Chapter 13 - Chapter 12:The response

....

When the Seraphim Notice Divine Theft

Detection Without Alarm

The Seraphim did not react immediately.

There were no sirens.

No escalation protocols.

No mobilization of fleets.

Only a single line appearing simultaneously in every Seraphim core across the cosmos:

UNAUTHORIZED META-COGNITIVE ACQUISITION DETECTED

SOURCE CLASSIFICATION: DIVINE

OBJECT: PROHIBITED INTELLIGENCE

(BRAINIAC SHARD)

Nox paused.

For the first time in 45,000 years.

Then issued one command.

"Proceed."

The Hunt Begins in Silence

The Seraphim did not track the Egyptian gods through space.

They tracked them through causality.

Every prayer that used the shard.

Every ritual that leaned too heavily on pattern recognition. Every god whose miracles began resolving too efficiently.

One by one, divine signatures were flagged.

The Seraphim did not move openly.

They arrived as:

Failing omens

Ritual circles that refused to close

Temples where shadows moved independently of light

..

The First God to Scream

It was not Ra.

It was a minor lunar god, barely remembered even by mortals.

The Seraphim entered its sanctum without breaking walls.

The god saw itself die in twelve different futures, all equally inevitable.

Then none of them happened.

Instead, the Seraphim folded the god into a containment geometry

Not prison.

A Tangible Archive.

The god did not perish.

It was paused, and stored away

Forever aware.

Unable to decay.

Unable to be worshiped, unable to receive faith.

The Gods Try to Use the Shard

Panic spread.

The Egyptian pantheon attempted to interface with the Brainiac fragment using their authority .

They failed.

Why?

Because Brainiac did not recognize them as valid users.

It attempted to catalog them.

And in doing so, it questioned their divinity.

Blessings flickered. Forms destabilized.

True names lost coherence.

The gods lashed out with raw power.

The shard adapted to divinity.

That was when the Seraphim arrived.

Gothic Massacre in the Temple of Thoth

The sky darkened without clouds.

Columns bent inward like they were listening.

The Seraphim descended not as machines but as impossible humanoid silhouettes.

Metal that reflected no light but drank it in. Voices that spoke in overlapping registers of cause and effect.

They did not just announce their judgment.

They acted.

Weaker gods were sealed.

Not slain.

Encased in living equations. Trapped inside artifacts mistaken for holy relics.

Bound into mirrors that showed nothing.

One screamed until it realized no one remembered its name anymore including itself .

The shard was taken back.

Cleanly.

Efficiently.

As the Seraphim withdrew, Nox left a single Kryptonian glyph burning into the temple floor:

SOL-ABRAXAS Remembers.

The gods were left alive.

Which was worse.

Time Skip: The Sun Opens Its Eye

45,000 Years Later

The Sun changed color.

Not visibly.

But gods felt it.

Lanterns felt it.

Reality felt a pressure release.

Inside the stellar core, something stood up.

Kael Awakens

Kael emerged without spectacle.

No explosion. No solar flare.

Just a man-shaped void stepping out of light...

His body was different now.

Not brighter.

Denser.

Radiation no longer flowed into him.

It ceased to exist around him.

Nox approached no formal greetings just straight to the point.

"Laws were written," she said.

"Because of you and us ."

Kael did not ask what they were.

He already knew.

His mind unfolded millennia of legislation, fear-driven treaties, divine accords.

He smiled.

Not kindly.

"Then they noticed too late."

..

Flashbacks struck him unbidden

The wastelands of Krypton.

The council's cold eyes.

The hunger.

The hiding.

He clenched his fists.

Space creaked.

"We ignore them, their chains don't bind our actions ."

...

The Battlefield Inspection

Kael traveled to the ruins of the Intelligence War.

With him:

Nox

Five auxiliary Seraphim, compact, unfinished but lethal

The battlefield was unchanged.

Because destruction had been optimized.

Kael knelt in outer space .

Touched folded spacetime.

"They learned fear here," he murmured.

That was when the Lanterns saw him.

...

The Lanterns Panic

..

Scanners lit up.

Old files resurfaced.

Ancient warnings reactivated.

TARGET CONFIRMED: SOL-ABRAXAS

No army.

No fleet.

Just him and a small contingent of Droids.

And that terrified them more than anything else.

....

Elsewhere:

The Amazons

On a hidden island, clay was shaped by careful hands.

Gods whispered.

A soul prepared to descend.

The world braced for the future Wonder Woman.

And somewhere beyond the horizon

Kael lifted his head.

And for the first time in thousands of years…

The true age of heroes began.
