Chapter 139 - Chapter 139: Yun Yun Wants to Die

A pale-faced young man in luxurious brocade robes staggered forward with unsteady steps. His eyes were filled with lust, and the lecherous grin on his face was completely undisguised.

Xiao Jietian glanced at the Tier-5 Alchemist robe he was wearing and couldn't help thinking:

Does this outfit no longer command respect?

"This is Jia Jiji, the second-generation heir of the Jia Family."

Golden Light City lived up to its name. Most of its buildings were constructed from golden materials, glowing brilliantly under the sunlight.

The Jia Family was one of the three major families in the city, alongside the Huang Family and the Gong Family.

Seeing this scene, the women frowned slightly. Queen Medusa stared at the approaching young man with an indifferent expression.

"Scram."

A cold, domineering voice left Medusa's lips.

In the next instant, Jia Jiji and his lackeys were blasted away by an invisible force.

They crashed into a wall several meters away. The wall collapsed, rubble scattering everywhere.

As the dust settled, several blood-stained yellow teeth lay beside the young man's corpse. He had already lost all signs of life.

Xiao Jietian suddenly reached out, and a young man from the crowd was pulled toward him, seized by the throat.

"You instigated him, didn't you?"

The man struggled violently. His body stiffened the moment he heard those words, but he quickly forced himself to calm down.

"Sir, you misunderstand! It wasn't me. How could I dare?"

"Oh? Isn't that the eldest young master of the Gong Family?"

A passerby recognized him and exclaimed.

"Your expression gave you away," Xiao Jietian said calmly."You wanted to kill with a borrowed knife. Since that's the case, you can die."

"Sir, I—"

Crack.

With a squeeze of Xiao Jietian's hand, the man's neck snapped instantly. His body went limp, lifeless.

Ignoring the corpses, Xiao Jietian led the women away.

Not long after they left, the City Guards "just happened" to arrive and take control of the situation.

A Tier-5 Alchemist held an exalted status throughout the empire. Naturally, the guards did not dare offend him.

Not to mention, the auras of those women were terrifying.

They had already visited many cities, yet still hadn't found a single herb needed for the Soul Fusion Pill.

They planned to search this city one last time. If they still found nothing, they would wait until reaching the Black-Corner Region.

Medusa understood that Xiao Jietian had many responsibilities and didn't want to waste too much of his time. She herself suggested stopping after this city.

After letting go of her obsession, Medusa gradually changed.

She followed the others to explore, sightsee, and experience a sense of relaxation she had never known before.

In the past, she had devoted herself entirely to the Snake-People Tribe, leading them out of the desert in search of survival.

But now, it seemed she had made another decision.

"There's a pharmacy here!"

Qing Lin pointed at a signboard and called out.

Xiao Jietian looked up and paused.

The shop's sign read: "There's a Pharmacy Here."

His expression turned strange.

Is this some pirated version of "There's an Inn in All the Worlds"?

Putting that aside, the owner's naming sense was… impressive.

"Let's go in and take a look."

Xiao Jietian led them inside. Less than a minute later, they walked back out.

None of the required medicinal ingredients were there.

During that short visit, Xiao Jietian had even whispered a strange math riddle to the owner, who stared at him in complete confusion.

The boss was not a transmigrator—he was simply imaginative.

"Let's go. A lot of people are coming this way," Xiao Jietian said.

He lifted Qing Lin and Ya Fei—who couldn't fly yet—and spread his Golden Feathered Sky Wings, rising into the air.

Yun Yun summoned her Dou Qi wings. The Little Fairy Doctor and Medusa simply walked through the air as if stepping on invisible ground.

The members of the Jia and Gong Families who rushed over were so terrified that they collapsed on the spot, then scrambled back toward their homes.

Later that night, all the second-generation heirs of both families received some very "loving" discipline from their fathers.

The group continued flying, and soon the outline of Wutan City appeared in the distance.

They landed outside the city.

Looking at the familiar streets, Xiao Jietian felt complex emotions stirring within his heart.

Sensing this, the Little Fairy Doctor and Qing Lin gently held his hands, silently comforting him.

Xiao Jietian led them through the city gates, walking toward the Xiao Family residence.

The women curiously observed everything around them. Xiao Jietian patiently explained the places they passed and shared stories of his past there.

As they drew closer to the Xiao Family, tension slowly appeared on the women's faces.

This was their first official visit to meet the parents.

Even the Little Fairy Doctor, who had experienced it once before, felt nervous.

The most nervous of all was Yun Yun.

She had once allowed her disciple to come here to break off an engagement—and now she was arriving as a daughter-in-law.

The social embarrassment hit her like a wave.

Xiao Jietian noticed her unease. He tightly held her trembling hand.

"It's okay. Father is very open-minded. Don't worry."

His calm voice soothed her. Yun Yun looked at him and nodded, her tension easing little by little.

As for Medusa, her face remained indifferent.

This has nothing to do with me. Why should I be nervous?

Queen Medusa—then what do your clenched fists and hidden expectations mean?

They arrived at the Xiao Family's main gate.

"Stop. This is the Xiao Family. State your names if you wish to visit," a guard said.

"Little Six, I've only been gone a little over a year. You don't recognize me anymore?"

Xiao Jietian laughed and patted the guard's head.

"You are… Third Young Master?!"

Little Six felt the familiar touch, looked closely, and suddenly shouted in disbelief.

Before Xiao Jietian could speak, Little Six and another guard rushed inside, shouting:

"Third Young Master Xiao Jietian has returned!"

Xiao Jietian was left speechless.

The women covered their mouths and laughed softly.

He continued leading them inward.

Just as they reached the deliberation hall, Xiao Zhan arrived, having rushed over after hearing the news.

"Father!"

Xiao Jietian called out, his voice filled with longing.

Though he was a transmigrator, after more than ten years together—and with Xiao Zhan being a truly responsible father—Xiao Jietian had fully accepted him as his own.

Xiao Zhan's tiger-like eyes reddened.

He stepped forward, patted Xiao Jietian's shoulder, and looked at his third son, now taller than himself.

After a long pause, he finally spoke.

"Tian'er, you've finally returned. Good, good, good. You've grown much sturdier."

Xiao Jietian hugged him tightly.

"Father, your son was unfilial and made you worry."

Xiao Zhan gently patted his back.

"Silly child. It's good that you're back. That's all that matters."

They separated.

Xiao Zhan then looked at the women behind Xiao Jietian. Seeing Ya Fei among them, he was surprised.

"Please forgive my manners. Esteemed guests, please come inside."

Inside the deliberation hall, everyone sat down. Maids served fragrant tea.

Xiao Jietian introduced them:

"Father, you already know Ya Fei. These are the Little Fairy Doctor, Qing Lin, and Yun Yun."

"They are all my wives."

"That makes them your daughters-in-law."

"This is Fei Yan."
