Chapter 62 - Chapter 62 The Wounded Unicorn

Everyone looked at the puddle of silver-white blood on the ground, and the atmosphere instantly became heavy.

The silver liquid shimmered in the moonlight, emitting a sacred yet eerie glow.

Hermione knelt down, carefully observing the bloodstains.

"Could some animal have targeted the Unicorn as prey?"

She frowned, her voice filled with worry.

"Like a pack of wolves? Or some other fierce beast?"

Hagrid shook his head, his expression becoming extremely serious.

"Impossible, Hermione."

He stood up, looking around the surrounding forest.

"Within the Forbidden Forest, only two creatures can harm a Unicorn."

"One is the Centaur, but Centaurs would never hunt Unicorns. They consider Unicorns sacred beings and would rather starve than harm them."

Ron swallowed hard.

"What about the other one?"

"Acromantula."

"But they wouldn't harm Unicorns either."

Hagrid's voice deepened.

When Ron heard that name, he instantly got goosebumps.

He feared spiders the most, let alone terrifying creatures like Acromantulas.

"Acromantula?!"

Ron's voice was distorted.

"Hagrid, are you sure? That thing doesn't sound like it wouldn't harm a Unicorn."

Harry patted Ron's shoulder, trying to comfort him.

But his own face didn't look too good either.

The name Acromantula alone sent shivers down his spine.

Hagrid shook his head, his tone very firm.

"I'm sure Acromantulas wouldn't harm Unicorns."

"Although they look scary, they actually have a cute side, I'm sure of it."

But Hagrid never explained why Acromantulas wouldn't harm Unicorns.

"So it's very likely the work of a Dark Wizard who strayed into the Forbidden Forest; only those bad guys would harm Unicorns."

Charlie, listening from the side, was already calculating his escape route.

Whether it was Centaurs, Acromantulas, or Dark Wizards, none of them sounded easy to deal with.

Especially Dark Wizards.

His Spell hadn't even reached level five yet, how could he go head-to-head with a Dark Wizard?

Although Charlie was thriving at Hogwarts, he had never directly confronted an adult Wizard.

He wasn't sure about the strength of Dark Wizards, nor did he have a clear idea of how his own strength stacked up against adult Wizards.

So naturally, retreating first was the optimal choice.

As for the Unicorn, it wouldn't even let him touch it, so he wouldn't save it.

Hermione gasped.

"Dark Wizards? Near Hogwarts?"

"What should we do now?"

Harry clutched his wand, and though afraid, his eyes gleamed with determination.

"We can't let the Unicorn die like this!"

Hagrid nodded, raising the crossbow in his hand.

"That's right, we should continue forward and try to save that Unicorn."

"Hope it's still alive now."

When Charlie heard this, alarm bells rang in his head.

No, absolutely not.

Hagrid was leading them to their deaths.

Regardless of Hagrid's strength, bringing three other burdens was clearly not an option.

This was practically a recipe for a total wipeout.

Charlie's mind raced, and he immediately came up with a perfect excuse to get away.

"Wait, Hagrid."

Charlie raised his hand, stopping Hagrid's forward steps.

"Professor Dumbledore should know about this."

Hagrid paused, then slapped his big head.

"You're right, why didn't I think of that!"

"If it really is a Dark Wizard, Professor Dumbledore must know about this!"

He looked at the children around him, suddenly realizing the seriousness of the problem.

"And you children shouldn't stay in the Forbidden Forest; it's too dangerous."

Hagrid earnestly requested Charlie.

"Charlie, please take Harry and the others back to the Castle and tell Dumbledore what happened here."

"I'll continue to follow the blood trail and see if I can save the Unicorn."

This proposal sounded very reasonable.

If he encountered a Dark Wizard while following the blood trail, Hagrid wasn't confident he could protect Harry and the others.

And he knew Charlie's strength; although young, he had extremely high magic talent.

Having Charlie take the other three children back to the Castle should be no problem.

Harry, however, was a bit anxious.
