Those voices in his head clinged onto him like nightmares.
Unexplanatory, it was driving him slowly insane from the trauma he was gaining.
His trust slowly reduced.
He became aware of the dangers that reek onto the Mansion.
Then – a silver-white facade of hair took his attention, an half-elf who has been with him for very much just days ago when he passed out from being cut in the chest.
"Subaru-kun!, how are you feeling?"
Her calm demeanor relaxed Subaru for a moment, as he replied back with a warm smile in his face.
"Oh!, Emilia-tan... good morning today..."
She also smiled back towards him, her face just brighting up onto the sun, Subaru's love for her felt like it was going to last forever.
"Yes, good morning, but you do seem off today."
Subaru's warm smile faded almost instantly.
"–I seem off?"
Pointing himself, Emilia nodded.
"Yeah, it's detecting like certain weird behaviours from you."
He chuckled hesitantly, scratching the back of his head.
"Right, you see... i'm just amazed on how cute you are Emilia-tan!, i can't think about anything but you!"
Emilia chuckled playfully by Subaru's flirtatious attitude, but already noticed by her miasma that he wasn't telling both truth and lies, nevertheless, she cannot figure out what he was feeling – even puck could also say the same.
"Uh-huh... i'm flattered, but are you sure... that you are okay?"
Subaru patted Emilia's shoulder gently.
"–I'm fine."
But she always knew, Subaru wasn't always having a very good time for his mental status, infact – she could even barley know what Subaru is going through, whether it's painful or something far worse. Subaru's face was filled with dread, not knowing how to respond or to counter his own ability of his, with the endless future that held onto him, Subaru couldn't grasp but what could be possibly do to ever be happy about everything.
Even with Emilia, he couldn't grasp of the reality he was currently facing – recalling every single death he went in, one by one, it silently drove him insane, a far worse version of himself that he couldn't handle. As he was starting to go off into his mind, Emilia jumps in and puts two warm hands Subaru's back.
"Subaru-kun!, are you okay?"
He snapped back to his own self, lifting his head and tilting it towards her shining face.
"Emilia-tan..."
"Yes?, what's wrong Subaru-ku..."
He broke down in tears on her lap, surprising her and making her worried about him, she patted his head gently.
"Subaru-kun... that's so unexpected, what's gotten into you all of the sudden?, do you have a headache?, or a stomach ache?, or a–"
He just teared up, his cries was seriously sympathetic, that even the Pink short-haired maid girl noticed and rushed towards them while holding cutting shears.
"It seems like Barusu hasn't been doing so well, but him into his own room, he'll eventually calm down once it becomes the perfect condition for him to be relaxed."
"Right, i'll lift him!"
Using her determination and courage to lift Subaru by force, she walked towards the entrance to the mansion and walked in the spiral staircase, the walking felt endless as Emilia got tired and exhausted from all of this walking upstairs, until finally she came into the right floor and in the right hallway, she opened the unsual fancy wooden door, and there was the queen sized bed where Subaru sleeps and relaxes.
"Alright Subaru-kun, rest well."
She said softly, as she puts down Subaru onto the bed, and gave him a gentle pat in the head before walking off and closing the door into the room.
