Long ago, humanity did not operate with a specific system. People lived normally. No ranks, no powers, just life.
But then, something changed. Thousands of years ago, reality was damaged. A cosmic rupture opened somewhere beyond the planet. This event became known as: 'The Great Fracture of the Origin Layer.' When it occurred, space became unstable, unknown energy flooded the planet, monsters began mutating, dimensions weakened, gravity and mana became corrupted. This energy was not natural; it was an anomaly that forced the world to produce horrors. People disappeared, entire cities collapsed, and creatures evolved beyond the laws of natural biology.
Humanity teetered on the brink of extinction. To prevent total annihilation, the planet adapted to this alien energy, leading to the birth of Awakeners and the implementation of the Tier System.
The System exists to awaken human potential, rank survival capability, guide evolution, prepare humanity for future threats. The System does not choose favorites. It evaluates, It measures, and forces growth. People who cannot adapt are left behind.
Not every human can survive exposure to fractured energy. Only certain individuals developed an awakening compatibility.
These individuals become Awakeners--humans whose bodies adapt to the world's altered laws.
Their physiology evolve to survive corrupted energy. Awakeners gain enhanced physical ability, mana control, elemental affinity, combat instincts, spiritual growth, and unique traits. Some awakeners are weak. Others become living disasters.
The awakeners are not superheroes. They are humanity's defense force. Their task is to eliminate corrupted entities, protect cities, investigate spatial fractures, prevent monster outbreaks, explore forbidden zones, and stop dimensional corruption from spreading. Without awakeners, humanity would likely collapse.
The Tier system heirrachy determines how dangerous an individual is and not just strength, but overall capability. Tier use is classified into:
Tier 1-- Initiate
Average humans. Newly awakened individuals. Still adapting and very weak but slightly above normal humans. They have very low-mana output.
Tier 2 -- Low combatants
Trained awakeners. They can take on low monsters alone.
Tier 3-- Combatant
These are awakeners that are recognized as Frontline fighters and possesses specialized combat abilities.
Tier 4-- Veterans
Semi-superhuman. Trusted battlefield warrior. They can narrowly survive dangerous missions.
Tier 5-- Elite
These are highly respected awakeners, also capable of surviving dangerous missions.
Tier 6-- Vanguardian
Superhumans. Humanity's Frontline weapons. Often feared.
Tier 7-- Dominator
These are awakeners that are capable of changing battle outcomes alone.
Tier 8-- Emerald rank
These are awakeners that are extremely rare and are capable of anhilating an entire armies. They are known as legends.
Tier 9-- Sovereign
These kind of awakeners are near-mythical humans and are considered as national level threats.
Tier 10-- Transcendent
No longer fully human. Anyone reaching this tier are known as demi-humans or demi-gods who begins to influence reality. They scale to planetary-level threats.
Tier 11+-- Hidden Tier
Unknown. This tier is tied to cosmic entities, beings beyond planetary understanding.
The fractured energy reshaped everything. It split into two fundamental forces which are divine energy and chaos energy. The divine energy, is grouped into two which are Mana and the Jinkai energy. Mana is the basic and pure energy surrounding the planet. It could be manipulated by low--mid level awakeners who uses it for elementary and magic control. The Jinkai energy is a high source of spiritual energy meant for cultivation and is manipulated by high-level awakeners. Sometimes, mid level awakeners.
The chaos energy is a high abnormal dark energy source and is also divided into two which are dark mana and Wagi energy.
The dark mana is the corrupted pure mana converted into dark due to the negative emotions of humans. The Wagi energy is a high source dark primordial energy manipulated by dark entities, and demons. It is notoriously destructive and unstable.
The Great Fracture did not just break the sky; it broke the very concept of peace. But the Fracture is not static. The Origin Layer continues to groan under the pressure of the beyond, and the dimensional walls grow thinner with every passing century. The anomalies are becoming more frequent. The monsters are growing more intelligent.
The Tier System is no longer just a measure of status, it is a countdown. If humanity cannot produce enough transcendent beings to seal the rifts, the planet will eventually be fully consumed by the Chaos. In this new era, strength is the only currency, and adaptation is the only law.
