"Um, may I ask who you are?"

Amakusa Touma rubbed his hands together, forcing a flattering smile.

He watched Hiro support Mariya Yuri's unconscious body, not daring to voice any objection.

I don't know who this young man is, but for him to have a Campione as his maid, there must be an unimaginable background behind it.

An Oriental appearance, but not necessarily Japanese.

I need to be careful not to offend him.

Hiro tightened his grip slightly, drawing the unconscious Mariya Yuri closer to himself. He looked at the flattering middle-aged man nearby and smiled coldly.

If possible, use this young man to influence the new King's judgment.

So this is the level of confidence of an agent from the History Compilation Committee.

Amakusa Touma's smile froze after only a few seconds, shattered by Hiro's single sentence.

Mind reading? I've never heard of such sorcery.

Could it be that this person is the true Seventh King, and the maid is truly just a maid?

From the brief spiritual vision earlier, Amakusa Touma had heard at least five divine names.

If the interrupted one was included, that made six deities. Without any information circulating, how could this be possible?

Suddenly, he recalled the battle of the Heretic Gods on the island of Sardinia a few days ago.

Even from over a hundred kilometers away, the spectacle had been visible. It was absurdly exaggerated.

And the "God-King Melqart" Mariya Yuri mentioned earlier was a well-known Sardinian deity.

So the new King must have been born at that time.

And my current thoughts probably aren't hidden from him either.

"Forget it. I have nothing more to say to you."

Hiro glanced at the scruffy middle-aged man whose thoughts were spiraling, lifted Mariya Yuri, and walked toward the nearby annex.

The main hall of the shrine was reserved for the gods. Ordinary shrine maidens could only live in annexes or similar buildings.

He went that way because he sensed Mariya Hikari there.

"Go back and tell the History Compilation Committee behind you. Don't let people hover around me without reason. Otherwise, I wouldn't mind turning the entire Committee into my toy."

Hiro held no favorable impression of Amakusa Touma or the History Compilation Committee. In his view, they were perhaps even worse than the reckless magic societies in Italy.

Still, he had no intention of reissuing Erica's mission.

First, it wasn't necessary.

Second, the History Compilation Committee didn't possess a divine tool like the "Snake." They weren't worth his attention.

As for that "divine descent"-like ability, it also had its limits.

Fine.

"Yes!"

Amakusa Touma wanted to refuse and ask more questions, but horror surged through him.

He had completely lost control of his body.

He could only kneel on one knee, gaze at the stone path below, and face the retreating figure in the distance as his mouth spoke respectfully on its own.

It was mind reading before. Now he's directly manipulating a person's body.

He only became a Campione a few days ago, yet he's already mastered such a terrifying Authority.

And the new King doesn't seem easy to deal with. He's especially interested in Mariya.

If Mariya were to lose her innocence because of this-inside this very shrine-that would be disastrous.

Just imagining the Hime Miko who serves "Susanoo-no-Mikoto" willingly having something happen with a Campione who might have slain another god, right here...

Amakusa Touma could already picture how furious the old man secluded in the Otherworld would be.

He wanted to stop Hiro. To dissuade him.

But under the "Might of the Campione," he couldn't even struggle.

All he could do was watch as his body stood up, turned around, and walked back along the path he came from.

"Is the birth of the Seventh King going to bring disaster to our nation first? What should I do?"

Frowning deeply, Amakusa Touma let out a helpless sigh and gave up resisting.

Yielding to "his own" intention, he left the shrine grounds, got into his car, and drove toward the History Compilation Committee headquarters in central New Tokyo.

"Is her endurance stronger, or did she simply see less than Lucrezia?"

Sensing that Mariya Yuri's body was unharmed, Hiro placed her on the tatami in front of him and muttered quietly.

Perhaps out of curiosity about the shrine, Amaterasu was wandering near the main hall.

Grayfia stood dutifully at the entrance, unsure whether she was there to keep watch, to serve her master at a moment's notice, or for some other reason entirely.

"Hm?"

With no real damage done, Mariya Yuri woke up just two seconds after Hiro set her down.

Confusion flickered in her eyes. She hadn't fully regained her senses.

"Mariya Yuri."

The unfamiliar male voice made her shoulders jerk violently.

She scrambled up from the tatami and turned toward the voice.

Then her eyes widened.

"God-God-God Master!"

God Master?

Hiro raised an eyebrow at how she addressed him.

So the deity enshrined here isn't Amaterasu Ōmikami, but her brother, Susanoo-no-Mikoto.

He had already added the "Susanoo-no-Mikoto" Spirit Grade to his Susanoo. In that sense, he could indeed be called Susanoo-no-Mikoto.

And unlike the old man hiding in the Otherworld, he wasn't a Heretic God.

He was a more authentic Susanoo-no-Mikoto.

Before Hiro could speak, Mariya Yuri snapped back to herself.

Her loose, conservative shrine maiden garments swayed slightly as she dropped to her knees in a proper prostration.

"God Master, I, the humble shrine maiden Mariya Yuri, have faithfully worshipped you since childhood. I take pride in dedicating myself to you one day. I have not slackened for even a moment."

Hearing those words, Hiro's mouth twitched.

He asked with a strange expression, "Dedicating yourself?"

Since the object of dedication is the god she serves, that would count as holy devotion.

You really are something.

"Yes! If God Master has any doubts, you may personally verify it!"

As she spoke, Mariya Yuri made a small movement with her hand.

It seems the rumor that a Hime Miko loses her power upon losing her innocence is false.

At least, in the original ending, Mariya Yuri had already graduated, and there was no mention of her powers disappearing.
