Giovanni: Zee, hey Zee!
He shook his daughter who was standing there frozen with sparkly goo goo eyes.
Giovanni: *sigh* well she's gonna take a while to come back so anyway what may I help you with Batman
Batman: Do you know where I can find John Constantine
Zee broke out of her frozen state hearing that name and Giovanni showed a somewhat angry expression
Giovanni: I'm sorry but I do not
Batman: You must have some idea
Giovanni: We don't keep in touch
Batman: I know that there's some history between him and Zee so I-*gasp*
Izuku turned to look at Batman who gave off a different kind of air as if he was replaced
Izuku's thoughts: What happened to batman?
Meliodas: It looks like someone took over his body
Izuku thoughts: What !!!
Batman began checking out his body before speaking with a different voice " Giovanni Batman needs to talk with John you gotta come along too it's important " he said causing Giovanni and Zee to approach
Zee: Is that you Boston?
Batman/Boston: Yeah ugh everything is ugh
He fell and used the table infront of him to stay up on his feet
Batman: Boy this guys mind is tough ugh!!!Can't hold argh!!!
Batman stood back up straight as a glowing spirit of a bald pale man wearing a red suit appeared floating behind him visible to Zee and Giovanni but also surprisingly Izuku.
Batman turned angrily to Giovanni" what is going on ?" he asked the sorcerer
Izuku: Also who's this guy?
Natsu: He's a g-g-ghost !!!
Rokuro: pfft scaredy cat
Meliodas nodded chibi style
Both magic users turned to face Izuku in shock " you can see him ?" asked Giovanni to Izuku who nodded.
Zee: But how only magic users should be able to see spirits so that can only mean...*gasp* You're magic just like me !!!!
She jumped on him and hugged him tight pressing her extremely soft and supple bosom against his chest making him blush bright red.
Giovanni: Did you know he wielded magic?
Batman: No but we can discuss him later for now we need to go
Giovanni: I'm sorry Batman but I can't not right now however and this is against my better judgement Zee can go with you
Zee: Really daddy !!?
She asked excitedly as he nodded making her squeal and hug him tight before taking Izukus's hand and guiding him out " c'mon let's go !!" she said running out of the room leaving two confused men and a shocked spirit.
Batman: *sigh* Thank you Zatanna I promise I'll do anything I can to protect Zee
Giovanni: I know Bruce but it's not the fight I'm worried about it's John. He and Zee had a relationship a while back and I doubt he's changed much
Batman nodded and walked out followed by the spirit " I call shotgun" he said flying away.
...
In the batmobile sat Zee and Batman in the front and Izuku in the back with Boston
Boston: Why am I sitting back here I'm older than you Zee !!
Zee: Sorry Boston but life is for the living
Izuku: Hey I have a question who were you Boston
Batman: Boston Brant he was a circus performer
Boston: Batman's heard of me sweet tell him I'm a fan of his too but you know be cool about it also nice to meet you, kid
Izuku: Y-you too
He shook the spirit's hand
Izuku thoughts: Hey how come you guys aren't like him despite being in the same situation
Rokuro: Well it's because unlike him our souls are fused
Meliodas: Also he seems to have some divine magic in him so I think a goddess or someone on that level gave him the power to do well whatever it is he's doing
Zee: Yep that's him. He was a trapeze artist who loved being famous, especially with the ladies
She turned to narrow her eyes at him before turning back around and looking through the window with her arms crossed " husbands not so much" Boston facepalmed
Boston: You're killing me
Zee: He had a knack for irritating the wrong people and then about 5 years ago karma caught up with him...It was a weekend show full house Boston was in the middle of his death-defying act when ...he died and that should have been that but with Boston, things tend to get complicated his spirit was called by the goddess Rama Kushna she took pity on him and blessed him with the power to take over the living so he could bring his killer and others to justice
Boston: Hey I don't wanna brag but I'm good
Izuku was awestruck by the story
Batman: So was it him that wrote the threats on my walls
Zee: Ah yeah no apparently he was heading over to write you a message to find John but some kind of creature stopped him
Batman: hmm
He looked through the corner of his eye at Izuku who was writing notes on Boston the later telling him about his power
Batman: where is this address GPS doesn't seem very useful tonight
Zee: It's not an address the house of mystery tends to look around I didn't put the symbols in there for the GPS to find it I wanted the house to come to us
Izuku suddenly felt a jolt of pain in his head and looked out the window to hear lightning
Meliodas: Izuku !!
Rokuro: Be careful I can feel something bad coming
Natsu: It's magic I can hear someone casting it but vaguely
A tornado appeared infront of the car several feet away sending boulders and trees at the car so Batman had to dodge each one just barely. One tree was about to hit them when Zatanna held her arms out
Zee: Domskei!!
A pink blast of energy collided with the tree causing it to explode as the tornado got close and turned into a monster
The monster devoured the vehicle and lifted the car off the ground raising it higher and higher in the air as rocks and trees collided with it
Zee: Delisewa!
A pink barrier surrounded the vehicle protecting it from the debree
Zee cupped her hands with her eyes glowing pink struggling to keep the barrier up
Boston: She can't hold it do something !!
Izuku: Batman! Open the hatchet I can get us out of this
Batman pressed the unlock button on the side of his door opening the windshield above Izuku letting him out. The teen jumped onto the hood of the car breathing in large amounts of air and feeling it power up the flame inside he activated one for all around his dragon lungs and released his attack.
Izuku: One for all 20% fire dragon roar !!!!
The entire tornado glowed a flame-like orange before exploding and releasing the batmobile. Quickly Batman pushed the engine into full throttle so the afterburner blasted them forward towards the ground allowing for a safe landing.
They drove ahead to the end of the cliff they were on to see the house of Mystery.
Batman exited the car followed by Boston as Izuku landed next to them using his fire to glide to the ground.
Izuku: Is everyone okay?
Batman nodded and petted Izukus head" good job kid " he then walked towards the house leaving a very happy Izuku
Natsu: Hahaha!! You see that my fire is clearly the best power whoo!!
Rokuro and Meliodas were growling angrily at the prideful Natsu
Boston: You got some serious firepower kiddo nicely done
Izuku chuckled and nervously rubbed the back of his neck " thanks" he thanked the man.
" ugh" Izuku spun around to see Zee groaning so he quickly ran to her side and helped her out of the car " you okay Zee," he asked the girl who held her head and smiled at him.
Zee: Of course but thanks for the help darling
Izuku blushed at the nickname as they walked to the house waiting for them at the front door was a male with blonde hair, face stubble, a beige coat, a white button-up shirt, a red tie, brown jeans with a brown belt and black shoes.
Constantine: Zee you alright?
He asked the girl who rolled her eyes at him
Zee: Yeah not like it matters to you
Constantine: I should have known you were the reason I'm not in London enjoying a pint the house always did like you better
He smirked at her before turning his head to face Batman, Izuku and Boston" odd trio to go on a road trip with to what do I owe the visit ?" he questioned Batman.
Batman: The league thinks the spike in homicides might have a magical cause
Constantine guided them to the fireplace
Boston: Told you something stinks. Now we know someone doesn't want us to ask questions
He said to Constantine as Batman and Izuku looked around the room
Constantine: Looks like you cracked it wide open mate
Batman: What did he say?
Constantine: nu-uh I ain't playing telephone between you two Me kitaleru isarus
He cupped his hands as a yellow light shinned in between allowing Batman to see Boston
Boston: we online?
Constantine nodded as the ghost flew around Batman and Izuku " great!" he cheered flying around them. Constantine looked at the roof when suddenly he jumped to the side gasping in fear as a purple person appeared beside him.
The figure appeared to be more alien than human but with a womanly figure indicating it was a female.
Constantine: Ah! I told you not to do that Orchid and use a bloody door
Orchid: I'm glad to see you are well
She said to Zee behind Constantine with a smile
Boston: ooh
Zee: How new is this one?
Constantine: Not what you think it's the magic of the house that decided it wanted to experience humanity and gave itself a body
Boston/Zee: It sure did
Orchid walked to Boston and took his hand " a spirit whose existence is not his own...Like myself interesting" she said to Boston's confusion and slight discomfort.
Boston: umm yeah we are that
Constantine: Dead smooth you are mate
Boston: hey hey it's been a while you know
Orchid walked to Zee " powerful in true magic angry at John I understand yet you held feelings for him not too long ago but now you are confused " Constantine sat on the chair opposite Zee and looked at her with an expression of shock and heartbreak.
Orchid walked to Batman" you exude pain, your life is a patchwork of blackness with no time for joy and yet a part of you cares deeply for another someone you consider a son "
Constantine: That was enlightening
He created a bottle of whiskey and two glass cups in his hand " well I guess we should have that chin wag about now-" shocking everyone Orchid kneeled down to Izuku.
Orchid: welcome home master
Zee/Boston/Constantine: Master/The hell!!!
Izuku: M-Master what do you mean?
Meliodas: This is odd I've seen magic like this before
Natsu: I saw something close but very different
Rokuro: What do you two mean
Both: Living magic
Orchid: The house of mystery was created for the sole purpose of housing, protecting and serving the prime Argon.
Izuku: The prime Argon ?
Batman walked infront of Izuku and stood infront of him trying to protect him. He narrowed his eyes at Orchid " what are you talking about ?"
Orchid: I apologise but the time has not yet come for me to disclose this information what I can say is that the darkness that rises from the depths of purgatory has come to purge the light of the morning stars.
Izuku thoughts: What is this about do you guys know?
Natsu: Nope
Rokuro: I don't
Meliodas shook his head " I don't either but maybe it explains why after we died we fused with your soul "
Constantine: Well this was rather odd but now let's get to work
Timeskip:
Constantine was reviewing the homicide incidents using a magic window
Boston: Rama Kushna says this will break down the walls between the planes. Even the afterlife will be affected also she is pleading for your help kid
He said to Izuku
Constantine began walking away " yeah it's dodgy alright I'll look into it meanwhile the house will drop you anywhere you like," he told them but before he could leave them Boston stopped him.
Boston: Woah Woah Woah Rama Kushna says we have to work together. Come on! It's a dream team. You, me, Zatanna, Batman, the kid maybe even the Justice League
Constantine: The capes and tights crew, useless against dark magic
Boston: That's why we need you. You can lead us
Constantine: Boston do I strike you as a team player? Much less a team leader. The point is even deities can get it wrong it's how we got the appendix, Neanderthals and reality tv. Zee your help I could use
Zatanna: Okay, if we do it as a group
Constantine:...Argh!!This this is the monkey cage in Sumatra all over again" We need to save the monkey's " she said.
Zee: You're such a jerk !!
Boston floated to Izuku and Batman's side " ah not the monkeys" Boston said.
Zee: Says the man who has Newcastle and 100 other screw-ups on his resume costing lives and souls
Constantine: but not monkey-
Izuku: Enough !!!
Izuku grabbed Constantine by his collar lifting him off the ground
Izuku: We're wasting time and that means more innocent lives could get hurt. I don't care how you feel about helping others or how you feel about helping yourself but if you know what's good for you, you're going to help cause if you don't I'll throw you out the house myself cause as far as I understand this building sees me as its master and not you got it
He glared at him as Natsu, Meliodas and Rokuro showed their own glares
Constantine didn't know why but every instinct in his body was screaming listen to him" f-fine and dandy let's take a walk on the dark side mate" Izuku let go of Constantine who walked away grumbling following him was Batman and Boston both impressed.
Batman: nice work
He petted Izuku's shoulder as Boston gave him thumbs up. Izuku followed them to the door but stopped waiting for Zatanna who was still shocked so he winked at her while sticking his tongue out playfully.
Zee giggled and walked to his side taking his hand as they walked after the others.
Timeskip:
The group was following Constantine who seemed to be in a hurry while on the walkway infront of a dozen houses.
Zatanna: quit acting like a child and tell us where we're going.
Constantine: Richies
Zatanna: Have you talked to him lately
Constantine: I know he's pissed you don't need to remind me love it's on my CV remember
Zatanna: no really has he told you-
They turned a corner to see dark spirits of the of the dead infront of a door " oh no he's dying" said Constantine.
Spirit 1: John Constantine purveyor of the dark arts and lifeline of last resort.
The group began approaching the house
Spirit 1: No matter. Your friend's soul will be collected, and there's nothing you can do to alter that.
Constantine: Why don't you go do something useful, like haunt a house?
He said angrily
Batman: Who's he talking to now?
Izuku: They look like corrupted spirits
Boston: Shrouds. They deliver souls to hell
The spirits began approaching Batman
Zee: They're drawn to you
Constantine: Maybe it's your cologne, batsy.
Spirit 1: This one has cheated us many times it is vexing
Batman: ...Boo
The Shrouds jumped back
Constantine: Well this has been lovely, but it's time for you lot to bugger off
Constantine created a ball of golden flame-like magic with a symbol in the middle
Spirit 1: When the time comes I'll be the one to collect your soul Constantine
Constantine: Yeah yeah
Constantine thrusted the sphere forward causing a wave of golden magic to blast the shrouds away with a flash of light.
The door to the house was then opened by an old man with an outback accent.
Richie: I thought I felt a disturbance in the force...How are you doing Johnny boy, Zatanna and...Batman what the hell?
He asked with shock and awe
Constantine: Tell you everything inside mate
He said as they walked up the staircase into the house
The house was designed in a way that would make you think collected. It had wacky artifacts and was incredibly messy.
The old man shakily put his hand on his cane and smiled at Zatanna who approached.
Zatanna: You poor thing
She placed her hand gently against his cheek as he leaned into it " yeah I may have lied the last time we talked, about exactly how fast I'm sledding downhill I'm sorry about that " he then turned his head angrily to John. But his angry look became a happy smile
Richie: But it means a lot you're here John and you don't have to say it, you, you're forgiven. Still wondering what Batman and this kid's doing in my living room. When are they gonna shut up right haha?
He laughed weakly while Izuku looked somewhat scared and Constantine rubbed the back of his head.
Izuku's thoughts: He just made fun of Batman
Rokuro: You too idiot!
Natsu: good riddance
Meliodas: Sate sate
Richie: What, what's with the face?... You're not here to say you're sorry, are you?
Constantine: Course I am...But I was looking to borrow the Kenshati key as well.
Richie: Un...Believable
Zatanna: I tried to tell him on the way
Richie: Yeah, It's not your fault, Z. Just like everything this is rockstar Johnny's fault
Constantine: I was with you when it happened, Richie. We were side by side
Richie: Yeah, yeah, yeah side by side. But I got the weird magical cancer while you added to your rep. Isn't that right?
Constantine: Look, me not making proper amends isn't related to the key, which truth be told mate you're not gonna need, mate
Zatanna: John
Richie then punched Constantine across the face and tripped right after, fortunately, Batman and Izuku caught him in the nick of time helping him back on his feet but he pushed them away not wanting their help.
Constantine: Getting that a lot lately
Richie: You can go screw yourself. I am not giving you crap.
Batman: Your anger is understandable, but you need to reconsider. Innocent lives are at stake
Richie took a moment before walking over to a chest and removing the lock opening it up and pulling out a strangely symbolised token " well, doctors say an upbeat attitude can help so what I'll focus on today is that I met batman.Force of good, it was also nice seeing you Zatanna. Now if you'll excuse me...You can show yourselves out ".
Richie walked away after handing Batman the token following him both Batman and Izuku left outside the front door followed by the others.
