Chapter 4 - CHAPTER FOUR-'GO HANG'

Alec woke up with a smile, as he always did every day, but this smile seemed different, more of a real smile, not a forced smile. Alec rushed into the bathroom and came out minutes later fully dressed in the uniform. He then woke up Alex who immediately got up to prepare. "Now for the hard part" thought Alec.

He crept to Allen's bed, where he was snoring softly.

Alec gently tapped on his shoulder. Allen pushed himself into the opposing position on his bed, still asleep. "Wake up Allen" said Alec hopefully. Allen still snored deep in slumber.

"Wake up!" Alec whispered loudly, regretting it instantly. Allen woke up with a yawn. All of a sudden, he started fuming, shouting at Allen like the psycho he was. "Shush", whispered Alec, "Lazy Ol' Louis is still sleeping, let's leave for church before he wakes up, if he does, he has to follow us". Allen stopped his blabbering and walked quietly into the bathroom to prepare.

Alec sighed in relief. He didn't really want Louis following he and his brothers everywhere. Soon, the three were done dressing and each picked a cell phone from the table, sneaking out. Allen pressed rapidly on the cell phone. "Ugh, no signal outside this school, only stupid goody-goody apps, like the Calculator Hero and Counsellor Chat.I also see Louis's phone number and the school's newspaper app. Useless!" Allen shoved the phone into his pocket.

"Look on the bright side, we have devices! No other juvenile does I'm sure" Alec brought out. "Whatever" he replied. "I really can't wait for Monday tomorrow when we have to learn irrelevant information" Alex said sarcastically. They walked into the canteen where they had a satisfying breakfast, this time with no disturbance from anyone. After breakfast, they hurriedly ran to the auditorium, all very excited for church. The boys adored church when they were back home in South Africa, Alex included; even though he never showed it. Using the schedule map, they reached the auditorium successfully.

It was large, with hundreds of fine-furnished wooden benches. It tiles were a wavy blue, with long and wide wall around it in a perfect square. But there was one problem; only three people were present!

They sat next to Kweku Baah who sat next to a skinny tall boy holding a mouse in his arms, and next to him was a plump man, avoiding the new arrivals and kept tapping on his phone rapidly. "Hey guys" said Kweku in a shaky voice.

"Who's that guy?" Allen whispered.

"Oh he's Mr. Britt, our guardian. He doesn't talk much though; he just plays Zuma on his phone all day when he's got nothing to do. Who's your guardian?"

"Oh, a dude called Louis" Alec cut in.

"Ok. Never heard of him though"

Kweku sighed and turned to Allen.

"Can I switch with you Allen, I'm afraid of mice and my brother apparently has forgotten that."

The boy who held the mouse shot the three with a smile as Allen switched positions with Kweku. He suddenly put the tiny mouse in his laps and started doing some kind of funny movements with his hands. "He's saying hi guys, and his name's Kobby Baah" translated Alex. Everyone stared at him in shock. "I can read sign language", he said after an awkward silence.

Kobby smiled again. After five minutes of waiting Mr. Mistard stepped into the auditorium, not surprised at all on the number of students that showed up.

"Good mornings students!" he shouted, not waiting for an answer, "I see that two, no, three more students joined the usual congregation, four if the mouse counts. Welcome to Twisted Chapel Alec, Alex and Allen!".

"Hello" replied Alec, sinking into his seat when he realized that he was the only one responding.

The session went well, and the five boys, one young man and one mouse left the auditorium, full on new-found knowledge of God, and were soon joined by the Buddhists and the Muslims, when the bell rang for lunch. Lunch went well for the boys too, as they all laughed and joked about lots of unnecessary things; well, except Alex, who ate his food in silence and Mr. Britt, who was still tapping on his phone. Allen even looked cheerful for once, but his happiness didn't even last for five minutes. That was when Bullhawks walked into the hallway. Brick Bullhawks was born in Canada, but was brought to the school for his excessive bullying problems, after nearly paralyzing a boy in his old school. Now here he was, walking boldly across the canteen, expecting everyone to quiver and panic as he walked by, but this wasn't his old school. In RJMTK, no one even noticed him as he walked past. He had only managed to hook up as prefect of entertainment, even though he never attended student meeting and did nothing regarding the entertainment of the school. He had even lost his prefect's tag.

He looked around for anyone who he could find to torture. He craned his neck at Kweku, who sat laughing and enjoying his food.

Way too easy.

Then he stared at the kids next to Kweku, ignoring the man who continued to tap on his phone, oblivious to what was happening in the world around him. "Perfect" Brick mumbled in a hush tone. He approached the table elegantly, stamping the ground as he made each step. It's a pity he was destined to die, a death so ridiculous that its roots will never ever be discovered. He slammed his hands on the table, grinning. "Hello princesses" he boomed at the triplets. "I see that you're new, aren't you".

"We are. Hi! I'm Alec Ashish. Nice to meet you" replied Alec in his usual manner of first-meet greetings. The boy suddenly lifted Alec by the collar, raising his hands in preparation to punch Alec in the nose.

Unfortunately, he had picked the triplet who was not only a master in kung-fu, but one who had topped the ranks in taekwondo and was a master in most martial arts.

Brick was immediately gifted with a kick in his stomach by Alec.

He stumbled over, falling face first and landed on the white-tiled floor. He immediately got up and lunged at Alex, who didn't react, but just stayed there, awaiting his fate.

Suddenly he shouted "Just leave me alone and go hang yourself or do something better with your life you nincompoop!". Brick immediately stopped, his eyebrows rising as he cocked his head sideways as a dog would do if it gets confused.

He then left slowly; his face determined to do something he wouldn't even have the chance to regret.

The rest of the students just stared.

Soon the bell dinged and everyone went back to their dorms, the triplets being the only ones without their guardian
