As Gible officially acknowledged Ethan, its information surfaced before his eyes.
Truthfully, Gible's overall kit was excellent.
Its Ability, Rough Skin, was a rare hidden ability.
Even more surprising was its move pool—especially Dragon Cheer.
Dragon Cheer was a Dragon-type support move that boosted battle spirit through a deep draconic roar.
If Dragon-type Pokémon were present, the effect doubled.
In simple terms, it was a team-wide buff.
In group battles, all allies would be strengthened—and Dragon-types like Tyrantrum would receive double benefits.
Looking at Gible, Ethan smiled.
"Welcome to the team, Gible."
"Gi–ma~"
After settling things with Gible, Ethan turned his gaze toward the other dragon.
Deino.
Also a Dragon-type—but very different from Gible.
Compared to Gible's lively nature, Deino was quiet and composed.
Although Deino's eyesight was poor, her hearing was extremely sharp.
The moment Ethan shifted his attention, she sensed it through subtle air movement.
She had listened carefully to Ethan's interaction with Gible.
She knew this human was acknowledged by her father.
And she was satisfied with how Ethan treated her younger brother.
Unlike most wild Deino, this one was calm and reserved—almost like a dragon princess.
She preferred quiet people.
Ethan's demeanor suited her well.
However—
She was not someone who could be swayed by a cheese flatbread.
Deino let out a low growl.
"Dei–nah!"
Ethan raised an eyebrow.
"You're… challenging me?"
Deino nodded firmly.
"Dei–nah!"
As the daughter of the Dragon Lord of Cloudpeak Dragon Valley, she would never follow someone she couldn't defeat.
She liked Ethan.
But if she were to truly submit, she needed proof.
Seeing this, Hydreigon let out an approving growl.
"Hydraaa~"
Clearly satisfied with her daughter's pride.
Nearby, Garchomp glanced at her own son—who had just been bribed away with food—and felt a sharp sense of disappointment.
Maybe this one's a failed build…
Ethan looked toward Dragonite, the Dragon Lord.
"Ba–woo~"
Dragonite agreed.
The battle was permitted—
As long as Ethan didn't send out anything too outrageous.
Clearly, Dragonite did not want to see Metagross involved.
Honestly, Dragonite himself was curious.
He wanted to see Ethan's battle command ability.
Victor Stone felt the same.
Training Pokémon was one thing—but a true Trainer proved themselves in battle.
A great Trainer could bring out 120% of a Pokémon's strength.
Ethan smiled and made an OK gesture.
Deino was far stronger than Gible.
Level 39, peak Elite tier—just two steps away from Commander level.
Hattrem would normally be suitable.
But Psychic-type moves against a Dark/Dragon Pokémon?
That would be suicide.
Marshtomp hadn't reached Elite tier yet.
Which left only one option.
"Then… I'll be counting on you."
"Come out—Tyrantrum!"
With a crisp chime, the Poké Ball opened.
A towering three-and-a-half-meter-tall Tyrantrum appeared in Cloudpeak Dragon Valley.
"ROAAAR—!"
This was Tyrantrum's first-ever battle.
The ancient Dragon roared with excitement.
The sound echoed across half the valley.
Instantly, countless Pokémon turned their heads.
"That is—"
"Wait… a Tyrantrum?!"
"Ethan, how do you have something like that?!"
Victor stared in disbelief.
Tyrantrum was a heavily regulated fossil Pokémon.
Even he didn't have the authority to casually obtain one.
Yet his son had one.
And it was enormous.
Ethan calmly explained Tyrantrum's origins.
"…So the Tyrunt escaped years ago… survived… evolved… and had offspring?"
Victor fell silent.
Seven years ago, a Tyrunt had indeed escaped from the National Paleontology Institute.
They had searched everywhere.
Eventually, it was presumed dead.
But now—
Not only had it survived, it had evolved… and reproduced.
Victor's expression grew complicated.
Tyrantrum didn't belong to this era.
Its combat power might not surpass modern Pokémon at the same tier—
But if Tyrantrum populations began spreading naturally…
That would be a serious ecological issue.
For now, Victor chose not to raise the topic.
Instead, he watched his son's Tyrantrum with intense interest.
He wanted to see—
Just how terrifying this ancient Dragon could be
in the hands of his increasingly mysterious son.
