehow even dodge it

What even this instructor wouldn't know was that Leon was assigned to investigator training simply because his full name was-

Leon Scott Kennedy.

To the people of the main universe, it's just an ordinary name, but to Sui Yang, it's an S-class agent. That guy could survive many outbreaks from resident evil 2, 4, degeneration, infinite darkness, damnation, vendetta, death island and even requiem, though in requiem trailer Leon was not finally doing useless back flips but Sui Yang cannot be sure as he died before playing it.

With his blond hair center parted, height of around 1.8 meters, handsome appearance, bizarre luck, and ability to crush his teammates, Leon, like Krauser, is a character from Resident Evil.

However, unlike the original Leon, the Leon in the main universe does not have a buttock or chin, and his appearance is closer to the original.

Raccoon City, the setting of Resident Evil, is located in Colorado, a city in the American Midwest.

Although Raccoon City doesn't exist in the main universe, Atlas's influence in the American Midwest made it easy to investigate all the Kennedy families living near Colorado, and subsequently, they discovered Leon's whereabouts.

Atlas send an experienced HR to approach Leon, who is still studying at police academy.

They then used rhetoric such as 'Darkness exists in this world' and 'We need young people like you to save the world' to successfully lure the young man to Kenya.

Leon meanwhile....

He didn't consider anything else all he thought about was upholding justice and being curious about where his superiors would take them now.

The scorching heat and blazing sun quickly left Leon and his fellow trainees drenched in sweat as they walked through the base streets, though they were already accustomed to the African climate.

A short while later, Krauser led everyone into the room.

To be precise, it was a spacious conference hall with ascending rows of seating that could accommodate up to 300 people, with several equipment crates marked by a red "A" logo placed around the room.

"Recruits, next I will introduce the standard equipment for investigators at this stage."
