Scarlett's POV
I actually thought everything was finally going back to normal, but I think it's only about to get worse. Earlier, I overheard Xavier and Mr. Cross talking, and from the sound of it, Xavier was dead serious about breaking into the prison because of Stiles. The thought alone sent fear coursing through my veins because a prison wasn't some ordinary building that could easily be infiltrated. It was heavily guarded, protected with every possible security measure, and even for a ruthless don like Xavier, breaking into a place like that without getting caught was almost impossible.
But Xavier had always been stubborn. Once he made up his mind, nothing and no one could change it. He did whatever he wanted without stopping to think about the consequences, and for goodness' sake, we'd already been through so much. Couldn't he just take a break for once?
