Lucian stared straight at Draven, then turned those icy, steel-gray eyes toward me. The silence stretched long enough to feel like an accusation, thick and suffocating, filling every corner of the study.
He slowly leaned back against his chair, crossing his broad arms over his chest, his expression unreadable, though a muscle ticked faintly along his jaw, betraying the temper he fought to leash.
I could see the calculations running behind his gaze, old grievances resurfacing, sharpened by years of watching Nadia slip through consequences that should have buried her long ago.
