Chapter 8: Into the Unknown
Maya said in a teasing, playful tone, "Well done… my boy doll."
She was standing very close to Vansh. With one hand, she grabbed his cheeks and squeezed them.
Mohini spoke in a calm but serious tone, "Leave him… he is not your toy."
Maya didn't stop. She squeezed Vansh's cheeks even tighter and chuckled.
Vaibhavi, Ritika, Ayush, Sakshi, Saavi, Aarav, and Yash all wanted to help Vansh, but none of them interfered. They all knew what Maya was capable of if they did.
Mohini spoke again, her voice colder this time.
"I said… leave him."
Maya smiled blankly and rolled her eyes. Her face showed clear irritation. She finally removed her hand from Vansh's cheeks and said in an irritated and disappointed tone,
"Fine… big sis."
Vansh's expression became irritated as he rubbed his cheeks.
Mohini glared at Maya.
Then her eyes shifted toward Vansh, and she spoke in a calm, normal tone.
"Well, you may have solved this case… but in the future there will be much more brutal and darker cases."
Ayush thought, (What?!!)
Sakshi's body turned cold.
Saavi's heartbeat suddenly spiked.
Aarav thought with fear, (How dark and brutal is she talking about?)
Yash thought with frustration, (Why do we have to do this? We were living simple lives… and suddenly this is happening.)
Ritika thought fearfully, (No… no… no!!)
Vaibhavi burst out in rage.
"We are not going to do anything—"
Suddenly someone covered Vaibhavi's mouth. She looked back. It was Yash. He didn't want Vaibhavi to get into trouble. After a moment, Yash slowly removed his hand.
Mohini continued,
"The spirits of the Spirit Realm are trapped by their own guilt, fear, and trauma. To give them liberation… you must form an emotional bond with them and counsel them, just like Vansh did."
She paused for a moment before continuing.
"Now all of you will go to our world, in the year 2025. You will take admission in J.W. High School."
Vansh spoke in panic.
"What?! Are you kidding? We don't even have parents there! How are we supposed to take admission? And why are you sending us there?"
Before Vansh or anyone else could react—
Mohini snapped her fingers and said in a cold tone,
" find yourself "
In an instant, everyone was teleported into another world.
Their vision turned completely black.

They all slowly woke up and looked around.
The atmosphere felt like the monsoon season. Dark clouds covered the sky. It was evening.
Vansh said in frustration,
"damm it..they did it."
Vaibhavi and Ritika looked around.
Yash's face showed frustration.
Aarav looked at everyone, surprised by the new environment.
Ayush's heart spiked because of what had suddenly happened.
Sakshi held Ayush's hand and clung to him. She panicked because of the sudden change.
Saavi was sitting beside Aarav, and she slowly looked around.
Vansh stood up, and the others also stood up.
Yash said in an irritated tone,
"littery zero Civic sense...they didn't answer your questions."
Vansh looked around. He realized they were in an open ground.
Then he saw a building far away from them. They couldn't see it clearly, but it looked big.
Suddenly, light rain started.
Vaibhavi looked irritated and said,
"now this !!"
The rain became heavier.
Vansh said in an urgent tone,
"I think we should go towards that building."
Everyone nodded and ran toward the building.
When Vansh looked at the board of the building, he saw it was an orphan.
They all quickly entered the building.
Thunder echoed in the sky.
The rain became even heavier, and the wind started blowing strongly.
They all took deep breaths because they were exhausted from running.
Suddenly, the electricity in the building went out, and the door locked automatically.
They all fell silent. Only the sound of their breathing could be heard.
Ritika held Vaibhavi's hand and said in a panicked tone,
"what we should do now..we can't go out...an...and we can't stay here in this darkness."
Vaibhavi held Ritika tightly.
Saavi suddenly held Aarav's hand and clung to him.
Aarav also held her tightly and enjoyed her touch. He had been missing this for a long time because Saavi had been angry with him, but now she was holding his hand.
Sakshi was already holding Ayush's hand, but this time she grabbed Ayush's hand tightly.
Ayush took long breaths to calm himself.
Vansh said in a calm but serious tone,
"I thik we should search for someone...before we entered I show board of building this building is of orphan and there was electricity before mean there will be people who live here."
Everyone nodded, but they were slightly scared as well.
They slowly moved through the halls.
Suddenly Ayush's leg got tangled with something, and he fell on the floor with Sakshi.
Everyone stopped and looked back.
They all got shocked.
Their hearts stopped for a second.
