Jordan is sitting at a black table, with his classmates in a number of four and while he's enjoying the summer breeze under the tall tree, a group of 3 girls walk by but he can't see any of the girl's faces because of the sun that is shining right through his eyes. Like always, he exits the conversation and focuses on the girls, after they walk by, the girl in a middle catches his attention.
"Don't do it", his best friend, Theo, says with laughter, Jordan looks at him and nods, he turns around again to get another look at the girl in the middle, the girls arrive at a table and they take their seats. As soon as they sit down, Jordan gets a clear look at the girl in a black jacket, his classmates realize that he's now turned the other way, facing the three girls, "You just don't get enough huh?", Theo asks with a confused look.
Jordan laughs and grabs his stuff, "I think I've met the girl of my dreams", he said while he adjusted the collar of his blue shirt, the gents laugh as if he's said a joke, he looks at the gents and nods, "I'm serious", he said, walking away from the table.
He tucked his bag into his right shoulder and then he walked towards the girls, two of the girls seemed to be in an interesting conversation, until he interrupted. "Ladies, sorry to disturb y'all..", the girls look at him first, as if they checking up a list of qualities on him by looking at him from feet to head.
He confidently stares at the reason for his introduction, she takes a quick look at him and then she immediately gets back to her phone, as if she didn't even see him. He smiles, "How can we help?", one of the girls asks with a curious look, he rubs his thumb on his bottom lip, then he flips his lip under his teeth, "Actually, I'm here for her", he said, pointing at the uninterested girl.
"Lisa?", the other friend asks and then she chuckles, he twist his head a bit, trying to understand what's that chuckle for. Lisa looks up at him, "Me?", she asks with confusion, she puts her pink phone on the table, finally, he has her attention.
"I'm Jordan, can I have a few minutes of your time?", he says with a deep gaze into her hazel eyes, they glow brighter when she points her pretty caramel face to the sun.
She shakes her head, "Why?", she asked rudely, he cleared his throat and leaned on the table with his veiny hands, "Just a moment, please?", he said, she stood up and they walked to an empty table nearby. She grabbed a seat and so did he, usually the college is packed around lunch but I guess today is a different scene.
He clears his throat again, "Can we do something that's never been done before?", he asked with a smile, she smiles back at him and asks, "Huh? What do you mean?".
"I see that your friends weren't including you in their conversation, why don't we break the usual cycle and have lunch together?", he asked with a charming eye contact, she looks at her friends and they're still babbling, she chuckles and looked at him, "I'm sorry, I don't eat with strangers", she said.
He chuckles, "Well you already know my name, I know yours, I'm a mechanical engineering student, I live 15 minutes away from the campus, I don't have a girlfriend nor a child and I'm 21", he said with a silly smile at the end.
She rolled her eyes and asked, "I guess that's supposed to make you somebody who's not a stranger anymore?", he laughed, looking at his feet, he nods and adds, "Oh, and I'm not a serial killer nor a psycho", he smiles while he catches a warm moment with her.
"Well.. I'm Lisa, I live 30 minutes away from the campus, I am studying electrical engineering and I'm 21, single with zero kids", she said with a smile. She's breathtakingly beautiful, her jeans are fitting tight on her thick thighs and her jacket is cropped, just above her slim waist, her hazel eyes go well with the purple short hair.
He reaches out for a handshake, "Nice to meet you Lisa", he said as he welcomes her hand, "Nice to meet you too, Jordan", she said with a warm smile, "What about that lunch?", he asks as he places his other hand on her hand, she gasps and sighs deeply, she pulls her hand back into her jacket, "Next time", she said and then she walked away from the table.
Jordan is sitting there, watching her as she walks away, before he stands up, his friend, Theo comes to the table, "Sit down tiger. Why didn't you get her number?", he asked. Jordan smiled and said, "She doesn't fuck with me", looking at her from his table, she's simply unbothered and focused on her phone.
"You got a lot of girls in this campus, so you're good", Theo said with a rub on Jordan's shoulder, he nods and looks at Theo. "Boy, she got hazel eyes, when she smiles, it's like a sun set after a summer rain. When she sits down, her jeans hold her hips tight and when she walks, it's like I'm watching the prettiest girl in a runway . That's the girl of my dreams, mark my words", he said with a smile, like a little kid in a candy store.
Theo almost dropped his jaw to the floor, in disbelief of what his best friend is saying.

Saturday, the following day. The college is having a basketball game with another college, everybody is wearing either shorts or a skirt and a vest, drinking something in a plastic cup, under this hot summer weather.
Jordan is sitting on the second row from the floor, playing the third wheel to Theo and his girlfriend, Emily. He focuses on the game while he enjoys the spicy popcorn, on his left side, there's two empty red seats and just when the game is about to start, Lisa and her friend, Zara take the empty seats. Lisa sits next to Jordan and none of them recognize each other, because Jordan is focusing on the game and Lisa is listening to what Zara is saying.
Suddenly he feels Theo pinching his arm, "What?", he asks. "Guess who's sitting next to you? Don't look!", Theo says and then he whispered, "The girl of your dreams is sitting right next you". Jordan's eyes grew bigger as he couldn't believe the words Theo is whispering in his ear, he keeps calm and sits back in his seat.
He looks to his left side, "I guess what's meant for you finds you", he said, looking at Lisa from feet to head, she looked at him with shock, she blushed and said, "I swear I'm not a stalker", he smiled and leaned close to her ear, "Mama I wouldn't mind if you were", he whispered.
She bit her bottom lip with a smile, she nodded her head sideways and looked at him sit back into his chair, "I'm just here to chill and watch the game", she said. He smiled and said no word, she went back to watching the game but Jordan couldn't get his eyes off of her, even if he could only see her side view.
"You're gonna keep gawking at me, or watch the game?", she asked with a smile, a moment before she turns her head to look into his eyes, he chuckles nervously as soon as she faces him, "I'm just admiring beauty", he said with a smile.
She smiled, "Oh you adore me?", she asked while she grabs the popcorns' bucket from his hand, he looks at her again, from the brown silky skirt to the brown cropped shirt, "Let's watch the game and talk later", she added as she poured more popcorn into his bucket, they watched the rest of the game.

The game is over now, Jordan's college team took the win and most students are taking their celebration to a local park, with some drinks and music, while everybody is walking out of the field. Theo and Emily left Jordan behind, Zara and Lisa stood up to catch up with everybody.
Jordan grabbed his bag and walked to the opposite direction, "Hey!", Lisa shouted while Zara kept talking to her phone, Jordan turned around to watch Lisa walking towards him, just like most romantic movies, Jordan enjoyed the scene as if it appears in slow motion to his eyes.
She arrived and stood a step away from him, "You're not going to celebrate?", she asked curiously, he shook his head and said, "I'm a bit down, so I'm gonna go back home and rest". Lisa looked at Zara walking further, then she looked at him with her beautiful eyes, he cleared his throat, "Can you walk me home?", she asked him before he could speak.
He looked at her with disbelief in his eyes, "Huh?", he asked, she laughed and said, "Come on, it's just a walk, I need a new friend anyway", he chuckled and said, "And you think that I will be..", he paused and refrained, "Let's go", he said with a smile.
Here they are, strolling beautifully and unbothered, "Tell me about yourself", Jordan said, looking at the cars driving by, she sighed and said, "Well, I'm new here, I love swimming more than anything, I listen to a lot of hip-hop and I hate romantic movies, I love cooking, I love ice-cream..", she paused when she realized that Jordan is smiling with adoration while he listens to her.
"What?", she asked, he looked at her and said, "Nothing, keep going", she rolled her eyes and said, "Tell me about yourself", he scoffed and looked at her, "What?", she asked again, he tilted his head to his shoulder for a second before he answered, "Out of every girl that I've met, nobody has ever asked me to tell them about myself", he said with a smile.
She walked closer to his side and put her hand on his back, rubbing him side to side, "I'm sorry, that's a shame", she said with sarcasm, he chuckled and laughed, walking away from her for a moment and then he got back in position, they kept walking.
"Uhm, damn. Where do I start? I grew up here, I love music and cars, I drive almost every damn chance I get, I love to have fun.. a lot", he said with a chuckle. She smiled and slowed down, he stopped and looked back, "This is where I live", she said, pointing at a big student residency of multiple rooms with two floors, maybe 15 rooms in each floor.
He looked at her, in fact, he stared at her a few steps away, she stepped closer to him as if she's known him longer than 2 days, "Thank you for the walk", she said with a smile, he looked into her eyes, as if he's looking into her soul, "Give me your number, I wanna talk to you before I sleep", he said without looking away, "I thought you wouldn't ask", she said with a soft giggle.
He handed his phone over to her, she dialed in her phone number and then she gave it back to him, she walked away without saying anything, he put his phone in his pocket while he enjoyed the pleasure of watching her walk away.
