Chapter 3 - ENTITY-002

DREAM LEVEL: Yellow (Harmful)

Basic Principles

ENTITY-002 is not meant to be approached. Only the Detect principle is approved for standard interaction. Direct contact is not advised under any circumstance. The safest method of research is observation only. Members of the Adaptable or Resistors groups may engage if necessary, but only for defensive purposes.

In the event of injury or infection, the wounded individual must be terminated immediately. The infection spreads rapidly and bypasses all known protective gear. Any delay increases the risk to the entire group. Once the infected individual is eliminated, all remaining personnel must retreat. This is required to prevent disturbing ENTITY-002. If the entity remains calm and passive, further spread is less likely.

The Dead Area must remain cold at all times. Increased temperature causes distress in ENTITY-002 and may trigger hostile behavior.

Personnel Requirements

A minimum of one researcher and two soldiers are required for any operation involving ENTITY-002. All personnel must remain calm to avoid triggering the entity. The researcher is responsible for studying movement, behavior, and any visible changes or new developments. Of the two soldiers, one is assigned for engagement and the other for defense. Emotional instability or panic significantly increases the chance of provoking ENTITY-002.

Access Restrictions

Personnel with IDs beginning from 333-████ to 000-████ are not permitted near ENTITY-002 under any circumstances, regardless of reason or clearance claim. If a lower-level individual enters the Dead Area unintentionally, they must immediately locate higher-level staff for escort. Refusal to comply will result in a single warning.

If refusal continues, D.E.A.D. will not intervene further. Protection and medical support will be denied, and the individual will be considered responsible for their own outcome. If the individual survives and exits the Dead Area, a mandatory body inspection will be conducted. Any signs of peeling skin, swollen eyes, or extreme coughing will result in immediate execution. The body will then be returned to the Dead Area.

Appearance

ENTITY-002 resembles a human form with severe physical distortion. Its flesh is exposed, and its head is elongated vertically while remaining tilted to the side. The entity has no facial features. Instead, a single large eyeball occupies the position of the face. Its stomach functions as a mouth, resembling a human mouth in shape. The arms are long, and the body is extremely skinny, with bones clearly visible.

On its back are open holes that continuously release toxins. These toxins affect living humans but do not impact the dead. Any form of contact with ENTITY-002, including skin contact, spit, or minimal exposure to its toxins, results in infection.

Symptoms include peeling skin, swollen eyes, and extreme coughing. If the infection continues, the victim may begin to resemble ENTITY-002. In such cases, the subject should be abandoned in the Dead Area. The main entity has an open hole in its forehead, revealing nothing inside.

ENTITY-002 is usually passive and ignores humans. However, if provoked in any way, it may attack. The entity does not appear to require food and is believed to be capable of existing indefinitely.

Behavior Notes

Multiple versions of ENTITY-002 have been reported outside its designated Dead Area. Numerous infections have occurred as a result. All confirmed cases have been terminated, but new reports continue due to limited monitoring capabilities.

Attempts to kill the main ENTITY-002 have been unsuccessful. Physical attacks consistently result in infection of the attacker, regardless of protective measures.

REPORT — JULY 6, 2025

This report documents the initial discovery of ENTITY-002. In the southern region, where red sky conditions are common, several individuals became infected. Symptoms lasted up to three months and caused constant pain. When a mimicker returned to the living world, the infection remained active and spread throughout the D.E.A.D. laboratory.

Engagers responded quickly and eliminated most infected individuals, though a small percentage remained. This incident drew the attention of higher-ups, leading to further investigation through interviews with dead individuals in the south.

A D.E.A.D. military unit was deployed, led by Squad Leader Owen Geoff. Upon arrival, all infected individuals were terminated. At the time, it was not known that the dead could not be infected. Despite this, all infected subjects were killed, including children.

The unit eventually located the main entity, later designated ENTITY-002. During the encounter, the entity was provoked, resulting in approximately two hundred deaths. Owen Geoff survived and managed to calm the entity by avoiding its domain. He then issued an order restricting access to ID Level 0005 and above only.

Post-Mission Notes

Following mission completion, several soldiers underwent inspection and were executed due to infection. Over time, ENTITY-002's flesh hardened, increasing its resistance to damage. As a result, Squad Leader Owen Geoff formally requested the entity be classified as Yellow (Harmful).

The red sky region was officially designated as a Dead Area. Lower ID levels were denied access. If refusal occurred, personnel were allowed to wander the area without support or intervention.
