"How is the Gravity Chamber research coming along?"
After the interview, Hawking arranged for Peter and Jessica to continue with advertising sales, while he himself went to Osborn Industries and found the Green Goblin, Norman Osborn.
Osborn Industries used to primarily rely on government investment to manufacture various weapons, but after partnering with Hawking, it began to transform.
Relying on the popularity of Hawking's three Superheroes, the various spin-off projects brought in, and the exclusive rights from Hero Alliance Company, the company has diversified and now earns far more than before.
There were also no risks or high technical requirements, saving a large amount of research and development funds.
He mainly felt that what Hawking said made sense: there was no future in weapon development, with the giant Stark Industries above them taking most of the business, and companies like Exploration Aerospace and Hammer Industries below them vying for the remaining small portion.
It was nothing like the current situation, where he was the only one doing this in the entire World, with no competitors at all.
"We've made some progress, but with our current technology, we can only achieve 1.5 times gravity at most, and it's not very stable. To improve it, we need time for gradual refinement."
The Green Goblin pointed to a huge circular chamber in front of them as he replied.
He didn't know why Hawking wanted him to research the Gravity Chamber, a technological product that seemed to have no practical application for Hawking's company.
But since Hawking was willing to pay, and their cooperation had been so pleasant until now, he naturally wouldn't refuse.
Currently, the scientists at Osborn Industries no longer had to research various missiles and weapons; they were basically all researching this Gravity Chamber.
However, the Gravity Chamber was, after all, a type of technology that had never existed before. Even with him leading all the scientists at Osborn Industries, it took half a year to build this 1.5 times Gravity Chamber.
"Keep up the good work!"
Hawking looked at the Gravity Chamber before him, his eyes sparkling.
Although this 1.5 times gravity was useless to him now, and not as effective as Wanda's Chaos Magic, since it had been created, it could definitely be increased to five, ten, or even a hundred times in the future.
And as long as he had the Gravity Chamber and was willing to endure hardship, his strength would greatly improve.
"Just the Green Goblin isn't enough; it seems I need to talk to Mister Fantastic."
The Green Goblin was indeed a brilliant scientist, but relying solely on him was too slow. He had considered approaching Tony Stark, as Tony Stark was the expert in machinery.
However, before he became Iron Man, this fellow was not so easy to get along with; he was rich, arrogant, and conceited, and probably wouldn't be willing to help research the Gravity Chamber just for money.
On the other hand, Mister Fantastic, he had just seen news of his bankruptcy these past two days. The possibility of using money to get him to help with Gravity Chamber research was very high.
From what he understood, Mister Fantastic, Reed Richards, was hailed as the smartest man on Earth, a genius scientist most skilled in invention and creation.
Of course, this only referred to his intelligence, not other aspects.
For example, when Wanda entered Universe 838, he did the foolish thing of exposing all his teammates' weaknesses, leading to the complete annihilation of the Illuminati.
Moreover, it was said that he was a troublemaker, often causing already not-so-serious incidents to escalate and result in extremely adverse outcomes due to some of his ideas.
Hawking would certainly not treat such a person like Peter and Jessica.
Just like Professor X, Captain Carter, and Captain Marvel, they already had their own ideas and philosophies, unlike Peter and Jessica, who were obedient. They might turn on him instantly over some ideological issue.
So the best approach was to prevent Mister Fantastic from ever being born, to keep him from gaining his powers, to let him remain an ordinary person, a scientist who buried himself in the lab all day, helping him research the Gravity Chamber.
That way, even if he had any ideas, Hawking could suppress them at any time.
After checking the progress of the Gravity Chamber research, Hawking immediately rode his motorcycle to the Baxter Building in Manhattan.
The Baxter Building was the building Reed Richards bought, but it was mortgaged, and currently only the fourth installment had been paid. It was also the future headquarters of the Illuminati, the place where Wanda annihilated the Illuminati.
"I say, Reed, are you really going to partner with Viktor?
That guy is greedy for profit, and he was very jealous of your talent in college. Asking him for help will probably just lead to him humiliating you."
Inside the office of the building, a burly bald man looked at his friend, Reed Richards, and advised him.
Reed, however, was filled with helplessness:
"I don't want to go to him either, but there's no other way. The fourth mortgage payment for the building is due soon, and we've hit a lot of dead ends recently. NASA simply doesn't believe in my project.
Viktor, despite being a bit arrogant, isn't a bad person, and his company happens to have a space station. If he's willing to cooperate, then this project will definitely succeed."
"I'm afraid even if he is willing, he'll fleece you mercilessly."
The bald strong man, Ben, shook his head.
Reed smiled and patted Ben's shoulder:
"At worst, I'll give him twenty-five percent of the profits. Besides, we're not doing this for money; we hope to use this technology to help humanity evolve, to make future children healthier and live longer."
"Excuse me, is Dr. Reed Richards in?"
Just then, there was a sudden knock on the office door.
Reed quickly got up and opened the door, and a handsome young man appeared before him.
"Hello, I am Reed Richards. May I ask who you are?"
He clearly didn't recognize the young man in front of him.
Hawking extended his right hand in a friendly gesture towards Reed:
"Hello, I am Hawking, the Chairman of Hero Alliance International Company. I have something I'd like to discuss with you."
"You are the Chairman of Hero Alliance International Company?"
Hearing Hawking's words, Reed's eyes widened instantly.
He naturally knew about Hero Alliance International Company; for the past six months, it had been on the front page of major newspapers every day. Even the scandalous news about playboy Tony Stark could only take second place now.
However, the Chairman of this Hero Alliance Company was very mysterious, never appearing in newspapers or on the news. Not to mention his appearance, even his name was unknown to everyone.
Many even speculated that Golden Flash, the leader of the three-color team, was likely the Chairman of Hero Alliance International Company.
Spider-Man's suit was red, Golden Flash's armor was gold, and Flying Valkyrie's leather suit was pure black, so sometimes people referred to the trio as the three-color team.
For such a young man to suddenly appear and claim to be the Chairman of Hero Alliance International Company, it was truly hard for him to believe. He felt that the other party might be playing a trick on him.
"Perhaps you'll believe me more if I show you this."
Hawking reached out and touched himself, and immediately his iconic golden armor appeared.
