Chapter 33 - Chapter 33: The S.H.I.E.L.D. Murder Case

"Load Harry Potter protagonist template!"

Watching the Triskelion, S.H.I.E.L.D.'s headquarters, appear ahead, Hawking silently loaded the Harry Potter template for himself.

A Wizard robe, a flying broomstick, an invisibility cloak, and a wand appeared in his hands simultaneously.

"Hawking, our main goal this time is to hand over Stryker and the evidence of his assassination attempt on the President to S.H.I.E.L.D. It's best not to have any unnecessary conflicts with them."

Seeing Hawking activate his ability, Professor X immediately reminded him.

Hawking smiled obediently and said:

"Professor, I know. I'm just being prepared. If I find them harboring ill intentions, I can be ready to counterattack immediately."

Professor X nodded, finding it reasonable.

"Mr. Stryker must be thirsty. Here, have some Water."

At this moment, Hawking suddenly took out a bottle of Water from a nearby empty space and slowly unscrewed it.

"What a kind child."

Professor X showed an appreciative look on his face, temporarily releasing Stryker, who was fixed like a log by his ability.

Although Stryker was hateful, Hawking could set aside his prejudice and offer him Water, which Professor X admired.

Mystique, who was driving, and Magneto, who was in the passenger seat, exchanged glances after hearing the commotion behind them and began to observe the situation in the back through the rearview mirror.

Earlier, Hawking had asked him for a poison that would be immediately fatal upon ingestion, saying he wanted to use it to kill Stryker.

Now he felt that Hawking seemed to be about to take action.

He just couldn't understand why, if Stryker were poisoned to death now, Charles would inevitably be angry, and it would be difficult to explain to S.H.I.E.L.D. This didn't seem to align with Hawking's intelligence.

But it didn't matter. If there was a rift between Hawking and Charles, he could just step in as a third party, which wasn't a bad thing.

Or, did Hawking have some other idea?

"Flavius!"

Using his wide Wizard robe as a cover, Hawking poured a small tube of blue liquid into the mineral Water bottle the moment he unscrewed it, then gently waved his wand at the bottle and quietly cast the Deformation Curse.

The mineral Water, originally turned blue by the poison, instantly reverted to a pure transparent color.

He then smiled and handed the restored mineral Water bottle to Stryker, who had just regained control of his body.

Stryker grabbed the mineral Water bottle and gulped it all down.

He had been fixed by Professor X the entire way, without food or Water, and was now both hungry and thirsty.

Seeing Stryker finish the Water, Professor X, fearing he might cause trouble, immediately used his ability to fix him again.

Magneto, in the front, narrowed his eyes at the sight.

"Did he give up? No, there's definitely something wrong!"

The blue liquid he had Mystique retrieve from the academy was a highly potent venom; a normal person would die instantly with just one drop down their throat.

If he wasn't poisoning him, then given Hawking's personality, he wouldn't be so kind as to give Stryker Water. But if it was poison, why was Stryker perfectly fine after drinking it?

Given that Hawking had suddenly activated his ability earlier, he could only guess that Hawking had used some ability he didn't understand.

"Done."

Seeing Stryker drink the bottle of mineral Water in one gulp, Hawking knew his plan had succeeded.

In fact, killing Stryker was simple; the key was not to let Professor X or S.H.I.E.L.D. discover it.

So, Stryker had to die after they left S.H.I.E.L.D., which made it a bit troublesome.

Therefore, he reviewed the various magic spells Harry Potter had learned in school from his memory.

The magic in the Harry Potter World was very mysterious; some spells had distinct characteristics when cast.

For example, the Curse of Slaying would produce a green beam of light, Expelliarmus a blue beam, the Explosion Spell a red beam, the Rope Curse would send out a rope, and the Arrow-Shooting Spell would fire arrows.

However, some spells had no obvious symptoms when cast; as long as the wand was pointed at the enemy and not too close, it would work.

Such as the Repairing Spell, Levitation Charm, Deformation Curse, Petrificus Totalus, the Sleeping Charm, and so on.

There was also a very small portion that didn't even require the wand to be pointed, similar to Harry Potter's Summoning Charm when he summoned his flying broomstick from his dormitory to subdue the Dragon in the Goblet of Fire.

As long as one thought of the item, it could be summoned to one's side within a certain range.

Of course, the premise was that no one could stop it, and it couldn't be in a completely enclosed space.

However, considering that even within S.H.I.E.L.D., if he cast a symptomless spell that led to Stryker's death, Director Fury would immediately pinpoint him, guessing that they had used some Mutant ability to kill Stryker.

Therefore, after some thought, he decided to use the Deformation Curse to solve it.

The Deformation Curse is a magic spell that can transform the form of objects.

If this magic is mastered well, it can transform inanimate objects into other inanimate objects, inanimate objects into living creatures, living creatures into inanimate objects, and living creatures into other living creatures.

Specifically, like in first year, turning matches into needles, Water into tea, or into rum.

In second year, turning beetles into buttons, rabbits into slippers, and tables into pigs.

In third year, understanding Animagus, transforming from a person into an animal.

In fourth year, cross-species transformation, turning guinea fowl into guinea pigs.

So, although Harry Potter wasn't particularly skilled in the Deformation Curse, transforming venom into pure Water, which was first-year content, he could do it with ease.

Hawking, after loading the template, could naturally do it too.

As for why?

That brings us to some characteristics of the Deformation Curse.

The Deformation Curse adheres to Gamp's Law of Elemental Transfiguration. This law contains many provisions, with several important points being that one cannot conjure things out of thin air, especially food.

And when transforming one thing into another, there will be time limits depending on the Wizard's mastery of the Deformation Curse; it cannot be a permanent transformation, nor can it truly become another item.

Just like Hawking transformed the venom into pure Water, the pure Water was pure Water when it entered Stryker's stomach, but after the magic effect ended, the pure Water would turn back into venom.

With Harry Potter's mastery of the Deformation Curse, this effect could last three to four hours without much problem.

In other words, Stryker now appeared perfectly fine, but three or four hours later, when the magic effect of the Deformation Curse disappeared, the Water in his stomach would immediately turn into venom, instantly taking his life.

This was Hawking's magical murder event, prepared for S.H.I.E.L.D.!

The car stopped beneath the S.H.I.E.L.D. building. As the five people exited the car, Agent Hill, accompanied by a group of S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents, greeted them with a smile.

"We can take custody of William Stryker. Director Fury is already waiting for the four of you in his top-floor office."

"No problem, please lead the way."

Professor X nodded, not preventing the S.H.I.E.L.D. Agents from taking custody of Stryker.

Although Stryker didn't speak before being led away, a hint of sarcasm was evident in his eyes, showing no concern about falling into S.H.I.E.L.D.'s hands.

"Charles, this is absolutely a wrong decision."

Magneto, standing nearby, narrowed his eyes and shook his head at the sight. However, he quickly saw Hawking wink at him.
