Chapter 7 - CHAPTER 7, THE WEAKENING OF NEW POWER AND BATTLE WITH DEMON

The Ancient Cave

The cave breathed a silence older than time itself. Even the air felt frozen—heavy, suffocating, as if it carried the memory of countless forgotten horrors. Shadows clung to the walls like living entities, shifting ever so slightly, as though they were watching… waiting.

At the center of the cave lay a massive pit.

Its depths swirled with crimson energy—dark, devouring, alive. It did not glow like fire. It consumed light itself. Any sense of hope that came near it seemed to fade, pulled into that endless abyss.

Above the pit stood a stone altar.

Ancient. Cracked. Stained with something that time had failed to erase.

And on that altar—

A human body lay motionless.

Unconscious.

Or perhaps… already lost.

A strange symbol carved into his chest pulsed faintly, beating like a second heart. Each pulse sent a ripple of dark energy through the air.

Around the altar, demonic figures stood in a circle.

Chanting.

Their voices echoed unnaturally, overlapping, distorting—like multiple realities speaking at once. This was not a prayer.

It was a summoning.

No—

It was a warning.

The crimson energy from the pit surged upward, twisting like a storm given form. The cave trembled. The walls cracked slightly. The very air grew heavier, pressing down like an invisible force.

Then—

The body moved.

A faint breath.

The fingers twitched.

Hair lifted, as if gravity itself had loosened its hold.

And then—

The eyes opened.

A deep, cold laughter echoed across the cave.

"In a human form… after thousands of years…"

"I have returned."

The voice was not human.

It was ancient.

Commanding.

Inevitable.

The body slowly rose from the altar.

No hesitation. No confusion.

Only dominance.

A nearby demon stepped forward, instinctively aggressive—

But the moment it touched him—

Its body withered.

Its essence drained instantly.

Reduced to nothing.

The being smiled.

A smile that carried no warmth.

"No resistance… no challenge…"

"Yes…"

"Now the game truly begins."

Without another word—

He walked out of the cave.

And with every step—

Darkness followed.

His destination—

The Hero Training Forest.

The Hero Training Forest

The forest stretched endlessly, dense and alive. Towering trees blocked most of the sunlight, casting long shadows across the ground. The air was filled with the sound of training—metal clashing, footsteps moving in rhythm, instructors shouting commands.

Everything felt normal.

Disciplined.

Controlled.

Krish moved with his class, maintaining balance, hiding his true strength as always.

And then—

Everything stopped.

Not gradually.

Instantly.

The wind died.

The sounds vanished.

The forest fell into absolute silence.

A pressure—

Heavy.

Crushing—

Pressed down on everyone.

Breathing became difficult.

Bodies froze.

From the depths of the forest—

Something emerged.

A figure.

Distorted.

Unnatural.

Its presence alone shattered composure.

Weaker cadets collapsed instantly, their bodies trembling uncontrollably. Some couldn't even stand. Others stared in terror, unable to move.

"Attack!" someone shouted desperately.

Blades flashed.

Energy bursts erupted.

Multiple attacks struck at once—

But—

Nothing happened.

Every attack vanished upon contact.

As if swallowed by an unseen void.

The demon raised its hand slightly.

And then—

It attacked.

Not physically.

Mentally.

A wave of pressure crashed into their minds.

Fear.

Nightmares.

Despair.

Reality twisted.

Several cadets fell unconscious.

Others froze completely.

Krish stood still.

Observing.

But the moment his eyes locked onto the demon—

Memories exploded inside his mind.

"It's him…"

"The one who slaughtered the Royal SSS-Rank heroes…"

"The one who nearly erased half of humanity…"

A chill ran down his spine.

This wasn't just a demon.

This was destruction itself.

And then—

A voice echoed.

Not outside.

Inside him.

"You were once the Ansh of Mahadev…"

"And now… you hesitate before a mere demon?"

Time froze.

The world disappeared.

And Krish found himself—

Elsewhere.

The Inner World

A vast, endless space.

Below him flowed a river of dark, blood-like energy, pulsing slowly like a living entity.

In the distance—

A throne.

And on it—

A figure.

Calm.

Unshaken.

Waiting.

"We are the same," the figure spoke.

"You are forgetting who you are."

"You are a fragment of Mahadev and Mata Adi Shakti."

"The five elements obey you."

"You were never meant to fall."

Krish closed his eyes.

Breathed in.

Breathed out.

And then—

Opened them.

Calm.

Clear.

Unshaken.

"I am a fragment of Mahadev."

"I am divine."

"The five elements… obey me."

The moment those words were spoken—

The Inner World trembled.

And reality returned.

The Battle

The demon attacked again.

Dark chains of mental energy surged forward—

Trying to crush him.

Break him.

Control him.

Illusions surrounded him—

Death.

Destruction.

Endless suffering.

But—

Krish did not move.

Earth rose.

Forming shields around him.

Wind surged.

Cutting through the illusions.

Water flowed within him.

Cleansing the corruption.

Space bent.

Erasing the remaining pressure.

The demon stepped back.

For the first time—

Uncertainty appeared.

Krish raised his hand.

"Now…"

"It's my turn."

His voice was calm.

But absolute.

"I am Devansh—"

"A fragment of Mahadev and Mata Adi Shakti."

"Five elements…"

"Appear before me."

The world shook.

Five forces manifested around him—

Earth.

Water.

Fire.

Wind.

Space.

"You have summoned us, Devansh."

Their voices echoed as one.

Krish smiled faintly.

"Dragon…"

"Come forth."

The sky split open.

A massive fire dragon descended—

Not ordinary fire.

Soul-fire.

Living energy.

The demon laughed.

"You cannot kill me."

"My body is nothing."

"My soul remains."

Krish's eyes glowed.

"Then I'll destroy that too."

The dragon roared.

And released—

A single breath.

Soul fire.

Everything—

The body.

The soul.

The existence—

Reduced to ash.

Gone.

The Demon World

Far away—

A powerful entity coughed blood.

"A fragment of my soul…"

"…destroyed?"

Its eyes darkened.

"There is someone… in the human world…"

"I will visit soon."

Back to the Forest

Silence returned.

Krish looked around.

And with a single thought—

He erased their memories.

The cadets stirred.

Confused.

"What happened?"

"Maybe we're just tired…"

Training resumed.

As if nothing had happened.

The forest returned to normal.

Peaceful.

Calm.

But Krish—

Collapsed.

Not gently.

His body gave up completely.

He hit the ground hard.

Breathing heavily.

Every muscle trembling.

His energy—

Still unstable.

Still overwhelming.

Dust rose around him.

Sweat covered his face.

His body felt like it was breaking apart.

But his eyes—

Calm.

Unreadable.

Hiding everything.

Because now—

Something had changed.

He had crossed a line.

He had touched a power—

That was no longer human.

And even though the world returned to normal—

Krish never would.
