Chapter 4 - ROLE IN RAMAYAM WITH DEVOTION

Hanuman plays a central and inspiring role in the Ramayana as the greatest devotee of Lord Rama and a symbol of devotion, strength, wisdom, and selfless service.

Hanuman first appears as a minister of Sugriva, the vanara king. He meets Lord Rama and Lakshmana during their search for Sita and immediately recognizes Rama's divinity. From that moment, Hanuman dedicates his life to serving Rama with complete faith and humility.

One of Hanuman's most important roles is in the search for Sita. He bravely leaps across the ocean to Lanka, overcomes many obstacles, and finds Sita in Ashoka Vatika. He gives her Rama's ring as proof of Rama's love and assures her of rescue, giving her hope and courage. His journey shows his intelligence, courage, and unwavering devotion.

Hanuman also plays a key role in the war against Ravana. He burns parts of Lanka to weaken the enemy and later helps Rama's army by fighting powerful demons. When Lakshmana is severely wounded, Hanuman lifts the entire Sanjeevani mountain to save him, showing his strength and presence of mind.

Throughout the Ramayana, Hanuman represents bhakti (devotion), seva (service), and dharma (righteousness). He never acts for personal glory and always places Rama above himself. His character teaches us loyalty, humility, courage, and faith.

Thus, Hanuman is not just a helper in the Ramayana but its spiritual heart, reminding us that true power lies in devotion and selfless service.
