Chapter 195 - 195-Betrayal in the Shadows

Seeing Dragonite shield them within its protective barrier, Sieg's heart calmed down a bit. Though their combat suits had automatic shield functions, who knew how long they could last.

In comparison, having this peak elite-level pseudo-legendary Dragonite protecting them was far more reassuring.

Sieg rapidly moved his hand closer to that pool of golden blood.

The instant his fingertip approached, electric arcs immediately crackled, the crackling sounds startling everyone.

"Damn, even its blood is bizarre?" the younger twin was first to complain.

Everyone felt the same, but their hand movements remained swift. The combat suit's absorber instantly activated.

A pitch-black opening appeared in their palms. The four slowly absorbed the golden blood into their combat suits' storage compartments.

"Damn it, we can't just let these people take Raikou's blood away!"

"Right, everyone work together! Even if it's a pseudo-legendary, so what? They're clearly outnumbered!"

"Flamethrower! Hydro Pump! Icicle Crash! Flash Cannon! Fire Spin! Ice Beam! Psybeam!"

Momentarily, commanding voices rose and fell across the entire mountain forest. Dozens upon hundreds of Pokémon simultaneously attacked Dragonite.

The group collecting blood sensed this, their hair standing on end. Even hiding behind Dragonite's protective barrier, they stil activated their combat suits' defensive functions.

Not that they didn't trust Dragonite, after all, they'd personally experienced Dragonite's power.

It was just that this scene was too terrifying. Overwhelming attacks flying towards them, this kind of horror couldn't be understood without experiencing it firsthand.

The ground had been absorbed completely clean. Only a patch of grayish soil remained, with scorched grass around it proving that divine blood was here once.

"Retreat~~~~!"

With a loud shout, the four fled in different directions. Sieg also released Honchkrow.

Having just reached elite level, its speed had jumped up an entire tier. Combined with Tailwind's boost, it flew clear out of the mountain forest within breaths.

Mushin looked at the Pokémon preparing to pursue the four. "Want to chase them? Ask me first!"

After speaking, he threw out two more Poké Balls, two more peak elite-level Pokémon. Including the four already released.

Six peak elite-level Pokémon!

New Mauville.

As thunder clouds weakened, the sky gradually regained its former azure blue. Sunlight once again bathed the earth, as if nothing had happened. However, only that faintly visible golden light and the pursuing Pokémon behind could prove that heart-stopping battle just now wasn't an illusion.

In the dim forest, a black-robed figure navigated complex terrain at shocking speed, footsteps light and nimble, each touch of ground splashing water.

"Huff! Huff! Huff!"

"The rendezvous point is just ahead. Hope everything goes smoothly." Sieg panted heavily while remaining vigilant.

Just as he prepared to regroup, sounds of Pokémon battles suddenly erupted from the forest ahead. Sieg's nerves instantly tensed, his entire body assuming a combat stance as he cautiously approached.

"Honchkrow, hide yourself first!"

Sieg had Honchkrow conceal itself, then slowly approached where the battle sounds originated.

"Nidoking (Nidoqueen), use Double Earth Power!" the twin brothers commanded simultaneously.

The target of both Pokémon's attacks was Rose's Venusaur!

"Venusaur, use Razor Leaf! Pidgeot, use Twister!"

"What exactly are you two trying to do? Don't forget, we're still executing Executive Archer's mission! Can't this wait until after we're done?!"

Rose hastily commanded her Pokémon, but to no avail.

The twin brothers chuckled, exchanging glances. Without answering Rose's question, they simply commanded their Pokémon to intensify their assault.

"Gyarados, use Ice Fang."

"Golduck, use Psybeam."

The massive Gyarados thrashed through the forest, its movements severing countless small trees at the roots. Icy mist rose from its sharp fangs. Opening its menacing dragon maw, it lunged to bite Venusaur's body.

This strike carried both Ice-type frostbite and intense tearing force.

Golduck's forehead gem flickered slightly. A brilliantly colorful beam shot forth, attacking Pidgeot in the sky.

Psybeam collided with Twister. The originally violent storm instantly dissipated, leaving only gentle breezes, while Psybeam struck squarely.

Pidgeot lost balance, flapping its wings, barely maintaining low-altitude flight. Venusaur also resisted pressure from three Pokémon on the frontal battlefield. The current battle situation had clearly become one-sided.

Feeling like victory was certain, the younger twin couldn't help mocking.

"Heh, I thought that pretty boy Black Sky would arrive first. Didn't expect you to so eagerly walk into this trap!" the younger twin teased first.

Rose detected something unusual in these words, demanding furiously, "What do you mean? I'm telling you, stop right now, or I'll definitely report you to Executive Archer!"

"Bah! You think we're scared? Bitch, we've been annoyed with you for ages. Once we kill you, we can report to Executive Archer afterward that you unfortunately died during combat."

"We'll naturally seize all the rewards for ourselves. As long as we can latch onto Executive Archer's coattails, why worry about not thriving within Team Rocket?"

The brothers laughed maniacally. But before they could gloat even more, a faint fragrance suddenly drifted through the air.

The quicker-reacting older twin, Shin'ichi, hastily held his breath. But it was too late, intense dizziness surged through his head

"Not good, it's sleeping drugs!"

Shinji also reacted, but his body gradually weakened. With a thud, he collapsed to the ground.

A mocking smile curved Rose's crimson lips. She said disdainfully, "You'r yapping way too much while fighting, you greenhorns!"

Pokémon who'd lost their trainers' commands naturally were no match for Rose. But even excluding the fleeing Gyarados, the remaining three Pokémon still took Rose a considerable amount of time to eliminate.

"Pidgeot, well done. Your gentle breeze dispersing toxins didn't attract attention this time. Your air control has reached perfection!"

A long-absent smile appeared on Rosa's delicate, seductive face. Proficient in poison techniques, her Pokémon naturally were no slouches either.

Releasing toxins mixed into Pidgeot's Twister technique, delivered through gentle breeze into her enemies' mouths and noses.

The seemingly losing battle situation instantly reversed.

This was the charm of Free-For-All-Combat. Till the last breath was drawn, you never knew who had truly won.

As Rose continuously cursed at the two male corpses below, a black shadow flashed by at extreme speed.

"Whoosh~"

A violent gust swept in.

Just as it was about to strike Rosa's head, the nearby Pidgeot instantly reacted. Its massive wings immediately rose, directly dispersing this small gust.
