Upon their return from their travels, Dumi instructed Winston to immediately go to his room, emphasizing the importance of him taking the entire day to recuperate. Walking toward the hotel door, Winston came across Annalise, who winked at him with a soft smile. Blushing, he watched Annalise get into her father's SUV and he watched the car peel away from the hotel front parking space, Winston entered the hotel and went straight to his room upon entering his, room he was surprised not to see his friend Oswin. Before he sat down on his bed, he wondered if Oswin was still training with Atlas Zebalini. Following a duration of time, and during the moment Winston was showering, Oswin entered, laboriously maneuvering his body to his half of the bed, and then gradually fell asleep. Upon exiting the shower, Winston let out a chuckle, as the sight of Oswin in that situation brought a slight smile and a chuckle to his face. Walking toward the balcony, he watched the city and some suburban street lights,
"This is the last week until the match. Am I truly ready to injure someone for what Dumi has said about this world of football being a brutal one. To think it's all about friendly competition."
Winston looked at the translucent screen in front of him as the same daily challenge flashed back and forth. With a heavy sigh, he walked inside and closed the sliding door. He sat on his bed the entire night without moving until morning. When he noticed Oswin preparing to wake up, Winston pretended to sleep. He had been doing this every time Oswin decided to sleep in their room.
Oswin let out a long grunt mixed with a yawn, he glanced at the other side of the room and Oswin asked, "Yo bro, you up?"
Pretending to stretch his limbs, Winston replied, "I am now,"
Sitting up straight, Oswin amusingly said, "Oh good, I was about to shake you like a madman, how was your day at the beach yesterday? Found any lady's numbers."
Winston shifted onto his backside and dramatically sighed, "I found so many and my phone is full of their numbers, while you were asleep one called me,"
He spun his head to express his surprise and then stated,
"haha very funny, Wis, for real, though, did you have fun at the beach?"
"Yeah, kinda, you know this is the last week until my match with Maximilian, and the stress made it hard for me to enjoy the beach,"
Oswin stood up, yawned, stretched his back, and said,
"Well, that's what Dumi was worried about, "I overheard Dumi and Atlas talking, and it turns out Atlas came up with the idea for a beach trip,"
"Figured as much, anyway, how's being trained by the legendary winger?"
"Agh!, so tiring, how do you keep it up? My muscles ache from a full day of training. But I have learned so much from him, he even helped me refine some techniques I have been struggling wit…," Oswin let out a long yawn, and continued, "are you coming to the ground today,"
As if he didn't know the answer to his question, Winston sat up and replied, "You know it, you can never over prepare,"
"Right, right, right, True that. By the way, how are things with that receptionist chick,"
"Oh, you mean Annalise, things are good. Although I haven't talked to her recently,"
It's important to set aside time for her; women value a partner who dedicates time to them. We can't leave without getting something, maybe a kiss or sex.
"Hahaha bro chill, I want to focus on the upcoming match right now,"
"I know, but Annalise will relieve your stress and the pressure you're feeling right now,"
They continued their conversation while alternating in taking showers, and they also continued their conversation on different topics on their way to the training ground; thanks to Oswin, Winston wasn't paying attention to the daily challenge and he temporarily forgot about the upcoming. Oswin was telling Winston about his stories of how he nearly died messing with a small-time gang girl, and how he visited a girl at night while her parents were asleep and belt lashes woke him up in the morning. He even showed Winston bruises on his right ribs. Of course,it's Winston couldn't contain himself; he died of laughter; these different stories were told until they reached the training ground.
After climbing the steps leading to the training ground, both Winston and Oswin were surprised to see both Dumi and Atlas on the training ground early, well, Winston was not surprised to see Dumi this early. Dumi was now used to being at the ground faster than Winston, but Oswin was, when they turn they looked at both of them, and Dumi said, "It's nice both of you enjoying yourselves, what's the joke?"
Oswin nonchalantly shrugged his shoulders and said, "Old men wouldn't understand,"
Dumi and Atlas shook their heads, and Atlas said, "You seem to forget we were young too,"
Dumi smiled at them and said, "They think courting women is something new, kid, we courted women since you were in diapers," The entire back-and-forth banter went on for a couple of minutes until. Atlas suggested they should start with training, this time they combined training Winston and Oswin. The first training was them focusing on delivering from different angles, the reason they wanted to combine the training was because Oswin wanted to help Winston. Oswin loved playing with Winston; their chemistry was like fire and air. They both have a big desire to be the best in their league and in the entire football world.
Winston suggested the first exercise, outside the box, they placed four mannequins representing defenders, the reason Winston suggested this one—it was because in the simulation he failed to cut behind the defense. Actually, he was slow to react now that his reaction has improved. He wanted to test it out, Oswin stood about forty meters away on the left side of the field on the cone. After the whistle sounded, Oswin ran twenty meters to the opposing cone, passing the ball to Winston. Winston then smoothly and quickly navigated past the mannequins, gently tapping the ball into the bottom right corner.
Looking at the two coaches who clapped their hands together, they seemed impressed by what they saw. Winston and Oswin switched roles throughout the day's practice session. On the training ground, Winston and Oswin seemed to be enjoying themselves non-stop. Once they concluded, Dumi took Winston aside to speak with him.
"Listen, kid, I think I have taught you all I know. Now everything is up to you, in these last four days, we will not train. You need to focus on training your mind to calm down. I suggest you take some time and visit the indoor pool and sauna,"
"And this time I am not playing. You need to take your body seriously, you don't want to injure yourself. Haruto is not around and he is expensive, so kid, look after yourself."
A sense of dread filled Winston's chest; he had always known this day would arrive, but its prematurity caught him off guard, a testament to how swiftly time seems to vanish when one is content. Holding his tears, Winston looked at Dumi and looked down. Dumi patted Winston's shoulder and said.
"Don't worry about it, kid, go hit the sauna. Lise told me about a private sauna located behind the hotel," with that Dumi waved at Winston while walking away.
Thank you, Dumi, I will never forget this kindness. It means a lot to me, I will make you proud.
Afterward, Winston went up the steps and navigated the lengthy hall toward the hotel's rear.
He saw a truly beautiful landscape upon his arrival at a wooden cabin located a short distance from the hotel. Everywhere you looked, there was green, manicured grass alongside concrete tile walkways. Additionally, a fountain is present, complete with a Roman statue of a man pouring water. The cabin he entered was surprisingly empty. After pouring water, he noticed the core warning him.
