Hearing these words from his grandson, Huang Li started to sob even more; tears fell from his face as he spoke with a visible tremble.

Huang Shi then stood up and clasped his grandfather's shoulder before speaking in a tone filled with ice-cold rage.
"Do not worry, grandfather. Like I said, this is not your fault. If there really are villains in this story, that could only be this corrupt Azure Dragon Sect and the True Ancestral Dragon Sect. One day, I will make them pay for their crimes against our family!"
After a while, Huang Li was finally able to calm his emotions. Clearly, the guilt he was feeling over his mother's death was so strong that he had aged much faster these last few years than what would be called normal for a cultivator of his level.
And so, when he learned that his grandson truly did not blame him for his mother's death, it seemed like a weight was lifted from his shoulders as his expression finally turned a bit peaceful.

And yet, when he saw the look of resolve in his grandfather's eyes, he just couldn't bring himself to deny him, and so he sighed before nodding his head.
"Alright, grandfather, I will tell you. But I hope you won't put your life in danger. You and my stepmother are my only family left in this world; if I lost either of you, I think I would truly go crazy."
Huang Li nodded his head as he spoke in a solemn tone, "Don't worry, I at least know how to protect myself!"
Despite his grandfather saying these words, Huang Shi had enough experience to tell that the old man was merely bluffing, and that if push comes to shove, he would give his life to enact his revenge against the criminals who caused his precious daughter to die.
Well, it's fine; I'll protect him and my Li Mei!
After making this decision, both him and his grandfather took a while to calm themselves down.
