Chapter 329 - Chapter 28: Prank

True to her word, Miyamizu Mitsuha indeed did not let Mori Tsukisa meet her sister.

Back home again, Imhotep and Miyamizu Hitoha had already discussed all the necessary matters.

The price was acceptable.

"I will send Mitsuha to you soon."

The old woman seemed to know her granddaughter's long-standing aspirations, and coupled with her own age, she made this surprising decision for the girl without a second thought.

"R-really?! I'm going?!"

After all, signing contracts and such only required Imhotep to make a few more trips; in reality, by saying'send her over,' Hitoha just wanted her granddaughter to have a good time for a few days.

"It's you, Mitsuha. You can visit Miss Tsukisa on your day off." Miyamizu Hitoha turned her head: "Right, Miss Mori Tsukisa?"

"Of course, I welcome Mitsuha to come and play at my home!"

—It was only later that Miyamizu Hitoha realized her granddaughter had suddenly stopped resisting being a shrine maiden, and she dimly perceived that Mori Tsukisa might have said something.

All in all, this trip was quite interesting, and Mori Tsukisa had a lot of fun.

"Then we'll be off! Miyamizu Grandma, please take care of yourself!"

Miyamizu Hitoha waved her hand, letting Mitsuha and Yotsuha see them off. Along the way, the group bumped into Fujiwara Yuu, who had been waiting there.

"I knew you wouldn't specifically come to say hello." Yuu unhappily handed over a package: "Inside are your favorite dango, don't eat them all at once, your stomach can't handle it."

Mori Tsukisa nodded happily.

"Also, you actually wrote your contact information and address on the cloth tied to my Grandma's forehead!" Speaking of this, Fujiwara Yuu got furious: "She's not lucid, so she naturally wouldn't know—but you're a normal person, how could you do that! Those words are too strange!"

Arrietty: Normal person?

Thinking of this, Fujiwara Yuu got furious.

Her Grandma was a bit senile, which the townspeople all knew and understood. Occasionally, when the girl entertained guests, Grandma would sometimes sunbathe at the door, and even if she wandered off, neighbors would look after her—

But this couldn't stop Mori Tsukisa's extremely hidden mischief.

She wrote her contact information and address on the reverse side of Grandma's headscarf, inviting Fujiwara Yuu to visit her when she had time: there was nothing wrong with this, it was a rather romantic farewell; but... what did she write on the front?

"Those who bully Yuu and Grandma will wet the bed at night and be eaten by wild wolves if they go out."

This sentence wrapped around Grandma's headscarf.

Coincidentally, while Yuu was working, Grandma seemed to have nothing to do but wander around, circling the town... AHHHHHHHHHHH!!

Was she going to be socially dead?!

Mori Tsukisa chuckled, completely ignoring Fujiwara Yuu's furious expression: "I'm helping!"

"I should thank you, right?!"

"It's okay, we're friends."

Fujiwara Yuu huffed and rolled her eyes at her, then greeted Miyamizu Mitsuha and Yotsuha: "Don't think she looks cute, she's actually a black-hearted little lunatic!"

Regarding Fujiwara Yuu's warning, Miyamizu Mitsuha believed she had a deeper understanding of Mori Tsukisa than Yuu did.

More than that?

...While the tram was in motion... the subject of the two women's idle chatter had already arrived home and happily thrown herself onto her soft quilt (the dragon egg had been moved to a cushion in the room at Yuno's strong insistence...).

"Home is still the most comfortable place..."

"It seems like the one who's tired is Imhotep." After hiding "The Biography of Mori Tsukisa," Arrietty climbed onto the pillow, found a comfortable position, and lay down. "You didn't do anything."

The girl turned her head in surprise, her eyes full of grievance. "Me? I didn't do anything?"

Arrietty nodded expressionlessly. "So? What did you do?"

"Haven't I done enough? In your eyes, your Her Majesty the Queen didn't do a thing this trip, just played like a cute, beautiful, sexy little good-for-nothing, is that it?"

The aggrieved act couldn't make the Little Sprite, who saw through everything, give up her resistance. She smoothed her fiery long hair to the other side, tilted her head while propping it up with her hand, and spat out two words.

"Pretty much."

"I—"

"You pulled the tails of three cats and got bitten five times; you snapped the wooden decorations in front of two houses; you ate half a plate of takoyaki and secretly tucked away two to feed the cats; you took one of every pair of Fujiwara Yuu's socks and hid them under the pillow in Mitsuha's room at the Miyamizu house..."

Arrietty squinted at the stiff-faced Mori Tsukisa. "Do you want me to keep going?"

Mori Tsukisa grabbed the quilt and pulled it over her head!

The girl's muffled voice came from under the quilt. "I don't want to talk to you right now! Goodbye! I'm going to rest!"

"Why are you sleeping in the middle of the day? Get up, get up. Imhotep is still waiting to discuss the shrine with you."

The girl showed no sign of movement; instead, she pressed the quilt down even tighter.

Arrietty climbed up, sliding nimbly across the surface of the quilt, and quietly landed at the other end of the bed—the foot. Looking at the still motionless 'human-shaped object' in the distance, the Little Sprite pushed the quilt up gently with both hands... revealing a silver bell.

Then came emerald-green toenails... Sensing the air outside the quilt, the girl's soft foot retracted like a little white fish with a 'whoosh,' disappearing back into the quilt.

"Aieee! How could you do such a thing! Arrietty!"

Arrietty curled her lip. "Wasn't it you who hid all my clothes? It took me forever to find them in those books. Get up! Sen! Get! su! sa!"

The reluctant girl, unable to sleep due to the sprite's pestering, had no choice but to stick out her tongue and sit up, getting out of bed unwillingly.

"Hasn't Imhotep already handled everything?" she grumbled in a low voice.

"You can't just dump everything on him, Her Majesty the Queen. At the very least, you have to decide on the renovation style, right?"

Mori Tsukisa simply didn't care about the style, but Arrietty believed that was only because she hadn't yet encountered an Attendant with a hard-to-describe aesthetic. At least the current ones had quite good opinions on beauty.

That was why Mori Tsukisa dared to let them do as they pleased.

If it were that brother named Agamotto who lived in a pink space... "Let's go talk to Imhotep about the renovation!" Energy seemed to return to Mori Tsukisa in an instant. The high-spirited girl picked up the sneering Arrietty and ran out of the room barefoot.

Imhotep was sitting on the sofa chatting with Anck-Su-Namun. Seeing his My Lord running out with a jingle, the man unhurriedly let go of his lover's hand and pointed to the tablet computer on the table displaying images.

—It was still that abandoned shrine, still photos from those same angles.

Imhotep had taken them at some point, and then, after'slightly' editing them with software, presented them to Mori Tsukisa.

It was... a completely pink shrine.

Whether it was the beams or the roof, the walls or the stone path—

All! Was! Pink!

Realizing her 'prophecy' had seemingly come true, the girl's mouth turned downward, and she looked toward Arrietty in her palm with tears in her eyes—What should I do! I don't want to live inside an organ!!

Save me, Arrietty!

Nagini leaned against the kitchen door, snickering.

—This was the 'little operation' proposed by Anck-Su-Namun. For the first time, the Attendants had successfully pranked their Master.

This was all thanks to that black-hearted Enchantress... oh, the final step of her proposal was...

To take the mastermind behind the entire prank...

And pin the blame on Arrietty.
