When Theo stepped forward and spoke to the group, the plaza in front of the Grand Academy was still full of organized chaos. His voice had the kind of authority that comes from years of training as a leader.
His voice effortlessly penetrated the surrounding noise.
"Okay, everyone, listen up," he said, and right away the conversations that were going on stopped.
"Iris and I need to work with the city guard, file reports on the demon attack, and make sure that all the civilian refugees are properly registered and housed before anyone can really settle in."
Iris nodded next to him, already looking around the area like a professional who was mentally making a list of things to do. "Sorting through everything will probably take us most of the afternoon, if not... longer than usual, considering how many civilians there are."
