On a very dark night, a notification popped on my phone. I opened the app and read the text it said " hey do you remember me " and then I replied, no I don't. Then he said "I am your childhood friend, we did our primary school together, and then he added his name , Charlie" . Then I said , ohh! I remember this name but not the face.
Then he added " yeah! yeah!, how could you even remember me , I was someone who was always in the last place in studies and you were always in the first position."
After hearing these words I didn't felt good, as I have always hated for being good in studies. Because of being good in studies, my parents and relatives always had high expectations from me . But as I grew up I was just a burden to them .
Keeping these thoughts aside I just said that , what are you even talking about.... First and last places, I just don't remember you as we didn't had any frequent interactions . And moreover I am not a topper anymore so just don't call me that. I got quite upset upon hearing those words .
After that I guess he also felt bad about saying those things, so after that he just stopped talking about the academics , and started talking about how life has been after all it had been 6 years since he changed the school.
Both were curious about each others life ,they used to talk each and every night after that.
He was a hosteller , so after a few days of texting each other it was the day when he had to go the hostel as his vacation was over. Both said bye to each other and promised to talk after the academic session.
