"I'm back!"
With a bang, the office door was kicked open by Darian.
Nick Fury, behind his desk, remained calm, apparently used to it.
He glanced at Darian's out-of-place classical attire and asked with a dark face, "Agent Darian, where have you been these past few days? Coulson reported you were out of contact."
"Asgard, of course. Coulson told me to monitor Thor, so I just followed him."
Darian said with a matter-of-fact expression, "Here I am, having fun in Asgard. After monitoring for a few days, I immediately rushed back to report once everything was done."
Nick Fury: (⊙_⊙)
You were about to say 'had fun for a few days,' weren't you?
Then, Darian briefly recounted what happened between Thor and Loki.
After listening, Nick Fury rubbed his Sun with effort, his voice tired: "So, all this commotion was just an internal family dispute among aliens?"
Darian nodded: "That's right. So, do I still need to go back and assist Coulson with his work?"
"No need, you stay in New York."
Nick Fury waved his hand, feeling a headache coming on.
He had originally planned to transfer Darian to a remote area to lie low for a while, but he didn't expect such a huge commotion.
According to Coulson's report, Darian's mech and the Destroyer's battle almost flattened half of the local town.
Because Darian was involved, S.H.I.E.L.D. had to compensate for some of the losses, which further exacerbated their already tight budget.
[Mission'Support Coulson' settlement successful!]
[Rewards obtained: 1000 Experience Points, 20 S.H.I.E.L.D. Reputation, item 'Hydrofluoric Acid', item 'Protein Energy Bar']

[Item: Protein Energy Bar (Snowpiercer's specialty food, with a protein content more than ten times that of beef)]
"Oh, there's something I need to remind you about."
Nick Fury looked at Darian and said, "Remember the mission for your promotion to Level 6 Agent? That organization called The Hand has been secretly investigating your information these past few days, and they've even posted a high bounty on the dark web for your whereabouts."
"I've been bountied?"
Upon hearing this, Darian curiously pressed, "How much am I worth?"
"2 million U.S. dollars."
"What!?"
Darian was furious the moment he heard it.
"Calm down, I know you're angry about the bounty. I'll handle this," Nick Fury tried to appease him.
Who knew Darian would angrily say, "I'm only worth 2 million U.S. dollars? What the hell, who are they looking down on!?"
Nick Fury: "..."
It turned out this guy wasn't angry about being bountied, but rather because the bounty amount was too low.
"Director, let me handle this myself. You don't need to interfere."
Darian finished speaking and turned to leave, looking indignant.
After he left, Nick Fury looked at the budget adjustment report in his hand, and the worry on his face instantly vanished.
"Finally, another excuse to apply for more funding from the World Council."
After leaving the Director's office, Darian immediately used his Level 6 Agent authority to find the bounty information about himself.
It clearly stated that providing relevant clues about the target would earn a reward of 100,000 to 500,000 U.S. dollars, and providing the target's specific location after verification would earn 1 million U.S. dollars.
If the target was captured directly, the reward would be 2 million U.S. dollars!
If it were an ordinary person seeing such a high bounty on themselves, they would likely be cautious, fearing a bounty hunter might appear at any moment.
But Darian didn't think that way; he only felt his bounty amount was too low.
Luffy's bounty is calculated in the hundreds of millions; who are they looking down on with a mere 2 million?
Darian stared at his bounty amount, quite displeased.
Suddenly, a thought flashed through his mind.
"Since I'm idle anyway, I might as well earn this money myself."
Late at night, Hell's Kitchen.
Deep inside an abandoned factory, a dozen blurry Shadow figures gathered.
In the center of the venue stood an East Asian man who seemed to be doing well for himself, and an old woman with a face full of wrinkles.
The old woman squinted at Murakami and said in a slow, hoarse voice, "Murakami, I heard your apprentice, Shin, not only lost the organization's ledger but also lost an important member. Alexandra is quite displeased with you now."
Murakami's face was grim as he said, "Madame Gao, I have already begun investigating the two people who broke into the building that day. One is Daredevil, who often operates in Hell's Kitchen. The other's identity is temporarily unknown, but I have already posted a bounty on the dark web to track this person."
"The good news is, I just received a notification that this unidentified person has been captured and, I believe, will soon be escorted here."
Madame Gao nodded: "That's good. There's an idiom, 'kill the chicken to warn the monkeys.' Today, we will use this clueless chicken to teach a good lesson to those monkeys who dare to pry into The Hand."
Just as Murakami said, footsteps soon echoed from outside the abandoned factory.
A masked man escorted Darian, who was tied up with ropes, into the abandoned factory.
The masked man looked at Murakami and said, "The person you requested has been delivered. Please confirm receipt."
"That's right, it's this guy."
Murakami snorted coldly when he saw Darian's appearance, wishing he could tear Darian limb from limb on the spot.
He suppressed the anger in his heart and asked the masked man, "How did you catch this guy?"
Even The Hand couldn't find Darian's identity or whereabouts, so Murakami was very curious how the masked man managed it.
The masked man said coldly, "We are a professional team; we have our methods. You don't need to know this. Since it's confirmed, please pay the reward as agreed."
Murakami frowned slightly, somewhat displeased with the masked man's attitude.
No matter what, he was a high-ranking member of The Hand, and a mere bounty hunter actually showed him such disrespect.
Murakami's fingers moved slightly, and the surrounding Shadow figures slowly closed in, holding katanas.
Clearly, he had changed his mind and intended to get it for free.
Seeing this, the masked man remained calm and said, "I advise you not to entertain any bad ideas."
Saying that, the masked man clapped his hands.
The next moment, a dozen equally masked men rushed into the abandoned factory.
Each was fully armed, with equipment more sophisticated than that of regular troops. Some even held RPG Rocket launchers, aimed at Murakami and the others.
Murakami: "..."
Madame Gao: "..."
This is too professional!
