Chapter 46: The Villains Reach a Consensus on the Development and Utilization of Uryu Ishida

Mo Yu had no comment on Yhwach's desire to create a new world without sacrifice, pain, or death. He simply felt the man was "unprofessional."

In this day and age, what kind of villain hasn't appeared in movies and novels?

World-destroying villains are a dime a dozen. Their methods and reasons are varied and bizarre. Mo Yu had seen it all. As a web novel author, he couldn't help but wonder if these villain templates could be borrowed for his books—how their logic worked, where the highlights were, what the flaws were, and how to fix them.

If described in gaming terms, Mo Yu's profession was [Web Novel Author], and his skill bar likely contained an LV5 skill: [Villainous Eschatology]. In a sense, the reason Mo Yu's career as a writer was such a "failure" was precisely this: while other authors studied tropes and "satisfaction points," who else would spend all day contemplating how to logically destroy a world?

But fate is unpredictable. Strange skills that were useless in reality found a purpose in the World Bubbles of the Silver Sea.

Destroying a world is a difficult task. Not only will protagonists and side characters rush in shouting about "passion," "friendship," and "bonds" while going through frantic power-ups to beat you, but there are countless technical issues. Raw power isn't enough; you need vision, wisdom, and a fair bit of luck. In the history of anime, the number of villains who truly succeeded in destroying a world can be counted on one hand.

As the final antagonist of Bleach, Yhwach had enough raw power, but in other areas, he was "just okay." As the Son of the Soul King and one of the strongest beings alive, he was utterly ignorant of the world's deepest secrets. No wonder Ichibe Hyosube treated him like an ignorant child.

As the King of Trash-Talk Aizen famously said: The weak question why the world is the way it is; the strong describe how the world should be.

To reach that step, one must understand the world's laws. Knowledge is the foundation of change; otherwise, it's just the self-righteous sleep-talking of a fool.

Take Hell, for instance. Even the Soul Reapers have some level of exploration and understanding of it, yet Yhwach seemed never to have looked beyond his own backyard. If he had used his Almighty eyes to investigate, he would have found that Hell has been slowly encroaching on the Three Worlds. He would have realized the fundamental flaw in his ideal.

Destroy the Three Worlds, merge them into one, and return to the era of Chaos? Sure, at first, Yhwach might enjoy a "Paradise" without death. But once Hell completely swallowed that Chaos, all he would be left with is an era of eternal sacrifice, unending pain, and death without end.

Yhwach's ideal was doomed. Not just the powerhouses of the Three Worlds, but the World itself would subconsciously stop him. Even if he "defied heaven" and succeeded, it would only be the start of a greater despair.

But again, a person's fortunes are hard to predict. The somewhat dim-witted Yhwach met Mo Yu, who happened to be an expert in world destruction. It was a meeting of two "demonic" minds. The wheels of fate didn't just start turning; they revved to full horsepower, ready to drag race on the peaks of Mount Akina for the title of "God of the Road."

Mo Yu used plain, clear language to describe the primordial secrets to Yhwach. He analyzed exactly where his philosophy went wrong and pointed out that the Three Worlds weren't his enemy—Hell was the fundamental contradiction blocking his path.

Yhwach's expression shifted wildly. First shock and disbelief, then his face gradually twisted into an abstract display of "face acting" (Akao). Clearly, he finally understood why Ichibe had called him ignorant a thousand years ago.

Watching a "chuunibyou" kid shouting nonsense slogans while diving head-first toward a dead end... for an adult like Ichibe, a little "sealing of the eyes" was practically a gentle caress of love!

Yes, back then, Ichibe sealing Yhwach's eyes wasn't out of malice, but a form of "kindness." Of course, Ichibe's kindness wasn't pure; for him, the more candidates qualified to become the next "Soul King Pillar," the better. He didn't want Yhwach to die of stupidity, so he gave him a warning in his own way.

Unfortunately, Yhwach hadn't understood. He carried the seal and led an army to the Soul Society, only to be cut down by the murderous ghost, Yamamoto. He didn't fully realize the truth until meeting Mo Yu a millennium later.

"I don't mock any ideal put into practice, even if it looks stupid," Mo Yu said. "Because sometimes, the world is moved forward—or backward—by such stupidity. Your philosophy has flaws, but with corrections and the right direction, you can change the world. Especially in this era where old tribulations haven't left and new ones have arrived. We need 'fodder'—er, I mean, 'heroes' like you to stand up and set the world right."

After a flurry of facial expressions, Yhwach fell into a deep silence. His mindset was incredibly complex: embarrassed, lost, humiliated, and angry—but simultaneously, deeply grateful and relieved. He felt a warmth he had never known.

Perhaps, this is what people call 'paternal love,' Yhwach thought. He spoke:

"Soul King, you need not comfort me. An eternal paradise without death or pain is a path I must walk. But before that, as You said, I need time to think. Putting that aside... You followed Uryu Ishida to my empire. Surely You didn't come just to guide me?"

Yhwach's philosophy wasn't just an ideal; it was a necessary act of self-salvation. A thousand years ago, he was a qualified king, noble and composed. But after a millennium of absorbing the souls of Quincies slaughtered by Soul Reapers, his psyche had irrevocably shifted toward paranoia, coldness, and brutality. He was falling, and so were all Quincies. The Empire of Light had become the Wandenreich—the Empire of Shadows.

He wondered: In another thousand years, what will we become? Broken, twisted madmen leading a group of paranoid rats in a gutter, dreaming eternal, warped dreams? To a former God and King, that was a pathetic ending. He would not stop his pursuit of Paradise—for his followers, and for himself.

But Yhwach didn't want to elaborate on that. He brought the conversation back to its origin.

"My goal," Mo Yu stated, "is to seek cooperation. The old Three Tribulations aren't gone, and now a new tribulation of 'Void' approaches. I need to refine the Three Worlds into an Ark to cross the Void to a New World. To do this, I need to unite all the forces that can be united..."

Mo Yu introduced the Void crisis and the Ark plan. Yhwach listened with a grave expression. Villains have one good quality: they are ambitious. A world returning to nothingness didn't suit Yhwach's interests; he needed a world to carry his consciousness.

After Mo Yu finished, Yhwach's gaze landed on the "corpse" of Uryu Ishida, who had been lying there forgotten for a while.

"Is he your pawn for this Ark plan?"

Mo Yu's main goal in sending Uryu was to draw out Yhwach. Now that he had succeeded, he didn't intend for Uryu to leave the stage yet.

"He isn't a pawn. He is a formal employee of Heaven Media who passed my interview with flying colors. He is currently the lead actor of The Strongest Security Guard Episode 2. Don't be fooled by his pathetic state; he has many scenes left. In the Ark plan, he has a vital role. But currently, he needs help from you. For instance... I think he is qualified to be the next Quincy King."

Yhwach looked at Uryu again. Even on the brink of death, that unquenchable fire of battle spirit was still beating back the darkness.

Yhwach's cold eyes flashed with appreciation. He had been watching Uryu's rampage in the Seireitei. His eagerness to find the boy after Yoruichi saved him wasn't out of hunger, as Mo Yu guessed, but out of admiration. Uryu reminded him of the Quincies of a thousand years ago—proud, spirit-filled, and glorious.

Only such a legion of Quincies could have supported Yhwach back then when his Almighty was sealed. In the history erased by the Nobles, the Quincies had marched with iron steps, routing the noble warlords of the Soul Society. They had nearly toppled the dimension. That was why the Nobles eventually united and founded the Seireitei—and why they slaughtered the Quincies after Yhwach's fall.

But that was the past. Modern Quincies had forgotten the banners of glory. Aside from the Sternritter, Yhwach didn't even want to mention the others. He felt that Uryu's indomitable spirit might be the key to recloaking the falling Quincy race in their former glory.

Even if Uryu couldn't do it, just having him around would improve Yhwach's mood.

However, knowing Uryu was part of the Ark plan, Yhwach asked: "He is indeed qualified to be the next King. But what is your purpose in this?"

Mo Yu didn't hide it: "Struggle is about identifying friends and enemies. There are forces to unite, and enemies that can only be divided and purged. For example, the Soul Reapers. To handle them, we cannot avoid the Zero Division. I intend to draw them out early. Uryu—the heir to the Wandenreich persecuted by the Soul Reapers—and you, the power standing behind him, are the perfect weights to tilt the scales..."

Aizen and Yhwach were "unite-able" because their core interests didn't conflict with Mo Yu's. But the Soul Reapers were different. The survival of the Three Worlds depended on the Soul King being a puppet. This was the ultimate trump card for the five Great Noble Families to maintain their rule across eras.

Mo Yu suspected the Nobles still held a "backdoor" to the Soul King's power for emergencies, passed down in secret. If Mo Yu tried to "borrow" the Soul King for his Ark, the Nobles would lose their legal basis for rule. They would rather see the world burn.

Mo Yu's plan was to stir up the Seireitei, filter out who could be united or reformed, and identify who had to be put on a "Purge List" for efficient removal. This would simultaneously force the Zero Division to descend.

Yhwach, having grown wiser over a millennium, could follow Mo Yu's logic. They talked for a long time, reaching a deep consensus on the "development and utilization" of Uryu Ishida. Finally, they decided to use Uryu's body as the "paper" to sign a Strategic Partnership Covenant between Heaven Media and the Wandenreich.

Though technically dying, Uryu had just become a key player in changing the history of the universe. He was "winning big"!

Yhwach didn't waste time. He summoned the Sternritter. Under their gaze, he extended his hand. Drops of blood flowed from his fingertips, falling onto Uryu and soaking into his body.

This was Yhwach's sharing—the gift of the King's Blood. Only with this would Uryu have the legal right to rule all Quincies.

"In the presence of the Soul King, Uryu Ishida shall carry my oath. He becomes the Crown Prince of the Empire, the future King of Quincies, to forge the path toward tomorrow!"

Yhwach remembered the "pre-reversal" timeline, but the Sternritter did not (except for the two Soul King fragments). They were stunned by the sudden news but didn't dare speak.

As soon as Uryu received the blood, before anyone could see his changes, he was snatched by an invisible hand and pulled toward the sky. A fading voice echoed:

"I'm taking the 'Covenant Document' with me. I'll be back if I need you..."

Shortly after, in a secluded spot in the Soul Society, the solo-acting Sosuke Aizen saw Uryu fall from the sky. Mo Yu's voice rang in his ear:

"Stage one complete. We have another Senior Partner at Heaven Media. Our righteous work of world destruction is proceeding smoothly. Now... begin Stage Two!"

Aizen pushed his glasses up, a sinister smile appearing on his gentle face.

"The Soul King, silent for a million years, is certainly decisive once He acts. Very well. Permit me to be a bit unruly, then. I wish to sit in the best seat and watch my 'friend' beat the world."

Mo Yu didn't mind. "Stage Two is yours. As long as you don't overdo it, do as you please..."

The news that Uryu Ishida had been "re-captured" by Captain Aizen spread through the Seireitei. But before Yamamoto could react, a decree from Central 46 was issued:

"Uryu Ishida, the Quincy remnant, has committed high crimes of distorting the human world and murdering a Captain. He is extremely malicious. No interrogation needed. In seven days, he shall be executed!"

The swift, ruthless judgment was unlike the usual bureaucratic slowness of Central 46. Yamamoto found it suspicious, but said nothing.

The next day, a Senkaimon opened outside the Seireitei. Ichigo Kurosaki stepped onto the soil of the Soul Society with his hands in his pockets, looking like he was on a casual stroll.

Behind him were ranks of cackling, battle-hungry, high-purity Martial Artists.

Moments later, a scream rang out, and a shocking piece of news tore through the Soul Society:

Captain Sosuke Aizen, the famous nice guy of the Seireitei, has been assassinated. His body was found pinned to a building by a blade. Beside it, a sacred Quincy cross was drawn in blood.

According to the first witness, the tearful Lieutenant Momo Hinamori, this was clearly a retaliatory strike by the Quincies for Aizen's capture of Uryu Ishida.
