Yes, that's my name.
Being the only daughter of the duke is exhausting...especially as an only child.
But despite the responsibilities, I had a happy childhood.
Ever since I was little, I've known His Highness the Prince.
Our families were close, so we visited the palace often.
We became so called-childhood friends.
Whenever I got hurt or fell, he was always there to help me.
That's when I started to feel something for him.
His caring nature, his reassuring smile… and yes, his physique.
When my father announced our engagement, I was overjoyed.
But His Highness wasn't.
I don't know why, but he was furious.
He argued with both the king and my father about it.
Even though it seemed he accepted it, he only showed his anger in silence.
Then today, he didn't come with me to the academy.
I thought he didn't love me anymore.
I didn't understand why.
But today… he was different.
I saw him wearing the engagement ring.
He still avoided me, but I started to realize—maybe the problem wasn't me.
Maybe it was something else.
I wanted to hug him when I saw the ring.
But I couldn't.
There was a maid nearby.
I really love His Highness. I hope one day he realizes that.
"…Now, where was the dining hall?" I asked, snapping out of my thoughts.
Then I turned and walked.
