Adelaide carried a box of Flobberworms back into the house. Dumbledore was clearly determined to keep her quiet for a while to balance The Chosen One's development—but he underestimated Adelaide far too much.
As the saying goes, "Everything has its use." Even low-level creatures as seemingly unremarkable as Flobberworms are not entirely useless.
At least one point is worth mentioning: Flobberworms are among the very few creatures that can still be affected by and respond to the Summoning Charm even while alive.
With just this point, Adelaide could work wonders with them.
Adelaide secretly plotted a plan. She skillfully used the excuse of researching how to better raise Flobberworms to successfully get away from Hermione and Alice.
Adelaide had already noticed that the two girls felt a deep aversion to Flobberworms. Ever since she started keeping those "cute" little worms in her room, Hermione and Alice, who used to clamor every night to have a "Girls' Night" in her room, had now completely vanished!
This unexpected change actually gave Adelaide a few days of peace and quiet, which made her like these Flobberworms even more.
After confirming that the two were lost in cartoons and textbooks respectively and wouldn't come looking for her anytime soon, Adelaide quickly locked her door. Then, she rubbed the Sapphire Ring on her finger, and in the blink of an eye, she was teleported inside the Enchantment in Iceland.
She had been pestered so much by Hermione lately that she hadn't been to Iceland in a long time.
Standing on this open land, Adelaide took a deep breath and began to seriously think about and plan the upcoming land use.
Her gaze first fell on the previously designated planting area, where various hybrid vines were still growing. However, since the Ministry of Magic had issued a ban, these hybrid vines were useless for the time being. She decided to clear them out completely to make room for new research projects.
After casting Protego Totalum on herself, Adelaide cautiously stepped into the planting area, carefully collecting the seeds of several mutated vine-like plants that had already matured—these were the fruits of her hard work in breeding, so she had to keep some backups.
She treated every seed like a treasure, placing them into a special cloth bag and labeling them with their variety names.
After completing this task, she ruthlessly waved her wand and cleared away all the original plants in the planting area.
She had harvested quite a few mutated magic beans seeds, over three hundred in total. Adelaide scratched her head and decided to use them to enhance the security of the Enchantment.
She took some mutated magic beans seeds and scattered them evenly in a circle along the edge of the Enchantment. After doing this, she didn't give these magic beans seeds any extra care or attention, instead letting them grow slowly on this land by their own tenacious vitality.
She only needed to wait patiently for a few months, and this paradise-like Icelandic Barrier would gain a brand-new and powerful layer of protection.
Although the inside of the Enchantment was already safe enough at this stage, the far-sighted Adelaide knew the importance of "preparing for danger in times of peace." This was her final trump card, and any measure that could improve security was more than welcome.
Having cleared the site, Adelaide used the cozy little wooden cabin she lived in as the core, skillfully dividing the surrounding open land into four areas for future arrangements.
The top-left corner was the planting area dedicated to growing various mutated crops. She planned to hybridize some magical plants with specific traits as fodder for the Flobberworms—they ate almost any plant, so Adelaide didn't need to worry about the taste; she just needed to find a way to let the magical plant fodder enhance their strength.
Adjacent to the planting area in the bottom-right corner was the forest area. Adelaide planned to plant a large number of ordinary trees there for timber collection and to serve as a home for Bowtruckles. She also planned to capture or purchase a batch of fairy eggs to place in the forest area as food for the Bowtruckles.
She intended to have the Bowtruckles help her look after the forest and planting areas, so she wouldn't have to worry about maintaining them when she got busy later.
In the top-right corner, she planned to lay out a magical creature breeding area. She intended to surround this area with sturdy fences in the future, collect several powerful magical creatures, and find ways to hybridize them with Flobberworms.
She might have to consult Hagrid about this after school started. She remembered that Hagrid had successfully hybridized a Manticore with sixty Fire Crabs to create Blast-Ended Skrewts. His ability in hybridizing magical creatures should be superior to that of Professor Kettleburn.
The final area was part of her grand blueprint—the water zone.
To this end, she planned to use blasting methods to blow open a massive pit and then fill it with water to build an artificial lake.
Although there was no ready-made water source around the Enchantment, it was surrounded by many towering snow-capped mountains, which undoubtedly provided the possibility of realizing her plan.
Before this, she had already conducted an experiment herself and was pleasantly surprised to find that she could pass through the Enchantment. However, once she stepped outside, she could no longer return to the inside by simply passing through it.
Adelaide planned to step out of the Enchantment, gather snow into giant snowballs, and then teleport back inside with them, throwing the snowballs into the pit to let them melt into snowmelt and form a lake.

No sooner said than done. Adelaide cast a Temperature-Regulating Charm on herself and took out the 12th birthday present Armandina had given her—a brand-new Nimbus 2000. She hopped on the broom, gave a sharp kick off the ground, and zoomed away.
It had to be said that the speed and performance of this Nimbus 2000 were hundreds of times better than the school brooms she rode. In just a few minutes, she reached the peak of a snow mountain. Using her wand, she directed the snow to float and compress into a giant snowball over ten meters in diameter. Then, Adelaide teleported back inside the Enchantment with the snowball and her broom, dropping the snowball into the deep pit.
Next was to keep repeating this set of actions until the snowballs filled the deep pit.
Four hours later, Adelaide stood up shakily and put away the Nimbus 2000. There was already enough snow in the deep pit; the remaining work was to wait a few days for it to melt, and then she could start aquaculture after purifying the snowmelt.
