Chapter 135 - Chapter 135: Into The Depths of The Forest

As his spear made of crimson lightning flew through the air, the White King Lion, in its desperate attempt to block the attack and find a way to survive, instantly used all of its remaining spiritual energy to form a massive shield of ice around it—like an igloo—before using its remaining spiritual energy to form an armor of ice around its body almost three meters thick.

Clearly, the White King Lion was taking his attack very seriously and had done everything in its power to try its best to survive the attack; in fact, he doubted a cultivator at a similar level—at the 7th level of the Nascent Profound Realm—would be able to deal any sort of significant damage to it in the face of such hefty defense.

Unfortunately for this damn cat, I'm not just any cultivator, am I?

As the all-powerful defense came face to face with the all-powerful offense, only a single outcome would be deemed acceptable for a person like him.

"Bye, cat."

BOOM!

His Crimson Calamity Spear ripped through the defensive igloo, which was shining with a powerful ice-blue light, like it was a piece of paper meeting a sharp sword.

It was smashed into millions of pieces as the crimson lightning's destruction attribute decimated even those shards, as if the shield had never existed.

As the lightning spear broke through the igloo like it was nothing, it then came face to face with the lion's ice armor and—just like the previous line of defense—ripped through its icy exterior like it didn't even exist, hitting the White King Lion in the chest as its blood and bone broke from the impact.

ROAR!

The crimson lightning rampaged through its body, destroying it from the inside out as its flesh was disintegrated by the attack. Before long, the White King Lion's entire body had ceased to exist, as even its blood was affected by his destruction attribute and was wiped out of existence.

Damn... this destruction thing must be really useful at getting rid of evidence. Huang Shi shook his head as, this time, he let the crimson lightning bathe his body, using the slight prickling it gave him to calm his bloodthirst.

The remaining White King Lionesses trembled in fear as they stared at their companion and protector being slaughtered like nothing. They wanted to run away, but for fear of being butchered instead, they tried to bow their heads in submission.

Hmm... even spiritual beasts like them know how to kneel?

After thinking about it for another moment, he shook his head and waved his right hand, removing the pressure he exerted on the lions and gesturing to them that they were free to go.

I guess it's fine. These beasts are not like humans where, if you let some of them go, they fucking come back with a damn army.

Thinking of this, his face suddenly turned grim as he remembered that during his fight with Huang Bai, some of the elders of the Disciplinary Hall had been able to escape from his wrath—the most important of whom was Huang Zun.

That fucking bastard dared to insult my Mei'er; he must be executed!

As his blood burned with rage, he forced himself to calm down, realizing that them being able to escape that day was much more problematic than what he first thought.

Shit... isn't there a chance those fucking trash will tell on me to the Disciplinary Hall and accuse me of murder?

His fingers tapped on his leg, which flashed with bits of crimson lightning as he tried to calm his nerves. He didn't use his golden flames this time because he was training his control of his calamity lightning.

Actually, now that I think about it, it's been about a week since I let those rats go... if they snitched on me to the Disciplinary Hall, I think a squad of even more powerful elders would have been sent to apprehend me.

Since that clearly hasn't happened yet, something must have happened on their side which forced them to stay their hand... I wonder what it is?

As he thought of these things, his mind inadvertently went back to a woman with silver hair and silver-gold eyes, possessed of a regal and imposing aura.

It can't be Xinyue's doing, right?

Trying to shake off his thoughts on the matter—knowing that at this point he couldn't do anything about it—he instead focused on his next goal for his personal training.

Let's spend the next two weeks getting deeper and deeper into the Greenwood Forest, fighting more and more powerful spiritual beasts.

My goal is to eventually be able to fight and kill a Nascent Profound beast at the 9th level, and finally...

His eyes shone with excitement as he licked his lips, his crimson lightning flashing through his fingertips.

"I have to see how strong True Profound Realm spiritual beasts are, right?"

At this thought, he started walking deeper into the forest, his body flashing with a powerful spiritual energy pressure as if signaling to the other spiritual beasts in his vicinity that he was looking for a challenge.

ROAR! HISS! KAAAA!

One by one, powerful spiritual beasts at the 7th and 8th level of the Nascent Profound Realm appeared in front of him, producing all sorts of different sounds as if they were trying to intimidate him into leaving their territory.

Unfortunately for them, Huang Shi was clearly a madman; instead of running away, he started to run straight at them, his entire body filling with crimson lightning.

"Let's see what you've got, you fucking animals!"

As his right leg flashed through the air, sizzling with a powerful aura, it hit a massive green frog—about ten meters big with yellow eyes—straight in the chest.

His crimson lightning ran rampant through its body, causing its blood to spurt out.

8th level is pretty tough, huh... He smiled, not with fear, but with bloodthirst as he dashed forward without hesitation.
