Before Lilac could so much as touch a single strand of Varkas's hair, Louis's gentle voice suddenly rang out—melodious, yet as if echoing up from hell itself.
Varkas's body, lying on the ground, seemed to tremble faintly before going completely still. At the same time, Lily's body exploded.
Fresh blood sprayed everywhere, drenching Lilac's entire body in an unimaginable stench. The whole room seemed to be dyed in a hideous, pitch-black hue.
Lilac's eyes trembled. He turned his head to look, but Louis was nowhere to be seen. Only the sound of wind echoed endlessly through the room, as if someone were moving at a speed so fast the naked eye could not perceive it.
Lilac looked around in panic, yet all he could see were Lily's shattered remains. And Varkas—Varkas had vanished from his sight as well!
His eyes reddened uncontrollably as he roared, "Impossible, that's impossible!"
