Arc 2 chapter 18
The time limit finally ended and the storm starts glowing blue from the inside as if it's some sort of signal and the people inside the storm starts disappearing one by one like Alex, Albert, Sion, Rachel, Kali, Anos and the Sun Spiders. Two pairs were selected for each portal that appeared and somehow everybody in Alex's party were paired with a member of the Sun Spiders and Anos got paired up with his team member for the portal and when this process was done, the curse ended and the Cursed Storm started moving even further north and it was eventually gonna reach the destroyed Rabbit type beast-folk village and then head for Trysad kingdom which had the highest population in the country and Albert could not afford that, soo he's gonna have to defeat his monster quickly but also dealing with a Sun Spider that he was paired up with was not gonna be simple.
Alex after bieng taken by the storm and spinning around endlessly got teleported into some sort of fancy place like the inside of a northern royal castle and he was just standing there confused but after a little bit of time, he went around the place until after sometime he found what looked like a throne room and a black armor was sitting on the throne holding a big black sword.
Alex: it looks like I really am in a castle, but how did I end up here?
Ssp1: you were caught up in the Storm's curse and now you gotta pass a trial if you wanna make it back.
Alex: (on guard) who are you?
Ssp1: your worst nightmare, but right now we have a common enemy and it's that right there. (pointing at the black armor)
Alex: I kinda suspected that armor, I guess I was right about it, but what kind of monster is it?
Ssp1: it's a Dark knight and it's probably around B or A rank and it's infused with powerful dark magic... A real nightmare. I guess I'll focus on killing you later, for now we gotta take down that thing.
Alex: kill me?! Why do you want to kill me?
Ssp1: I'm one of the top ten powerful members of the Sun Spiders and we go by the ten Powers and I'm power no:1 and I was sent to kill you because you're in our way, you and your buddies.
Alex: I see... Let's deal with this thing then, so I can beat your ass quick.
Ssp1: what got in such a rush?
Alex: I can't exactly let your group kill my friends.
Ssp1: is that what you're worried about? You friends? Well whatever let's get this over with.
Alex and power1 got closer to the black armor and when they were close enough it started moving and it stood up from it's throne with it's big black sword and now the Dark night was fully awaken and released a huge volume of aura and prepared itself for combat.
Alex and power1 released their aura and charged straight to the Dark knight and tried to punch it with their aura infused fists, but the dark night dogded it and tried to slash Alex's torso but Alex reacted fast enough and moved away to keep some distance and fired rapid [fire balls LV1] at the Dark knight. Now that the dark knight was occupied with Alex's fire balls, Power1 attacked it using [sword dance LV3] and landed some hits on it, but that was it and now the Dark knight threw a [dark ball energy LV5] at him and Power1 managed to take some steps back, but the Dark knight was already behind him and Power1 couldn't react in time and got launched to the ceiling and after that it quickly closed the distance between it and Alex and tried to cut him with it's sword, but Alex managed to block it with his sword and then he activated [swordmanship LV3] and the Dark knight responded with the same battle tech and huge exchange of slashes began and both were moving so fast for a mere LV3 slashes of swordmanship and what made this even more impressive was the fact that Alex could keep up with it and he looked calm for someone fighting something way stronger than him.
Ssp1: (how is this possible? He's supposed to be an E rank? But the way he uses his aura and how he handles it to match his swordsmanship and applying it to the right parts of his body to balance himself... It's incredible... He uses his mana perfectly to make up for his lack of abilities... One things for sure is that if I fight him one on one I'd lose, this was totally unexpected)
Alex: I have a long way to go before I can master my mana control but I can at least hold my ground with this!
Ssp1: what are you talking about? Your mana control is fine you weirdo!
Alex: don't try to encourage me when I know I'm an amateur! (Albert said I'm still not good enough so I must keep improving).
Ssp1: I see... (is it possible that the abilities of mana control are still advanced than I thought?)
Power1 quickly snapped out of it and went back to assisting Alex with the fight and they tried to overpower the Dark knight as dark magic energy blasts were thrown left and right by the dark knight and Alex and Power1 managed to dogde most of them and Alex threw multiple [fire balls LV1] at it and Power1 threw multiple non-attribute mana blasts at it,though it was taking damage it was still not enough to end it, since it was an A rank monster with high level dark attribute control and most of all it was made of really tough armor but the it's mana core was a little bit exposed after taking a lot of damage.
Alex: hey is there a way you can make it stand still? I think I beat it if you restrict it's movement and hold it in one place.
Ssp1: I think I can with holy bind but I can only hold for a short time, maybe about 30 seconds.
Alex:... That would be enough! You go and hold it in one place and I'll prepare an attack that will destroy it.
Ssp1: I don't take orders from you, but I'll gamble with you for now.
Power1 went straight for the Dark knight and exchanged some blows with it and after some time passed, he used [holy bind] to bind the Dark knight in one place and then retreated the area.
Ssp1: it's over for you now!
Alex: haaaa! [Phoenix dance fire punch LV1]
When the Dark knight finally realized that Alex was gone from where he was, it looked around until it finally looked up and Alex was above it with an angry Phoenix like fire in his left hand and striked the Dark knight at it's exposed core and it completely shattered and the black armor finally turned back into regular armor and the black sword disappeared and the throne turned to dust and got replaced by a portal leading outside but...
Alex: funny cuz every time I use Phoenix dance it would drain me completely but I can still keep going for atleast two more... Enough about that, now it's just me and you.
Ssp1: I don't have much mana left like you, but I'll keep my end of the deal.
Alex: yeah I can see it, your mana is low and a little bit unstable... Mhm is it fear?
Ssp1:... [light sword] this will be my final attack.
Alex:... [fire punch LV4] as you wish.
Alex and Power1's magic abilities clashed as they charged at each other and the final outcome was Alex standing there and Power1 was dead on the floor. This was Alex's first time killing another human being.
Alex: huh? I don't feel anything, matter of fact I feel a little bit relieved, is this normal? No I don't think it is... I guess you were dead the moment you tried to hurt my friends. Well it's time to get out of here and I don't think I wanna see any castle for a while.
