"We're really walking?" asked John as we were now going near the mountains. "Well, we do really need to get in shape, John." I answered while smiling, Yeshua then looked at me and smiled. "But isn't biking the same?" asked Jaime. "And we'd arrive there a lot faster than walking," said Matthew.
Yeshua then turned around to face all of us who were following Him and began walking backwards. "Teacher, you could trip walking like that," said Andrew. "Let Him be, Andrew. He doesn't have four left feet like you," said Simon. "We walk as part of your learning. And to get all of you in shape as well." said Yeshua while He's still walking backwards. "What? We're in shape!" said John. "We carry buckets of caught fish everyday!" added Jaime.
And only half an hour later… "Are we there yet?" asked John. "No, John." answered Yeshua. "What?!" asked John shockingly. "I thought you're in shape, John?" teased Simon. "I-Iam!" answered John. "Then why does it sound like you're complaining?" teased Andrew as well. "No I'm not!" denied John with a pitchy voice. He's still in puberty so his voice is still developing.
An hour and a half later… "Are we close?" asked Jaime. "We're not even half way there." answered Matthew. "Are you serious?!" asked John shockingly. "What? You're puberty can't handle it?" teased Simon again. "I've already passed that!" said John. Andrew laughed. "As if it was a test to pass." said Andrew and both him and Simon laughed.
"Please… somebody… tell me we're close…" said John after an hour. We stayed quiet. "We're not?" asked John. "We're half way there, John," said Yeshua. Are we really? Yeshua nodded then looked at me with a smile. "What time is it?" asked Andrew. "It's uh-exactly one PM." answered Matthew. "That's why my stomach is talking to me," said Jaime.
As we walked a little further, we saw a house. "Let's go and eat there." said Yeshua as He faced us and began walking backwards again with a smile on His face. "Where?" asked John. "At the house nearby." answered Yeshua with a smile still. "Does that house have a cafeteria?" asked Simon, Yeshua shook His head in response. "Do you know the people who lived there, Teacher?" asked Andrew, Yeshua nodded, "I stopped at their house a couple times before." added Yeshua then He faced forward again.
As we came near the house, a young girl — about 5 or 6 years old, I think— got out of the house and ran towards Yeshua. "Yeshua!" called the girl gleefully then hugged Yeshua. Yeshua hugged her back and carried her while laughing. "How are you, little one?" asked Yeshua to the girl after He put her down and lowered Himself to look at her eye level. All of us stopped walking as we witnessed this encounter. "I'm so happy that you are back! I have so much to tell you!" said the little girl. "I can't wait to hear them." said Yeshua while still looking at the little girl.
The little girl giggled and took Yeshua's hand as she pulled Him closer to the house. The six of us looked at one another with shock tracing on our faces and followed them. "Ma! Pa! Yeshua's back!" yelled the girl, let go of Yeshua's hand and ran inside their house. All of us were left outside the door as we waited for the girl's parents.
"Yeshua! Thank God You are back again!" said the mother as she came near the door with a smile on her face. Yeshua chuckled. "Didn't think You'd be back so soon, Teacher! And with company as well!" said the Father as he stood beside the mother with a smile on his face as he looked at each one of us. "Yes, yes. I apologize for the short notice." said Yeshua to the married couple. "What? No need to apologize, Teacher! You are always welcome here! Along with your company!" said the Father of the little girl.
"Yeshua! Yeshua! Look!" said the little girl as she brought a bondpaper with drawings onto Yeshua with a huge smile on her face. Yeshua took the paper and smiled at it and looked back at the little girl. "What a beautiful drawing, Akiane." Yeshua said to the girl with a smile.
