Celine's pace faltered as she reached her door. She flinched, finding Leo standing there with a darkening expression. It was far too early for office hours to end. Even though Leo was the head of his company and could come and go as he pleased, his presence here felt utterly unexpected.
"It seems you've recovered quite well, Celine," Leo said. His voice was low and stiff, hinting at a suppressed rage behind his piercing gaze.
"As you can see," Celine replied curtly. She had no desire for an argument. Brushing past him, she walked into the room, ignoring his threatening stare as she shouldered her way through.
Leo didn't offer a verbal retort. He simply gave a small nod to the chef standing behind him. Obediently, the chef stepped inside, carrying a warming box filled with food.
"Good morning, almost afternoon, Miss," the chef greeted her politely.
