"Strange?" I muttered, taking a slow, cautious sip of my coffee without breaking eye contact with the scene outside. "Rose, it is completely terrifying. It's like watching a wolf suddenly decide to become a vegan and start herding the sheep. I don't buy it for a single second, but at the same time... she hasn't slipped up once."
"I know," Rose whispered, her brow furrowing as she watched Lydia share a light, seemingly genuine laugh with the analyst. "It's been two weeks, Seraphina. Two weeks of pure, unbothered sweetness. If this is an act, she deserves an actual Academy Award. Look at her out there. She's practically a saint."
