Chapter 12 - Chapter 12: Second-Stage Aura Burst, Transformation Rukia

Chapter 12: Second-Stage Aura Burst, Transformation Rukia

Hearing that voice, Grand Fisher didn't just fail to stay his steps—he ran even faster!

Soon, Fisher gave himself a mental thumbs-up for his wise decision. To better master the art of "advancing like the wind," Fisher had spent a great deal of time practicing the Hollow-exclusive high-speed movement skill, Sonído. It was this very skill that had allowed him to evade the Soul Reapers' pursuit for decades.

But now, the figure chasing him from behind wasn't losing any ground. That alone spoke volumes: he had encountered a tough customer. However, Fisher had met tough customers before and remained confident.

"Hmph... let the game of hide-and-seek begin."

Fisher suddenly swerved, charging toward a crowded area with complex streets. Once inside, his massive baboon-like body compressed and shifted, shrinking down as he began to use the crowd and terrain to hide.

Over the past few decades, the Soul Reapers sent to capture him weren't all trash; there had been elite seated officers and even Lieutenants. But against Fisher's tactics, they had all returned empty-handed.

Mo Yu, controlling Rukia in hot pursuit, couldn't help but admire the creature's cleverness.

Sonído, the Soul Reapers' Shunpo, and the Quincies' Hirenkyaku were all high-speed movement techniques, but their different origins led to distinct characteristics. The profession of Soul Reaper was born for combat, so Shunpo emphasized agility and variation. Quincies, originally hunters of Hollows who later had to flee from Soul Reaper purges, developed Hirenkyaku for lower energy consumption, faster straight-line speed, and long-range mobility.

Hollows' Sonído, born from the brutal cannibalistic ecosystem of Hueco Mundo, focused on stealth—evading and interfering with detection.

In Rukia's eyes, Fisher's Reiatsu vanished the moment he used Sonído. Through her spiritual sense, she vaguely felt he went left, but a moment later, a trace of his aura appeared on the right. By the time she gave chase, the scent was gone. The seemingly normal pedestrians she brushed past were actually Fisher's disguises.

Truly like a ghost. Rukia now understood why he had remained free for fifty years. It wasn't that the stationed Soul Reapers were useless; it was that Fisher was a specialist who had invested all his "skill points" into survival.

That said, Rukia felt a trace of pity for him. Fisher's hard-earned survival skills were useless today. The arrow cursor was locked onto him; no matter how he shifted or hid, it remained unshakable.

After a long chase, Fisher's face turned grim. His best tricks had failed. He realized he hadn't just met a tough customer, but a truly ruthless character. He stopped running and turned around.

The elegant Rukia in her school uniform came into view. Fisher growled in confusion: "What exactly are you?"

He could smell the Soul Reaper scent in her Reiatsu, but it was only a small part. The rest was cold, ruthless, and savage—similar to a Hollow, but even more vicious and frenzied.

Like a Hollow, yet not; like a Soul Reaper, yet not!

Rukia was speechless. Ever since Mo Yu started controlling her to hunt Hollows, she had felt her own changes. A transparent layer of Reishi had formed over her Gigai's skin, merging with the muscles to form a silicon-like energy structure. Beneath that, from bones to organs, more changes were occurring. Even her soul was undergoing a subtle mutation.

She didn't know what she was, and she felt a flicker of fear. But she wouldn't tell Fisher that. She simply raised her fists, expressing her intent through action.

Fisher knew there was no way out. He used Sonído, his figure attacking like a ghost. Though not as fast as an Espada, he seemed shrouded in mist, making his movements hard to track.

Surprisingly, Rukia didn't react. She stood there, letting Fisher's claws rake across her neck.

The result shocked Fisher. Aside from a shower of sparks, there was no damage. He gasped: "Hierro?! What kind of monster are you?"

Hierro (Steel Skin) was the signature defensive skill of a Hollow. A powerful Hollow could stand still and ask "Didn't you eat today?" to maximize their "coolness factor." Rukia had just successfully "stacked" her own style points.

Rukia felt no joy, only a profound sadness. To be called a monster by a fallen spirit like a Hollow was a blow to her pride as a Soul Reaper.

Mo Yu, of course, knew the truth. The [Vitality] skill increased her HP, but the Hogyoku's interpretation of "Vitality" was based on a certain logic: when Mo Yu leveled it to 10, it manifested as Hierro.

At Level 20, it extended into [Basic High-Speed Regeneration] and [Basic Pesquisa] (detection nerves). At Level 30, it granted the signature Hollow move: Cero.

Rukia was being remodeled into a Hollow-hybrid template, though her chest hadn't developed a "Hollow Hole" yet. Unlike regular Hollows, her form wasn't being pulled toward the "Eternal Progenitor Hollow." Meanwhile, the [Meditation] skill followed the Soul Reaper system, granting [Ultimate Cold Reiatsu], [Kido], and [Shunpo] at Level 30. The only difference was that the Hogyoku didn't need a Zanpakuto as a medium.

In the Bleach world, "purity" didn't matter; hybridization was the path to true power.

Fisher retreated, seeing Rukia standing still. The hatred in his heart flared: "Hmph. Even for a monster, you are too arrogant! Let's see if you can stay that way against my true power!"

Reiatsu erupted from Fisher. His baboon body shifted toward a humanoid shape, his mask splitting to reveal a coarse, ferocious face. His body swelled into a massive, muscular powerhouse.

Fisher was confident. After his failed "Arrancar-ization" eons ago, he had spent years perfecting his form. The result was this: brute force and hard muscle.

Seeing him enter "Phase 2," Mo Yu decided to show respect by activating Rukia's Phase 2.

"Rukia Unit-01, initiate Aura Burst! Get ready for the Finisher!"

Rukia felt her power flooding her body like a dam breaking. Her expression turned to one of "social despair." In the next instant, a powerful Reiatsu erupted from her like a pillar of flame, and her body expanded.

Her school uniform tightened as her slender arms and legs were replaced by powerful, steel-like muscle fibers. From behind, her back muscles were so developed they almost formed a "demon face." Even through the uniform, the raw ferocity of her physique was palpable.

Her face remained unchanged—clear-eyed and elegant—but her body was now that of a world-conquering powerhouse.

"You..." Fisher looked at his own clunky muscles and then at Rukia's perfectly sculpted physique. A sense of inferiority filled him. Rukia, meanwhile, was only filled with the sense of "social death."

Because Mo Yu kept leveling [Vitality], the Hogyoku had granted this Gigai the "Aura Burst" second-stage transformation to handle the soaring power. Mo Yu didn't care about the aesthetic clash; in his world, players customized characters in the weirdest ways possible.

Fisher was a Menos-class Arrancar who appeared early in the original series. Though he was eventually one-shot by Ichigo's father, Isshin, Mo Yu remained cautious. Isshin was a former Captain, after all. Mo Yu decided to test Fisher's "HP bar" with a ranged attack.

"Take my Kamehameha!"

Rukia cupped her hands at her waist and pushed forward, firing a beam of light.

"You monster!" Fisher saw clearly—that wasn't a Kamehameha; it was a Cero. He dodged, but Mo Yu, flush with MP, fired ten more in rapid succession. Fisher took several hits and began to bleed.

"As expected, Fisher is a scrub," Mo Yu noted. He guessed that characters like Aizen might be stronger than the original because of collective fan memory, but characters like Fisher—who were inconsistent or poorly defined—might be weaker.

Fisher's "HP bar" was thin, his defense was brittle, and his attacks were just mindless swings. Aside from his Sonído, he was the "shame of the Arrancar."

Mo Yu decided to end it. He held the dodge key; Rukia used Shunpo to blink beside Fisher and began her combo! In Aura Burst mode, her physical damage was massive. Mo Yu actually had to slow his clicks, fearing he'd kill the "actor" before the script was set.

"Damn your arrogance! Die!" Fisher prepared his own Cero.

But Rukia had finished her setup. The Hogyoku warped reality so violently that space distorted. Rukia's figure split into multiple afterimages that surrounded Fisher, pummelling him from all sides and knocking the Cero back into his throat. The "clones" didn't deal much damage, but they acted as a seal, pinning him in place.

Fisher prepared to tank the hit and flee, but then, a bright moon rose in his vision. It wasn't the moon; it was a "Holy Mirror" of Reishi held in Rukia's hands. Once Fisher's reflection was caught in the mirror, Rukia crushed it, slamming her fist into him.

[Hogyoku-Style Taijutsu - Second Form: 'Yata-no-Kagami Zero-Skill Foundation'] [Input: Light x5 → Heavy x1 → Light Charge] [Effect: Summons clones to paralyze the enemy. The main body summons a phantom of the Yata Mirror (courtesy of the Hogyoku) to seal the enemy's image, followed by a finisher that imposes a special "Reality Distortion Seal."]

Mo Yu didn't want to kill him. He needed him to be compliant. The Hogyoku's new finisher did exactly that. Fisher let out a tragic howl as his mountain-like body shrank and folded, forced into a human shape. As a human, he looked like a pure, high-quality villain.

Not just his body, but his mind was sealed. Fisher lay on the ground with hollow eyes, muttering like a broken record:

"My role is the Corrupt Politician... I must have Uryu Ishida's virtue... My role is the Corrupt Politician... I must have Uryu Ishida's virtue..."

The skill provided the "makeup" and the script in one go.

Meanwhile, Ichigo had taken his leave, bought a wig and contacts, changed clothes, and arrived at the designated school.

"I am Kurosaki... no, I am Kudo Shinji. I'm here for the security guard position!"

Ichigo thought a sixteen-year-old applying for a job would be impossible, but the principal welcomed him instantly. No ID or resume needed. He was given a uniform and half a year's salary in advance on the spot.

"Is being a security guard always this good? Getting paid six months' salary on day one?"

Sitting in the security booth, looking at the cash, Ichigo's understanding of society was becoming very warped. Mo Yu told him he didn't need cameras; the "Director" would record everything from a higher dimension. Ichigo just had to play the part.

He spent a quiet afternoon settling into his new role as "Security Guard Kudo."
