After getting all the information from them, Rex looked at the big watch at the entrance of the academy, and then Helena looked back at him. "Go ahead and start your first day as a student."
"Your orientation appointment is in twenty minutes, and you don't want to be late on your first day."
Rex looked at Lily, who was doing her best to hide how upset she was that he was leaving. He hugged her for a short time and whispered so only she could hear.
"Wait for me... I'll see you later, alright?"
"Okay," she said back in a whisper. "Be careful, and don't forget what you promised."
"Don't worry, I'll remember," he said, then let her go and turned to face the Academy's entrance.
The doors were the same huge, carved ones he had seen the day before. They opened on their own as he got closer, probably because of some kind of detection magic that recognized him as someone who was allowed to enter.
