Gu Chenyu follows Lin Meiyin into the kitchen and then she stops and turns around, he stop right behind her and they collided.
"Why are you following me I told you Mr Gu doesn't have to worry" she said with a smile. Gu Chenyu looks at Lin Meiyin "Can you be quiet we're married Lin Meiyin look at this" he said raising up her hand showing her the ring on her finger. "We can just tell Master Bo that it's just a marriage on contract" she said. "Don't be ridiculous Lin Meiyin he's my godfather" said Gu Chenyu.
Lin Meiyin sneers "That's the worst part of it all, why are you everywhere nowadays" she whinned feeling like she was going crazy as she washes her hands. Gu Chenyu stands behind her "Lin Meiyin I am your husband get used to it, why are you feeling uncomfortable when I'm around"he said.
"Uncomfortable, if I say you're unbearable sometimes would you believe me" she said looking into his eyes. Gu Chenyu holds the side of the kitchen sink and then traps her again.
"And I can't bear you being so intimate with other men you act like I'm your problem" he said.
"You're just too hard to understand, I try to understand be comfortable with you but you push me away I'm thinking should I stay or I should go?" she said.
"If I tell you to stay would you stay?" His whisper rang in her ear. Lin Meiyin felt like a thousand ants were crawling on her body, he was literally seducing her again, "I can't even run away you won't let me by the way I owe you for giving my life a second chance if I leave I'll be coward and I don't want to be one" said Lin Meiyin with a helpless look. Gu Chenyu's hands traced her face Lin Meiyin's skin turned red "What are you doing Mr Gu?" She asked.
"Call me Chenyu " he said to her, his gaze deep.

"Okay Chenyu " she said to him, Gu Chenyu felt a bit satisfied. The way she addressed him was annoying it showed how far their relationship was, and how distant she was away from him. Gu Chenyu let go and he walked out of the kitchen, Lin Meiyin took a deep breath her pulse racing.
"We're just partners right you can't feel anything for him right what's this awkward feeling?" She asked herself. Lin Meiyin prepared a fast meal and Gu Chenyu walked into the kitchen again helping her set the dishes.
Master Bo was having a great time talking about the good old days and how he always competed with Fei Xu.
Lin Meiyin listened and took a sip of wine, Gu Chenyu looked at her and he took her glass.
"That's enough don't drink too much you'll get drunk" he said to her.
"Just one more" she said.
"This naughty the girl must have over drank" said Master Bo.
"Godfather I'll take her home" he said lifting Lin Meiyin who hits his hand. "I can walk on my own" she said standing up and she stumbled. "Don't listen to her she can be very stubborn take her away" said Master Bo. Gu Chenyu carries Lin Meiyin in his arms as she kept nagging at him, "You pervert put me down don't touch me"she said. Gu Chenyu puts Lin Meiyin in the car and then he buckles her seatbelt when she grabs his collar her eyes half closed. "Lin Meiyin we need to get home"he said.
"I like your eyes they remind me of the moon"she said biting her lips. She touches his face "Why are you so good looking?" She asked him. Gu Chenyu looked at her, and then takes away her hand he goes to the driver's seat, and looks at Lin Meiyin.
When they reach home Gu Chenyu puts her in the bathtub so she could wake up he turns on the cold water watching her shiver. "You're so mean" she said. Gu Chenyu ruffles her hair with a wide smile and he leaves the bathroom.
After some minutes Lin Meiyin sobered up and she wore her pajamas looking for Gu Chenyu he was in the courtyard. "You feel better?" he asked.
"I do but I can't sleep yet thank you for putting me in the shower" she said to him.
Gu Chenyu says nothing but only nods his head.
"You know what I see in your eyes when I look into them?" She said, Gu Chenyu turns at looks at her. "I see pain and loneliness, anger, fear, disappointment" said Lin Meiyin.
"It's there no need to hide it, you can stop looking at yourself that way it helps me sometimes I put all those in my music when I play it makes me feel refreshed " said Lin Meiyin. "Maybe you should find something to put all that bitterness inside you" said Lin Meiyin. Gu Chenyu looked at Lin Meiyin talking and he just kept staring at her his Adam's apple rolled slightly, "I don't blame you for what you did" she said, Gu Chenyu's brows furrowed and he looked at her asking her with his eyes what she meant.
"I mean the rumor, I know you don't like to talk about these things but I just wanted to say that I believe you and I trust you, even if you really did it, it would have been for a reason Gu Zihan is a scheming master always playing victim just like Lin Xuewei so I understand "said Lin Meiyin placing her small hand on his. The wind blew softly
"You don't need to see yourself as a bad person, you're a good person even if you shot your own father and brother there's still goodness inside of you" she said. Gu Chenyu looks at her " How do you know that I'm a good person" he asked.
"No matter how hard you see yourself as a bad person you still do some good things, we are partners and we are in this together, so don't feel like you're fighting alone " she said standing up and leaving.
Gu Chenyu watches her leave when did his little problem become so motivating.
"What is this awkward feeling?" He asked himself massaging his forehead.
Lin Meiyin lies down on the bed relaxing and she looks at the ceiling, she remembers when he kissed her the other day, her cheeks turn red and she plays with her fingers.
"Can my heart deserve a second chance to care for someone again?" she asked herself. Lin Meiyin bites her lips and tosses to the side on the bed, "I don't want to fall in love it would be a mistake, by the way it's a fake marriage contract Gu Chenyu just cares for me, because I'm his temporary responsibility " she said with a sigh.
"I don't know anymore " she said closing her eyes.
