We walked on the red carpet.
The Princess occasionally glanced at me beside her. Her frequent glances were slightly bothersome. I looked at the Princess, but she averted her gaze. I frowned.

The usual servants began to appear in the hallway. The men and women who had once looked down on the Princess had completely changed their demeanor. They bowed, offered greetings, and even praised her beauty.
I looked at the Princess beside me. She appeared very happy, evident from the corners of her lips. I was also happy for the success of her efforts over the past four years.
