~Soutarou POV~
After finally completing the Rasengan, Soutarou had literally passed out on the spot, which almost made him late. Luckily Tsunade, who had just come back from a mission, and Mito found him in time and dragged him off for a quick breakfast before Tsunade pulled him aside and grabbed some grey armor, similar to what current Konoha shinobi wore and quickly helped him into it without saying much other than, "Good luck."
Kushina and Naori were nowhere to be seen and Soutarou already saw and had an inkling as to what had happened. As well as why Tsunade was so silent.

Before she could leave, Soutarou grabbed her hand and said, "Tsunade-nee wait for me. I know I'm a selfish guy. But I'll never leave you I promise. I just want to save Mikoto, because she's my friend."
Soutarou quickly said, "Can you bring Naori-nee and Kushina here before I go?"
Tsunade hesitated before flickering out of the room knowing that there wasn't much time before the duel. Soon she brought back an angry looking Kushina and a blank Naori. Soutarou who didn't have much time said, "I'm sorry Naori-nee and Kushina-chan. I'm doing this to save Mikoto because she's our friend, my friend. Forgive me for being selfish, forgive me for being greedy, but I don't want to let go any of you so let's be together forever Naori-nee, Kushina-chan, and Tsunade-nee!"
That was enough to stabilize their emotions though they all still felt conflicted, in fact very conflicted. Instead they sighed and Kushina being Kushina shed a tear and didn't bother with anything other than the fact that Soutarou said he'd be with her forever. She hugged him and wished him luck while Naori didn't bother and simply said, "Don't lose then. We'll talk about what you said afterwards."

Sighing Soutarou muttered a couple of curses internally as he walked with the three girls towards the Main Uchiha Clan Training where no one was in sight except Mito, Hiruzen, Yuya, Setsuna, Mikoto's Father, Mikoto herself, and Fugaku who also stood in full combat attire. His overly serious face, his scowling expression, and his proud gait all screamed Uchiha added with his deep smile lines that formed not from smiling, but excessive frowning. On his back just like on Soutarou's back was a sheathed ninjato (a small sword often used by Shinobi), his arms were covered by grey arm guards, his shinobi sandals traded for combat boots, his black pants were plain, but extremely function, and his belt was adorned with small utility pockets that likely had seals inscribed inside of them to expand the space and reduce weight. At the same time he wore matching grey black gloves that were flesh with the arm guards and under his grey chest piece was a black shirt and was seemed to be a chainmail under armour. Overall his armor looked like a standard combat unit, but in reality it was far superior to what any standard shinobi could afford or wear that was only exacerbated by his height of 5'9" (relatively tall for a Japanese man). On the other hand Soutarou wore an almost identical set at his shorter stature of about 4 '11." Both without any suggestion from the others stood opposed from each other and a silence that grew between was filled with tension that seemed to reverberate in the very air itself.
The deathly silence was broken by Mito who simply said, "The time is now noon, both participants are now present along with the Heads of the Uchiha, Senju, and Uzumaki Clans. This duel will be overseen by the First Elder of the Uchiha, Setsuna Uchiha alongside acting-clan head of the Senju, Tsunade Senju. The participants both know what's on the line I presume?"
Both just nodded without breaking eye contact.
Mito smiled and nodded, "Good. From this point on I'll leave matters in the hands of Tsunade and Setsuna."
Setsuna coughed into his hand before saying, "I won't both speaking of what will happen should one of you lose or win. I'll keep it short. Everything is legal, except blows to the heart and brain. The match will end once one of the two you is physically incapable of continuing whether that be through knock out or loss of limbs and combat ability. We'll begin at the drop of this coin. Both fighters please come to the center and form the seal of confrontation."
Both did so wordlessly. Setsuna then said, "step 50 paces away from each other."
Fugaku and Soutarou turned their backs on each other and made long but purposeful strides away from each other before both turned to face each other. The wind blew around them whistling in anticipation. The others had all backed off to a safe distance leaving only Setsuna and Tsunade. Setsuna then said, "Good luck to the both of you."
A sparkling coin flared upwards, glowing in a bronze hue. The instant it was thrown upwards both fighters tensed. Fugaku's foot slid back, while Soutarou's foot pivoted and his hand rested on his ninjato. The coin seemed to fall in slow motion almost gliding downwards. Until *ting!* it landed with a graceful metal thud. At that moment both shinobi shot at each other with surprising speed causing the wind to howl around them. Fugaku's hands shot out six shuriken in deadly arcs each blocking off a path of escape while Soutarou simply pulled back his ninjato and swung his sword in an arrogant arc. In that instant that Soutarou swung his sword a thin line of chakra sliced outwards from it fused with wind nature chakra slicing through the hidden wires behind the shuriken jerking them backwards and halting their advance. Neither wasted a second more with Fugaku's eyes now swirling with three distinct tomoe in a glowing red while Soutarou's eyes shut as he used a sensing technique to locate Fugaku immediately clapping his hands at a speed Fugaku couldn't match forcing him to evade with a body flicker as Soutarou's jutsu fired off in a dominant way.
'Water Style: Exploding Water Colliding Wave!'
The battlefield quickly flooded as a massive vortex of water shot out of Soutarou's mouth quickly turning the entire landscape into one of his own benefit. Yet Fugaku reacted and attempted to evaporate the water as quickly as possible by responding with, 'Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Flower!'
In the midst of the technique were hidden shuriken which Soutarou ignored and simply clasped his hands together and formed two handsigns 'Water Style: Water Dragon Bullet!'
A massive water dragon crashed towards Fugaku leaving little room to continue his attack, Fugaku simply abandoned his attack and flickered inwards for close combat. Drawing his ninjato mid flicker he slashed outwards at Soutarou whose eyes were still sealed shut. Soutarou being slightly discombobulated ducked down narrowly avoiding the slash before slipping under Fugaku's guard using his smaller stature and punched out at Fugaku who immediately realized how dangerous close combat would be with a 'Senju.' Without waiting for Fugaku who was recalculating his battle plan Soutarou opened his eyes and used a counter technique aimed at dealing with Fugaku's eyes, 'Genjutsu: Bringer-of-Darkness!'
Fugaku felt his vision get sapped from him and immediately Soutarou began his counter offensive snapping his eyes open and bulleting towards him using his 'Konoha Body Flicker' and breathing a small amount of wind chakra onto his ninjato and combining it with his self made chakra flow that he based off of Tsunade's Monstrous strength. Despite this Fugaku who still had his sense of smell, hearing, and combat instinct from years of actual combat evaded much to Soutarou's dismay. Even worse, Fugaku quickly began orienting himself and adapting on the fly.
'Dammit! He's definitely fought against the hidden mist technique!'
Immediately increasing the gap, Soutarou began forming hand signs intending to utilize the war underneath them.
'Lightning Style: Spider Web!'
Forming another set of signs Soutarou prepared to ensnare Fugaku using the environment, unfortunately at that moment due to the gap in experience with genjutsu Fugaku was able to break free from the Bringer of Darkness technique. Soutarou still managed to finish his signs, but to little use as Fugaku jumped up and out of the way.
'Lightning Style: Electromagnetic Murder!'
Adjusting and pivoting at the same time both fired off jutsu,
'Water Style: Water Fang Bullet!'
'Fire Style: Great Dragon Fire!'
A fang like drill of rotating electrified water shot out of the water meeting a large dragon-head shaped fire. What Soutarou didn't expect was that Fugaku shot out two more in succession targeting the water under him, significantly reducing the small pond that Soutarou had created. Filling the air with water vapor and mist. Realizing he was going to lose his advantage, Soutarou forced out a stolen technique that was logged in the senju archive, 'Water Style: Hiding in Mist!'
'Even though I can tell Fugaku has fought in these types of conditions, it's better to fight him without his vision advantage.'
Forming an ionic crossed hand sign Soutarou casted, 'Multi-Shadow Clone jutsu!'
Each shadow clone rushed around to gain position advantage while his main body instead hid in the ground using, 'Earth Style: Hiding Like a Mole.'
Meanwhile Fugaku not used to dealing with such anti-Uchiha techniques especially from someone he thought would be a joke of an opponent was losing his patience and used, 'Fire Style: Hiding in Ash and Dust' both to cover his opponent in smoke and fire, but also to counter utilize Soutarou's Hiding in the Mist technique as a cover.
However, all of Soutarou's clones had sensing abilities and were quickly able to detect Fugaku using some sort of jutsu and all saw the mist as being a double edged sword they opted to evaporate it and deal with whatever jutsu Fugaku had in store. So nearly 2 dozen jutsu fired off at the same time.
'Wind Style: Great Breakthrough!'
'Fire Style: Great Fireball'
'Earth Style: Earth Dragon Bullet'
'Fire Style: Phoenix Sage Flower'
Even being separate in consciousness all of Soutarou's clones ended up creating combination techniques that quickly dispersed and evaporated the mist and dealt with Fugaku's technique with Fugaku being forced to evade due to the combined Fire and Earth style jutsu. What Fugaku didn't expect was his prior attack being adapted and thrown back at him with flaming hot kunai and shuriken shooting around him in an erratic manner. Being unable to see all of them, especially the ones that were enhanced by the wind release, caused Fugaku to take the first injury of the battle and forcing him to respond with a defensive jutsu.
'Earth Style: Earth-Style Wall'
Fugaku immediately yanked a kunai out of his arm and out off a piece of his shirt and tightly tied it around his arm to constrict the bloodflow, noticing that Soutarou had used poison on that specific kunai. Not knowing whether he'd be poisoned via other cuts Fugaku had no choice but to close in for mid ranged combat in an attempt to finish the battle quickly before Soutarou won due to tactics. Using his sharingan Fugaku realized that Soutarou had used clones and he was unable to make a decision and was unwilling to get surrounded so he quickly followed Soutarou's idea and made ten clones that each engaged two clones each before Fugaku moved towards one with the most chakra.
Fugaku said with confidence and a sinister smile, "it's over!"
